That would be so boring though. I hope we only have alien LI's and squadmates :P

What people find boring continues to baffle me. Now not only being human is boring, but romance with a human is too. Your lives must suck xD

In scifi and fantasy I tend to be more intrested of non-human's and relationships (not necessary romantical) between non-humans and humans than humans and relationships between humans ^^

While generally the romance scenes were very well done, it felt very lacking to only have one major scene near to the end of the game and a couple conversations.

Perhaps I was spoiled by DA:I, but when I romanced Garrus I felt like I just didn't get to talk to him enough. I started to hate those goddamned callibrations!

The problem with a 'no sex before marriage' companion is that it builds up to a resolution players are unlikely to ever see.

Marriage is a huge, life changing event. BioWare is not going to be able to do it right without investing a huge amount of resources.

well I think that what they could do for people who chose this option would be, if they make this a series, have a pre-battle marriage. I am sure that in real life people who think they are going to die but love someone and have been dating them for a while get married before they head off to battle and have sex and then go off to battle. I may be wrong about that IDK but I think that this would solve the problem for those who chose this option and want to see a marriage and then do the deed and then go off to the final battle in the last game of the series. This could be the way they could use to solve you statement. it wouldn't have to be expnesive and they wouldn't have to use a huge amount of resources to do it. the only thing they would really have to do is have a military pastor on the ship throughout the game. or at the last game

Hi, first of all i had to read all the pages of the topic to have a general idea of what u guys are expecting or had experienced in previous games.

ME universe is very new to me. My first was ME3 : 2,5 years ago. For those just like me whom started with ME3, we had to chose randomly between Kaydan and Ashley as survivor. I chose Kaydan the result was : Liara and Diana allers as ur only options as straight male Shepard. Diana Allers is not really a romance, and Liara is blue with tentacles.

Major issues that come mostly here and there in different topics and forums (both in DA and ME) :

- Too much tragedy when ur PC is a straight woman, and lack of alpha males such as James Vega (testosterones) or KISA such as Cullen and Alistair when it comes to gay romance. If BW has to make one effort, it will be this one.

- Sex as a reward at the end of the game.

- Ur lover being a complete stranger outside of the romance scenes : Let ask Ashley and Kaydan.

- A certain level of friendship or romance should add a bonus skill.

As ME is also about Alliens :

1) Making a clear and franc difference between alliens way of romances/sex/romance and humans. More exotism won't kill. In the real world such differences already exist. For exemple where i'm from, couples don't frenchkiss, or any kisses at all, except the hands. The way romances with should be must be different from human + human. To resume an unexpected WOW experience.

2) The other problem with alliens sexualities is : it's similar to humans. BW could get inspired by, vegetals, and animals. Alliens don't necessarly need to copulate to have kids. in ME serie Taly could use some device for virtual sex, and Liara more into Tantra and psychic connexions.

Before i forget : to me Krogan are like horses, sex with a 440lbs krogan can kill u.

Not only romance but also the way BW handle any relatioship in their game is a clear plus. But more realism in regard of the physical/chimical laws of their worlds will be necessary for the next ME. It is not just about romances with alliens for the sake of romancing alliens.

Having characters such as EDI, Joker, Aria, James, Scout Harding will definetly be a huge bonus.

Anyway so far i have not been disapointed on the contrary it was always a pleasure exploring BW universes.

Mass Effect needs more characters like Miranda, Legion, and EDI. As far as the romance or sexual content aspect of Mass Effect goes, I'm hoping for more characters like Miranda and EDI... especially Miranda. And with her black alternate outfit please ^_^.  (I realize Miranda likely won't be present in ME:A, but I'd be satisfied with a character that is similar.)

Also, the game should have more opportunities to have sex in it. It shouldn't be a once-per-game thing. And there should occasionally be prostitutes here and there in the galaxy for the sake of realism if nothing else. Prostitutes have always existed throughout human history and always will. To not include them in open-world games diminishes the realism & immersion of the games, which is bad.

Also, don't listen to the people who say they want "equality for femshep."  That's ridiculous. Most of the people who play the game are males, so it makes sense to have more sexual content geared for males than for females.

At this point I am inclined to agree!

The only romances that I ever really cared for were the ones I headcanoned and fanfic'd...into obscurity. No one ever wants to read OC fanfic.  :crying:

Didn't you buy the game for the game? Romance is a side show. You can buy a Harlequin Romance novels, if that is your main interest.

That femshep equality poster is ironic if you look at DA:I as the answer to it.

2 straight options and 2 gay/bi for men, 3 straight for women and 2 gay/bi.

...I exaggerated this so much in my mind before I wrote it down.

I would like Future Romances to be more about the love that our Character and our chosen have for each other and the emotional connection. I would like for it to be less about the physical aspect of the relationship. Not all Romances need to lead to the bedroom. For example, Solas in DAI (for those that don't know) is a good example of an emotional relationship with out having to have a "bedroom scene". We need to have a choice on weather or not we want our character to get physical with that LI, without worrying about said LI getting there feelings hurt.

It's 4. ME is leaned toward straight males, while DA is leaned toward straight females. I doubt neither sides complain when they're the ones who receive the benefit anyway. Fairness is a funny thing.

Option is a wonderful thing, just don't choose the dialogue that leads to sex as Bioware stated they would give the option to skip over the sex scene in subsequent games anyway instead of making it mandatory. One reason why I didn't go for Josephine. I don't care if it's fade to black, so it's not about seeing nude video games characters, it's about the intimacy in my headcanon.

After seeing this thread and the arguing in another thread about mature content, I'm convinced they should just make ME: Andromeda a first person shooter like Call of Duty.

If I was rewriting romances for the trilogy it would be:

ME1

Ashley (Gay)

Kaidan (Gay)

Liara (Bi)

Tali (Straight)

Garrus (Straight)

ME2

Kelly (Bi)

Jack (Gay)

Thane (Gay)

Miranda (Straight)

Jacob (Straight)

Garrus (Straight)

Tali (Straight)

ME3

No new romances (just continue the others)

Jacob...

....maybe improve on him as opposed to making him a low life cheater.

Yeah, I'm hoping there are more romances like Solas or Josephine in future titles, leaving that aspect of the romance purposefully ambiguous while focusing on other parts that tend to get pushed to the side for the sexual part of the relationship. Or at least ones where like you said we have the option to do the deed or not without ending the romance.

Make straight character gay and no one bats an eye, make gay character straight and everyone loses their minds.

Romance without physical connection called friendship. Like male Inquisitor and Sera time on roof was very emotional. Or mage Inquisitor and Solas I hope Inquisitor can join Solas and help him.

Bioware is one of the biggest SJW champions in the industry, but this proves nothing anyone can do is enough to satisfy these entitled crybaby SJWs. The sad part is, if you look at dev Twitter accounts, Bioware is intent on making these nut jobs happy.  It's a major goal for them. It's their mission.

It would be better if Andromeda had fewer romances that had more effort put into them.

Obviously some could be bi like Liara and double up which would save resources.

Crazy to think, but there are people who treat this third person shooter franchise as a datesim despite how brief said content is(and how horrid it is).

RE: that femshep "equality" poster,I see nothing wrong with it, as despite what femshep's vocal minority of agitator fans would have you think, only 18% of people played as her(most people didn't even finish the games to boot). If anything, I'd argue femshep got more content that she deserved.
