Good post. I think initially what I, and the people I played with, wanted was some transparency on the issue. I am a person that gets bored very quickly when something that should be challenging turns into a giant free for all. The irony of course is that people who benefit from these cheats will end up beating the game to boredom much faster than those who play within the rules. For a game that turned into a lot of fun (so there are a few bugs...) that is a sad legacy to leave behind.

I am asking for stat corrections. Banning an individual for a certain period of time will not erase the promotions they have gained through the glitched lobbies.

It would take some serious man hours to determine who deserves that punishment, and to put it into effect. I don't think the MP team would devote resources to such an undertaking. One thing that could be done though, is that those who have not abused the XP exploit could be given an XP multiplier to match what you'd get while in an exploit lobby. This would ideally run for however long it will have taken for the XP exploit to be fixed.

Ok....there are challenges that are released broken.  We've completed them 53 times before they're fixed and nothing retroactive can be done for that one particular challenge.  You want them to go into the play history of every single person who has XP glitched (after determining legitimate games and accidental xp gains) and set the amount back to before the glitch started?

No, but rewinding a player's profile to the date before the glitched happened shouldn't be hard to do. No bans, but rather fair in my opinion.

Lets say not only they could do this, but they are willing to do this.  How do you suggest they determine who has done this on purpose and who has just joined rooms where it was active?  Is it just the filthy leaderboard people who deserve this because they are on leader board and everyone else is ok regardless of amount glitched or what?

That would not be equitable, as that would eliminate not just the gains from the exploit, but the promotions that could have been legitimately gained as well.

I think I have encountered this today. been playing MP a few days, mostly threatening, and one game I received twice the gold I think I am supposed to, and after the match I went from close to 13 to 16.

wow man i have not posted here before but i can ony take so much of reading this. i read fourms every day and have been following this topic close.  all i can say right now is that every 1 knows there is a glitch 90% of players on damp are doing it across all game systems, its a fact of life at this point.  denrok1 i have only 1 question for you

I am new to the game and bad at it. I look to these forums for help and denrok's repeated rabble rousing makes it quite unenjoyable, i would appreciate if you stop. If you have such an issue with the game find another to play and stop trying to ruin it for everyone else. The game was made for its excellent campaign and the multi-player is just an added bonus. If the leaderboard is is such an important achievement for you maybe you need some better goals. Hope this helps

Actually it was the other way around. Multiplayer came first in development.

So someone on the forum is able to ruin your gaming experience by posting about their own gaming experiences? How does that work? And you object to someone who signed an agreement with Bioware stating they won't exploit bugs and then making note of the fact that the game is nearly unplayable without hoping into cheater's lobbies and thus violating this agreement? Personally I meet too many cheaters in real life and would prefer my leisure time not be occupied by them.

Saigeo, maybe you should consider private lobbies. It is just annoying to see the same 2 people threatening to quit the game. Please just do it already stop trying to bring down the rest of the community. Pet resvue saga and candy crush have a leaderboard if you need one
