Found this one on youtube it's an old favourite of mine and never gets old. Always puts a smile on my face.

The simple fact is that there are (and never can be) enough epic space battles!
I love ME's space battles, both in ME1 and 3. IMO, the Battle of the Citadel in ME1 has some of the best choreography I have ever seen.
And say what you will about Star Wars Ep 3, the space battle scenes in the very beginning of the movie are awesome.
The re-imagined BSG also never failed to show off beautiful space warfare, using rather oldschool weapons (for SciFi anyway).
And finally, keep an eye out for the upcoming Star Trek Axanar. If the prelude is any indication, it looks like we may be in for some very neat vacuum packed CGI.
Well, sadly they're purely in a written form, so no videos, but there are some great battle scenes in David Weber's Honorverse series. OK, they're basically Napoleonic era naval battles IN SPACE, but that's no bad thing.... ![]()
Odan beat me to it.
But here's an example.
Now watch LOTGH
Jeez

Baaah humbug, I will wait for battlefleet gothic armada to come out for truly great space battles to arrive, in the name of the Emprah.
I agree, though I am disappointed that the Tyranids, Necrons, and Tau are not getting representation in that game.

Heresy! Although they're a small developer by the look of it so they might release them down the line as expansions. Seems a lot to take on given their past game development record.
You humans and your heresy this and heresy that. ![]()
I didn't know that the developer was looking into adding the other races in; definite kudos to them if they can manage to pull it off. I would like to see the Hive Fleet the most out of all the remaining species/factions. Personal bias aside, having an entirely organic fleet is bound to offer more unique play styles and gameplay mechanics than any of the other fleets out there.
I know the prequels get a lot of hate, but I love them if just for the scale they added to the franchise and battles like this.
Who needs space battles when you've got wormhole technology?

Given how OP Necrons were in the tabletop game, can't say I'm hugely bothered by their absence ![]()
That's it guys.
Babylon 5 had some amazing battles. And so did Farscape once the wormhole weapon was activated, though that was more the PK's peeing their pants and the Scarrans trying not to pee themselves.
OK since there really isn't much in the way of epic videos text is fine..
For space battles in Sci-Fi all I have under my belt are Babylon 5, LOTGH and Star Wars.
And LOTGH beats them all down to a pulp.

Sure they were OP, but that could be easily rectified by only allowing the Necron player to field a small number of the weaker vessels.
What? It's on Mars. Mars is space.
Reminds me, I bought Astebreed awhile back but I've never played it.
Nothing beats "Ressurection Ship, Part 2" and "Exodus, Part 2".
I can just imagine a LOTGH series with these visuals

OMG awesome seeing that resurrection hub go boom
Yeah Battles take too long, I prefer blowing up planets
