I'd rather they prioritize the bugs which crashes/disconnect. They gives me less xp, ruin my gameplay and are much more frustrating than knowing some people are gaining 2x xp.

If they do anything but patch it the game will die. Resetting stats, bans, or public hangings will make a lot of people stop playing. They already made us upgrade.... What they should do is change the board to like win loss ratio or idk. The board don't matter but when your on it it's kind of competitive but it's not pvp so no matter how strong john doe gets it doesnt matter. Plus I missed do many weekend challenges. They should patch it and call it a day before no one plays anymore.

Pointing out the fallacies in your statistics and calling you out on your very squishy "facts" is trolling? But what is 4 months of key glitch compared to the fact we still have the dogs...

The glitch is here, hopefully it will go away. But in the meantime screaming about it will not make anything happen any faster. They will get to it when they get to. Enjoy the game you payed for. Don't want to play the multiplayer anymore, because your pride has been damaged, then fine. Go play the single player, that's what it's there for.

But, until they fix it, you need to put your grown up panties on, and wait.

Like most people, I don't like the way Promotions/Stats work either. I've been against on the forums, in threads dating as far back as when I started playing the game.

While I think that the concept of a Leaderboards is constructive, what we have in DAMP is an abomination compared to what we had in ME3. I still hope the whole thing goes through an overhaul one day.

Nevertheless, I am vehemently opposed to cheating, especially cheating that gives unfair advanced to those merely based on how unethical they want to play the game while diminishing the efforts of others who have played passionately for thousands of hours. The glitched XP cheating is overtly and blatantly visible on the Leaderboards across all platforms, but it takes place at all levels of DAMP, in both private and public lobbies.

A fix would do wonders in mending the issue at this point, though it will most likely take a few more weeks for it to be released, at which point the effects of glitched lobbies will be even more noticeable than they are today. Therefore I am in favor of punishment of some sort. What and How, I don't know. Bioware/EA have Terms of Service to adhere to, they should know better.

It has been approximately one month since the release of the hakkon patch. As most of us know, it was after that patch when players started creating glitched lobbies where everyone in the said lobby would gain approximately four times the normal rate of exp. Below are some quotes from different people I play with on Xbox1 that do not post on the forums:

 

1. "I did not want to participate in the glitched lobbies at first but when I was grouped with someone who had 100 hours less playing time and higher stats than me I started joining the glitched lobbies too"

2. "If Bioware is not going to ban people over this glitch why shouldn't I take advantage of this"

3. "I quit because of the exp glitch. It cheapened everything I did" -formally ranked top ten player

4. "I stopped caring about the leaderboards. I can not keep up with the amount of people cheating"

5. "I can tell you right now the players actively participating in the glitched lobbies. I see them all the time in random pugs"

6. "I can't join a quick match without the lobby being bugged"

 

 

 

The quotes from the players leads me to post sections of EA's terms of service found in section 11 rules of conduct:

 

- Abuse or exploit bugs, undocumented features, design errors or problems in the game

 

- Promote, encourage or take part in any activity involving hacking, cracking, phishing, taking advantage of exploits or cheats and/or distribution of counterfeit software and/or virtual currency/items

 

-Use and communicate exploits and/or cheats

 

 

 

It is clear from EA's terms of service creating a glitched lobby, and participating in one (aka accessory to the exploit) directly violates the terms of service.

 

From my observations there are approximately twelve players on Xbox1's top twenty five who abuse the exp glitch regularly. Three of the players have gained approximately 210 promotions each over the last three weeks and are new to the top twenty five.

 

My point is the cheating is rampant on and off the leaderboards.  Players who want to play by the rules are quitting and are becoming frustrated at the lack of apparent fix and or punishment on Bioware's part.

 

In the end, I would like a reply from Bioware on what their vision of a correction is. Does Bioware's future vision of DAMP include allowing players to keep their glitched promotions? Will players creating the lobbies ever be banned? These are some questions I as a DA player would like to know because if the way I think a fix should happen and Bioware's implementation of the fix do not match, I can move on to another game sooner rather than later.

 

Lastly, I respect the amount of work and dedication Billy and the rest of his staff have put into DAMP. I know their plates are full and the exp bug is not the only thing they have to deal with. I think your staff has done a tremendous job at creating a multiplayer game that has kept a lot of people coming back. Kudos to you all.

There are those of us who are waiting to know if we should move onto a different game if a stat correction is not implemented, and knowing what direction Bioware is heading in sooner rather than later will make this transition easier. I do not want to play this game for another four weeks to find out that Bioware has decided to allow sir cheats a lot to keep his promotions when I could have left four weeks earlier. Make sense?

if you have to wait to make a choice that's a fail on your part, make a choice stay or go.... don't cry that a game is delaying YOUR decision, because it is YOUR decision after all

According to BSN, being on the leadeboards makes you eligible to this thing called e-peen. I'd totally post a pic of what it is but Bioware has yet to send me one.  

 

At this point, I'm hoping more people are taking advantage of this glitch. If there are more promoted people, maybe the NM pug scene will be less barren.

1. A month is a long time to pin down and resolve an exploit especially without an update from the company

2. Having players/customers actively violate a terms of service for a month plus is a big deal.

to add to this.. don't they have to reserve the date in advance if the download is a certain size...... has any one thought that the fix might be complicated and may have had to been thrown in with patch 9 .... I mean I heard they can do small up dates any time they want, bu larger ones downloads is a different story if every game could just put out a download when ever they want inst there a chance  Xbox servers could get clogged up....just food for though.

do you want the devs to fix this  Bug today? if it meant delaying patch 9 a month or even to?  

have you ever thought of the cost (monetary value) of diverting resources to fix the bug?

have you ever thought or do you even know how the programming development phases work,

You might want concrete answers and blanket bans but the only people responsible for the state of the game are the devs.
Not the community.
This is not a democracy.
You play the game or you don't.
EA doesn't care if you play it.
They only care if you bought it.
Or heaven forbid, bought platinum (I did )

When ME:A comes out DAIMP will be turned off.
The game concept and basic mechanics are amazeballs but the inherent issues killed off any chance of success a long time ago.

Demanding the devs try and plug holes in a sinking ship when their hands are tied by a dwindling budget is not going to make EA even so much as blink.
Threatening a corporation with leaving after you've already shelled out for the game makes perfect sense to them.

Expecting a community to fall on its sword or devs to blanket ban 50%+ of the player base will simply bring the clock forward.
The bed has been made.
Sleep in it.
Or buy another one.
