Call-Of-Duty-Black-Ops-II-logo1.jpeg

In terms of choice and consequence. An article for your perusal: Choices and Consequences in Black Ops 2.

Also, a chart of the extensive decisions/options and repercussions.

Spoiler

Isn't it time for Mass Effect to challenge the C&C found in one of the better RPGs of last generation?

I think aspiring to do C&C better than Call of Duty is a perfectly worthwhile point.

There may be C&C, but can you press 'X' to pay respects. No you cannot and that is why the good folks at Bioware should look to the superior game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Personally I think Bioware should look at 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand.

Didn't play this, but if that chart is real then I'm rather impressed.

The reactivity was good but those strategy missions blew so hard.

Not a perfect game, but the reactivity is very real.

It was funny how if you chose to kill your 'companion' or whatever you would call him, the conversations with him in later missions would still play but he'd be absent. So your character would be saying the same lines as if he was there and end up talking to himself, pauses included.

Wait, there's choice and consequence in Black Ops 2? ****, why did I condemn those CoD games? I need to play them right now.

Indeed. Has a few bumps along the way, but there's a surprising amount of response to the ways you can choose to handle situations.

Didn't play this, but if that chart is real then I'm rather impressed.

Contra: Hard Corps on the Genesis wipes the floor with the ME trilogy when it comes to divergent paths and endings, so Call of Duty being able to do so isn't all that impressive or even surprising.

I applaud Blops 2 for having C&C that was dependent on gameplay(unlike Chud's philosophy of divorcing gameplay and story), like in the case of apprehending Defalco and his captive in one mission, you actually had to run after his ass and get to him in time before he escapes with her, if you fail, there's an additional(and optional) mission where you have to extract her from somewhere else, with Defalco showing up later on and affecting another portion of the game. The endings weren't dependent on A or B or RGB like in ME1-3 as well. All in all, a pretty praise worthy attempt at experimentation on Treyarch's part.

It's real.

This is a troll post.

No it isn't. Pointing out how Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 did the whole 'choices & consequences' a lot better than Mass Effect (which is a fact) and asking BioWare to make ME:A more like CoD:BO2 is not trolling.

If you're playing for story then I would definitely go with the Treyarch games overy Infinity Ward. If you're going for bad@ss characters and solid action scenes I would do the opposite.

The natural evolution of this forum will baffle future humans.

They will look at a massively long database, filled with threads titled: "Feedback: Be More Like X in Andromeda, Thoughts?" in which X is a variable. X will represent a reference to every historical figure, fictional character, story, thought, idea, discontinued nerf gun, monkey-typed Shakespeare play and non-optioned Hollywood script in human history. And... if that wasn't enough, each one will be duplicated with X being the thread title of a thread to which the new thread is referring in a giant meta-pancake of logic.

It will read like the writings of Jack Torrence mixed with Dadaism.

Blops 2 also only has like a dozen variables and only needed 5 hours of content most of which is combat, it's a lot harder when you multiply both by 6, things get stretched out.

Infinite Monkey Theorem

I seem to have an unhealthy love of piling obscure references on top of each other and pointing to the pile like:
