PC users can't help but be obnoxious, it comes with the territory.

No joke. It reminds me of how Mac users treat PC users. It's just stupid.

Besides the nice thing about consoles is that you don't have to install drivers, install the game and have to put in key codes. You never have to worry about a game not installing properly or worrying if your GPU/sound card is good enough etc. You have the satisfaction of knowing that no matter what game you buy it will always work and you never have to install it etc. you just put in the game and it plays!

Having the talent and skills to be able to do those things you mention is what makes PC gamers superior.

When the bombs drop, PC gamers will be saving the butts of all the consoler gamers out there, because we are go-getters, doers, critical thinkers, and fantastic troubleshooters.  Our skills are peerless, and we can adapt and overcome in any situation.

Ive had a 360 since 11/2006 and have only had to replace one xbox. This wasnt actually due to a RRoD, but a drunk roommate shoving the controller plug into the slot upside down (causes the system to short out). Other than that I have been very happy with my 360. I usually install all games that I am currently playing to the hard drive to save wear and tear on the system. I used to play a lot of computer games (Half Life/Counter Strike, UT3, Deus Ex, etc), but I love the plug and play aspect of console games. I havent had to worry about the specs of my rig in years. All I use my computer for now is the internet, itunes and...not much else.

@krisj451 - I'm not sure if anyone else has the same situation as mine but I'll throw it out there. I am IT Support so I work with, on and help people with their computers for 8 hours each day. I love my gaming PC but I hate having to look at my computer for another 4 when I get home. The thought that PC Gamers are some kind of saving grace to the world is insane. I'm not sure if you are joking or not. On these boards it's hard to tell.

360 controller isnt compatable with mass effect 1 or 2

If they were I would have bought mass effect 1 again on pc

Fallout 3 was great with PC graphics and 360 control

Er, not to support any PC vs. Xbox discussions, but there are people with the knowledge to build a PC that runs better than the 3,000 + dollar models for 600 bucks. Mine can run everything I've put on it beautifully, Crysis, ME2, you name it. Just ( ;_; ) 600 bucks for all that, saving alot in comparison to most of the crap you see.

@ Valfrekr : I paid under 1400 for mine over 2 years ago.

Quad 6600 2.4 OC to 3.2Ghz, 8800GT OC, 2 500GB HD, 4GB RAM, Asus P5K board

{{ Dual Boot Vista Home Premium, Mac OS Leopard (retail, not stripped) }} *wicked grin*

It was a great deal, and shows you don't have to spend a boatload of money on a system, even one customized, that will last you many years. But I digress...

@ pedesh : The 360's have been plagued from day one. I wish you luck in getting yours fixed / replaced.

@ Everyone who responded to my comment:

I understand that it's not too expensive to build your own rig, and yes I was embellishing on the $10,000 price tag- The was in responds to the bloke who thought it fit to rub the OP's troubles in his face; I guess my sarcasm was missed. Anyway a new 360 can be had between $200-$300. It's conveniently assembled for you and you are spending less money and time. Truth be told, PCs are better than consoles, but I think consoles have their place in the galaxy. I know my rig would run this game, but in fear f it running choppy, I decided to get it from the console.

My original message was meant to show that folks shouldn't gloat over others misfortune, simply because they have a PC and the OP doesn't.

P.S. Not everyone is knowledgeable enough to build their own rigs.

Oh then you must be playing ME on Linux then right because all those things you mentioned are a hysterical joke on a M$ box.

360 scratched my Bayonetta disc (and no, I did not move the console, and it was horizontal). I had to do that toothpaste + pressure w/ cloth technique in order to fix it (well, minus the toothpaste; no way I'm putting that on my disc). Bayonetta must have been too much for it to handle.. now I'm scared to put the disc back in.

I'm thinking about moving from the 360 entirely and buying a PS3--or even a Wii! But then again, I'll be missing out on some good games..

Mine wouldn't close, the tray would stay open and even when pushed back in, it'd pop out. Friend fixed it, something wrong with the magnet, been working like a charm since.

The new 360's seem to be much better. I'm playing in 1080p and I've had it about 1yr and it still works great. Even when I play ME2 for a long time it doesn't get very hot at all.

Several years ago I bought a X-Box to play KOTOR on...terrible piece of unreliable garbage...I had to replace it twice then just gave up.  No more consoles for me.
