So I'm a weirdo who likes being utterly drenched in blood when playing DAO, and I like reaching the maximum gore level (reached after getting 20-25 melee kills without going to another area). Recently, something weird has been going on. My character's gore level gets set back by about 10 kills when healed by any source, going from maximum to around the middle in terms of how bloody I am. It's really strange, one second you look like you took a bath in blood, and then the next second you're just a bit blood speckled as soon as you drink a potion or get healed by magic. This is weird, and the first time I've noticed it in dozens of playthroughs. And it doesn't make sense, Zevran also often gets to the highest bloody level you can get, and yet his frailty means he has to be healed a lot... So how is he managing that? It makes me think it's a very weird glitch affecting my file.
So now to the test. Could someone else go reach the maximum blood level and then drink a potion and see if you suddenly have a lot less blood on you than you had before the potion? You should know when you hit the maximum, you will be drenched in blood. It's easiest to tell on light leather armors and Cailan's armor (due to it being bright gold). I need someone to do the test to see if it's just my file or not, because it happening to someone else would mean that healing causes blood levels to drop is actually normal. I need to see if other people's DAO copy does it too. Easiest way is to put it on casual, solo it so no one takes your kills, and go somewhere with at least 25 enemies (dead trenches, sacred ashes mountain, even the arl of Denerim's estate in the city elf origin which has 32 enemies in it) and DO NOT HEAL BEFORE REACHING THE HIGHEST BLOOD LEVEL.
