New game plus would allow me to try more challenging difficulties. It also adds more replay value to the game. Few options.

You have to check them to keep them. Keep level,Skyhold items,Gold,Items,Materials,Mounts you bought, Potion upgrades,Weapons, armor,Inquisition level, and  schematics and etc...

All your stuff. Your companion stuff goes into the chest at skyhold.

Or you can start fresh. There would be check marks on all the items that carry over and anything else that carries over.  Play your way in a new game plus.

Since the enemies don't scale, those wouldn't really be more challenging difficulties. You would be vastly overleveled.

Another point against is that you can keep playing after you've finished the main game for as long as you want.

And what would be the incentive for NG+ if you already were at the level cap and had the best possible gear for you party.

Maybe using the Keep to change up the world drastically from before, redoing the quests at a quicker speed, and not having to regrind for the schematics you love would be my answer to that.

Enemies might scale if new game plus comes in.  I didn't think there was a level cap. I thought they remove it? You say best gear? The best gear? How is that possible?

DAI would benefit from having NG+. If they implement it, they could make enemies more tough. Other games are doing that.

Also, the fact that you can keep playing after the end isn't a point against. You could choose to end your game or keep playing. Some games do just that. Ending the game would result in choosing between a new game or NG+.

And the incentive is a no brainer. I doubt that one can play the game and get every single party member decked out all with high tier gear and weapons. Unless they're doing some crazy farming. It would allow you gather a decent amount of money to purchase all that expensive stuff that causes the Inquisition to go bankrupt otherwise. It also would allow you to keep the Inquisitor you like and play again to make new choices. I did that a lot in Mass Effect, I liked my renegade Shepard so much, I NG+ the heck out of her. I could name more examples, but I think that's enough to understand why it could be an incentive.

I am not against NG+, but the game lets you max out your character in a single playthrough. Personally, I finish one character and then roll out another.

The level cap is 27 and you can easily get to it long before finishing the game - my current character is at the level cap and she hasn't even started the Wicked Eyes quest. And the best gear means the highest level schemas with appropriate materials.

I always gear up all my party members. Yes, it does mean some farming, but you end up with the best equipment and no amount of NG+ would change that.

I loathe farming and NG+ would most certainly change that. You'd have more money and you'd be able to purchase some of the high tier materials. You wouldn't need a lot of the materials that you do loot because most of your team would have decent armor from the first playthrough, so you could then use it to outfit them with higher tier armor, instead of wasting it early on when they need armor. Seriously, if you have to farm in order to get the best gear, something is wrong in the design. Pfft, I did four playthroughs (really only three, as I had to restart because of a game breaking bug) and then had to farm to get a FT Silverite. It took four games + farming. So yeah, NG+ may not increase your chances of picking up better materials, but it would allow you to use what you do pick up more freely.

Also, NG+ could raise the level cap and if you wish to make a fresh character...well, then do so. The ability to choose NG+ isn't going to hinder you in any way.

I'd really like that, then you could keep the character's face instead of trying to recreate them by consulting screenshots.

I'd like it even more if it functioned like the Tales NG+, where you pick exactly what you want to carry over: Levels/talents? Equipment? Items (like elfroot)? Collectibles (like Shards and mosaic pieces)? So you could start off at level 1 again, but with those 40 elfroot you collected in your last playthrough and have no more use for.

IMHO, the point of bring in NG+ for RPG is encourage player to try some thing different while challenging more difficult enemies etc. In the case of DAI, I don't think NG+ is really necessary. Spend more time and energy on next DA to improve its quality is more urgent matter.
