Another 4 pages of waffle.
Another thread ignored by the devs.
Another Leaderboarder quitting coz they don't like xp.

You might want concrete answers and blanket bans but the only people responsible for the state of the game are the devs.
Not the community.
This is not a democracy.
You play the game or you don't.
EA doesn't care if you play it.
They only care if you bought it.
Or heaven forbid, bought platinum (I did :( )

When ME:A comes out DAIMP will be turned off.
The game concept and basic mechanics are amazeballs but the inherent issues killed off any chance of success a long time ago.

Demanding the devs try and plug holes in a sinking ship when their hands are tied by a dwindling budget is not going to make EA even so much as blink.
Threatening a corporation with leaving after you've already shelled out for the game makes perfect sense to them.

Expecting a community to fall on its sword or devs to blanket ban 50%+ of the player base will simply bring the clock forward.
The bed has been made.
Sleep in it.
Or buy another one.

When your right your right

wow man i have not posted here before but i can ony take so much of reading this. i read fourms every day and have been following this topic close.  all i can say right now is that every 1 knows there is a glitch 90% of players on damp are doing it across all game systems, its a fact of life at this point.  denrok1 i have only 1 question for you

who the hell do you think you are???    answer nobody

what you want don't matter.

how you feel dont matter.

what you say don't matter.

if you quit ..... don't matter infact plz do

if all these players crying endless like small children on the playground want to quit so be it. i would rather play with players that glitch lobbys rather that those with a holier than thou attitude that feel like they have the right to police the game like it was made just for them.

you wanna sit around and tell bioware how they should adress the situation??? hmm sorry i didnt realize you work there.

you all wanna say you will quit if they dont do what you say???   lmao quit you won't be missed at all  you will bring joy to every 1

if you wanna cry about a bug that happens all the time regardless if you want it to or not?  welcome to the 1% you are the minority and you will lose.

my final thought is you want boiware to punish 90% of players to make you happy?? wake up from your dream and get in touch with reality.  it will kill the game for every 1

Ok.  This stops NOW.  I don't know who you all think you are with your rude comments and harshly worded facts.  My feelings are hurt for the OP and I am the moral compass that this site runs on.  There are reports on their way for 3 of you rabblerousers.  I will not stand for this kind of behavior on an internet forum for video games.  I'm clicking it right now and I will be filling out the complaint form thoroughly.

I just let out a grunt as I clicked the report button too.  I'm serious now.  I can't wait until you get a warning point omg its going to be so awesome!

The relationship doesn't really work as report=moderator action.

There is a stronger relationship between the reporting and moderating process now than there used to be, but that is a consequence of the changes made to moderation. NS and Raen did not rely on reporting for their moderating. While they did respond to reports, they also looked into the forum on their own time as volunteers. They read the forum as members (NS was a BioWare employee originally, if I'm not mistaken) and thus their moderation took many forms, of which responding to reports was only one form (albeit was likely the most common one.)

With the shift to employed moderators, the nature of the relationship has changed, and it seems likely that reports do now make up a larger percentage of what brings moderator action about than they used to.

But that shift is not as pronounced as people think. A single report could draw a moderator's attention to a thread, who then feels there are reasons to look over the thread. At that point, it seems pretty likely that they aren't going to focus as much on the substance of the thread as they are the more obvious violations they see as they pass over. It's doubtful that they are taking the time to look much at names or read deeply, since this is their job, and they may well have a lot of reports to get through. It is likely that images - whatever they are - are eye-grabbing, and thus pretty likely to get noticed while looking over a thread.

None of which is meant to be interpreted as my thoughts about how it should work, only that I'm pretty sure that's how it does work. People are too focused on the idea that the people reporting are the issue. I don't think they are. Even if they were, it would be impractical to address the issue from that perspective for forum members.

I still think the recent uptick in moderator actions is the slowly ebbing lack of discretion that comes with experience. It's what happened when the first slew of employed moderators were brought in in 2013. Everything was against the rules, bans were being handed out for everything (rule violation or not) people were being banned in error with no recourse, and none of them were even filing reports about any of it, so there was no way for the devs/mods with experience to even sort out the mess.

There was another recent influx of moderators, and a significant increase in the number of moderator accounts being used. I think the uptick is a direct result of that (and that, mostly, BSN is just as BSN as it has always been.)

It's not as bad now as it was a few months ago, when the new ones first came in, and as time goes by, they'll use discretion more and more, and the more frivolous reports or harmless images will go ignored more often.

I also think we just got used to the place being incredibly lenient for about a year. I admit, that was nice, but it was the exception to the way it usually is. Hopefully we'll settle back to something like that again.

We've been as transparent as you can get.

Exploiters will be investigated, banned if we deem necessary.

Leader boards will NOT be reset.

We are investigating fixes.

Can't really be any clearer.

I think the important things to infer from Fiddz post:

1.)  There will be no stat corrections, negative XP, stat rewinds, or any other forms of punishment except for bans.

2.)  Bioware will not release any specific guidelines on who or when they will ban (if they even do ban).  You will not know if a "ban wave" took place, if it ever does.

Well, it does affect gameplay. Sure, I could play my 20 archer afterwards, but that's not what I want to do. When I'm going from 15 to 20 in one perilous match....meh. I wanted to go up the normal amount to select more skills to play. At level 20, I just promote. To each their own, I guess.

BTW, I was surprised to learn that someone can set this glitch up on their own. I joined someone on zone three FC who was soloing and the match was glitched. *shrugs*

It has something to do with host migration, so a lobby can actually get glitched by accident.

Can it be inherited?  I ask because I went searching for a match, got placed in a lobby by myself in the first position, and I noticed when I began to play that I was getting doubles.  So, unless I inherited the lobby from a group that was doing it deliberately there's something more random at play.

I'm no technical expert, but I believe this is what happened.  You actually get placed in the lobby before it actually visually catches up with you.  Now, it is entirely possible that in that time window, you were placed in a glitched lobby and those who were there left, leaving you in the lobby that someone else had created.  But, someone with actual technical expertise is more than welcome to come prove me wrong, this is just my theory.

Dragon age inquisition.....59.99

Damp platinum......99.99

Xbox live member credit 24.99

Dlc..14.99, 4.99, 4.99

Banning a large% of a player base for a bug you inroduced......priceless

I cant wait to see how this ends up   #customer killer#

Just my opinion here but i think ban waves would be a huge mistake.

If there is a riot you dont nuke the city you just take control and get things back on track

I would look into who spends the $$$$$$ before i would feed the trolls as trolls are very hungry and few and far between.

But in the end it isnt my call to make

#cant we all just get along#       its not pvp!       its not life!       its not worth it!

But it is nice to see players with proactive ideas on the matter

I call bs  i wont say exactly how it happens out of respect to the support team but it does indeed happen very easy as no ones fault

Either you know how to do it and you can defend your statement or you dont and should keep your opinion to yourself

However if you do know how its done it means you do or have done  it

Its a tight rope you walk on dont fall off.

Y'all be careful with these Thunderdome challenges you're issuing.

Don't accidentally challenge yourself to one and then trash talk yourself. Because that's grounds for a perma-ban.

Just ask Orpheon... er, well, if he was still here, that is.

I don't think they really care about your small spend, they didn't seem to care when they dropped support for xbox360 and PS3.

MP probably makes up for 0.001% of their users.

Wait are you even on next gen?

That depends.  What is next gen?  Is that crap games, 500gb HD, and no blueray support for mics?  If that's "next gen" nah.  Not impressed.

Pay to play online is cool though.

I can't answer that question without telling you exactly how the glitch is caused. But I'm actually pretty sure that in that case the glitch was caused by accident.
