So, here we are again, getting basically the same response from Bioware as before. Do you guys finally get it? Repeatedly complaining on the forums does no one any good. All you can reasonably do is wait and see what happens with the next patch. So if there are any further complaints about the lack of response from Bioware on the matter, please proceed with donning your dunce caps.

It's true that we are unlikely to get the type of response that would appease all, but again this is a forum and meant to field comments and opinions, it's a place to let out some frustration at times and to inspire change or improvements. While I really appreciate that Fiddzz and the others have worked hard to fix this issue and given us some guidance at times, it is still not as transparent as what most expect.

While in the military and in the corporate jobs I have had, if there was a serious issue that needed to be fixed you would never have gotten away with "It will be fixed when it's fixed" kind of statements. People want solid information, an ETA on a fix, and also the process flow of the fix etc. Under-promising and over-delivering is best in these cases. No one has stated the issue would be resolved by 8/11/2015 at 5am EST. They probably can't though because of how the process works or due to legal issues. So all we know is that a patch typically takes 4-6 weeks, and we are at 4 weeks now.

Additionally, and more importantly I might add, is the fact that the forum is the only place that I know of where BioWare has addressed the issue. However, the forum is not even half the player base, so word of mouth is the only way to inform people who do not read the forums, and I'd say about half the word of mouth going around is in support of using the glitch. No notice has been posted on the game itself, and I have not heard any comment from the Dev's in their Twitch stream. Maybe that is acceptable to some, and honestly I never really expected more clarity than they have given, but the community still has a right to ask questions until the situation is resolved. Just know you have probably gotten the only answers that will be given and hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.

Didn't they do a splash page about ToS violations a couple of weeks back?

So exploiters will be banned if deemed necessary.

As an elitist, Leaderboards sucker who likes being on the moral highground of things, I can't wait for some Inquisition-esque witchhunting Ban Waves to start taking place. It is high time BW/EA put their money where their mouths are in regards to ToS breaching.

If ban waves happen they should start right about when the new patch comes out (or before).  If after 3 weeks of the patch being released, and still nothing happens, you can bet nothing will happen (as far as punishment goes).

Personally, I feel the "if deemed necessary" part of their wording is their escape out to do nothing out all (in terms of punishment).

Why does it bother you so much that people actually want a response and communication from the devs about issues that affect the game?

If you see a thread topic about an issue you don't care about, instead of coming in and crying and stomping your feet... why not just pass it by instead? Is your ego that fragile that you cannot handle people caring about things you don't care about?

I'm simply pointing out the futility in regurgitating what's already been said over and over. And contrary to what you (seemingly) believe, I do care about the subject matter here. Perhaps you would understand that if you'd read my other posts (huzzah for making assumptions!). So here, good sir, have a dunce cap. You've earned it.

Not that I am aware of, but anything is possible. If so then at least that is more than I thought had been done. I know they updated their ToS recently, but I have not seen any ToS pop up/link in-game or anywhere other than the forums in the last month.

sulaco_7,
You are correct that wording is everything. We are told it will be resolved in the vaguest possible terms. No point in getting into it now, but in the past how they did deal and how we should deal with the glitch was ambiguously worded. The best way they could have handled it was by handing out early warnings, or suspensions, (I tend not to get overly excited about banning) when the problem was in its infancy. Now it's just completely out of control. I'm actually surprised that a huge company like EA doesn't have some PR specialist they can insert into such situations, because, frankly, the devs aren't paid to handle this sort of thing and we'd rather have them working on repairs.

I have owned every generation of PS headsets and the new ones are especially comfortable and also can be used as standard headphones if you want.

I was wanting an announcement from Bioware with something more inline of what Nordstrom would do with a bug like this. Here is an example from Nordstrom's Fraud & Alerts page:

6/19/2015

Customer Alert: Deceptive Nordstrom Card Website

We recently learned...

5/20/2015
Customer Alert: Deceptive Websites Selling Special Occasion Dresses
We recently learned about two deceptive websites that are using the Nordstrom name...

4/6/2015
Customer Alert: Email Phishing Scheme Offers Fake Nordstrom Modeling Contract

We recently learned that customers have received a fraudulent email that offered a fake Nordstrom modeling contract for an upcoming photo shoot in New York.

Please be aware that Nordstrom is not affiliated with this email in any way.

On their webpage, Nordstrom gives a detailed account of each fraud alert, what is included in the fraud, and ways to protect yourself. There is a reason why I do a lot of my shopping there when the need arises.

I thought EA was a small to medium capped company. EA's stock price of $71.80 has the company's net worth valued at $22.41 billion. I was wrong. O-O

Yes!

This is more important than bioware cutting off support for the ps3 and 360.

This forum does love itself some drama.

What I don't understand is why this bothers people who "don't care" about the leaderboard.

People getting more powerful in general is gonna make PUGs easier to grind with.

For me, I sure hope they invest the minimal amount of time possible in "investigation and punishment". Every single second they waste on this is a precious second they could be adding content to the game.

Hope we don't eat one on the kisser when a planned DLC ends up not making it out during the support period because they wasted too much time fooling around with this issue.

People joining now don't even have a hope of making it on the leaderboards anyway, and Fidzy already stated they aren't resetting the leaderboards, period.

But by all means gentle people of DAI BSN, please murder the cow and then spend your last months of DAIMP support crying about how there is no milk.

Its pathetic how exploiters try to defend themselves with trolling.

Bioware almost lost all credibility in hosting multiplayer games.

That depends.  What is next gen?  Is that crap games, 500gb HD, and no blueray support for mics?  If that's "next gen" nah.  Not impressed.

Pay to play online is cool though.

next gen  has blueray support :P
