How hard would it be to find out? While you're at it, investigate what the sound of 4 Claymores going off at once is like ![]()

That's as glorious a thing as they make.

If you aren't constantly dying on w1, your build is too conservative.
But I HAVE to quote this just for its motherfucking, beautiful truth. Seriously. Anyone who wants to improve their gameplay, listen to this advice.
I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I better not catch you guys playing with me and ever dying enough times on wave 1, because I don't believe you. It happens. Like my last game yesterday VS Geth on Rio Platinum. We were all dying & popping ops packs like crazy that wave 1, though afterwards it was typical BS BSN "smooth sailing" lingo. And I had I glitched Puggernaut 1000 Spitfire X. Good thing I brought Survival Gear (a Puggernaut should never leave home without it).

I only had time for a few this weekend but I have to say, I absolutely love this class. First game I got was Glacier/Geth, and while I only ended the game with 1 gel and 2 ops packs left, I had a **** ton of fun with her. QFE isn't the best class by far from a min/max perspective, but idk, it had more to do with feel than anything else. The cryo blast stagger syncs well w/ the reload on the Claymoar, so I think as long as I mind my surroundings in the future, I should be able to remain upright more, to say nothing of the Geth's cheating stunlock practices and other nefarious bullshit they're known for. ![]()

That's precisely how I play her. (Edit: Ammo or Turret Rank 5 may be different on occasion.) QMR will always slap an Adrenaline Mod on in preference to the Cyclonic, and will always outscore me considerably, but as you say it's not all about min/max with her. Just great fun.

Glad to know you discovered how awesome it is to play her that way
I go incendiaries and adrenaline, as you know, but what matters the most is that you're feeling her... Way of playing, her fun.

Yeah I'm going to fool about with my ammo/armor bonuses, I just went CM3 to start b/c I was new to her, usually the safer route, esp b/c I went all powers/passives and no fitness.
I have to say too, I have always been a Drell guy, always been a favorite species to play, always liked the powers, (plus it's a uber-fast green assassin with a badass trench coat, wtf is there not to like?) but I will say, between the QME, FQE, and QMI, there are a lot, lot, lot of things to like about Quarians as well (dem hips, for example
).

I use flame turret. It's decent cc. Not as good as combat drone, but if you throw it at slow armored units and time your incinerates you can get lots of 6/6 fire explosions from it.
Incinerate is aoe at rank 4 and cryo synergy at rank 6.
cryo blast is full 25% debuff, duration instead of aoe.
5 points in passive, 3 points in fitness.
Also she has a shotgun. Wraith specifically.
She's a feisty little suit rat.

Upright is a nice change of pace, but I prefer my QFEs in a horizontal position

They don't. Toasturret is awful. Can't shock, lower theoretical DPS, no headshots, no rocket lawn chair= toaster crap. The only thing it has going for it is the shield restore, which I guess geth need because they're too stupid to not get shot or need glorious quarian pugs to curry them while they play support. Maybe need to up their processing power with some more code upgrades from their toaster BFF Reaper buddies.
Fitness is the defintion of "wasted points" on most charaters for gold and plat apart from the shield recharge specs. Extra CC and damage is a lot better for aiding an aggressive play style than being able to tank 2 or 3 more bullets from a single mook while still getting shieldgated by heavy hitters regardless. Only crutchlonics give meaningful shield increases, but they aren't affected by fitness at all.
If you aren't constantly dying on w1, your build is too conservative.
"Wasted points" would apply to any points in turret at all. Whatever kit they are on. Turret is a seriously underwhelming power, to say the least. If you want to say that the Geth turrets have lower DPS that the Quarian turrets, sure, but relying on them for damage output at all means you're doing it wrong.
Evo 4 of the Quarian turret is the best evo available over the two types of turrets in this game. However, IMO, the healing evo's on the Geth turret offer much better utility for doing objectives in PUG matches. Other than that, once in a blue moon, when I don't have a read on where the spawn will happen (due to funky pug positions) i'll look at the turret to see which way it is firing .. that is about the only useful thing it does.
As far as fitness, in theory, looking at the math behind it, it can be wasted points. However, in practice, it is not. Enemies don't fire 1 shot at a time and wait to see if you are shield gated. Many times you will be under fire from several enemies who all do low damage and have faster rof weapons, this is a common occurrence. Fitness helps in this regard, as you don't lose your shieldgate every time something attacks you.
And trust me, I die on wave 1 commonly, I am qualified to comment.

If dying on wave 1 is a qualification, you should all be worshiping me as some sort of Mass Effect deity.
