Hey everybody, I've been having a lot of trouble finding modules to play lately. Yes, I'm aware of several recommended module lists, but a lot of them are a bit.. overly dark, maybe?
I'm looking for modules that are similar in feel to the OC and SoU. But also something that isn't too dark. As I said before, I noticed that many of the more complex/higher rated modules are really dark and/or gritty (and depressing). There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of semi-serious or lighter modules, and most of them tend to be really cheap and short.
Speaking of shortness, something that isn't 2-3 hours long would be great..
For some reason, I've been feeling drawn to NWN recreations of PnP modules, but there's rarely any mention of them. I don't know which ones to pick, and the NWN Vault changes have not made this easier. Everything is disorganized and all of the original comments/reviews are gone. Now I can't really tell if a module has issues at first glance. Before you could generally find feedback mentioning any problems with the modules. Well, not anymore...

First page of comments were saved, just look under ID number and index.html.
PNP: there are quite a few. Search for pnp. Several pnps are listed here: http://neverwinterva...eries-list-nwn1
Light hearted modules.. 1) try searching for humorous 2) those made for kids, if that is not too infantile: http://neverwinterva...rough-copy-nwn1
- Of the ones I have played recently underdark blues series is light-hearted, but quality is not the best, but not the worst either. Just make sure to bring potions of clarity (~20 of them?) and/or potions of invisibilty in case you want to skipp some fights.
- HMC series made for barbarians is also light-hearted. Unfortnately part 5 can't be played, but it is not a cliffhanger otherwise.
- Hex Coda is kind of light-hearted albeit part 2 is unfinished
- Trev(?) G1-G3, D1-D3, Q1, Q2 pnp conversion is light, but towards the end is more dark, but not overly so
- Heavensgate 1,2 (3 in the making) is also light-hearted, puzzle-orientated
- Penultima and panultima rerolled seem to be light-hearted, humorous modules, albeit single module is short, the campaign is long enough

- Amn's destruction is like a clone of OC, albeit for higher levels and features adult content (but not overly dark I guess)
That is all from me, I hope it will be of any help.

Have you tried my oldest module "Hrothgar's Resting Place"? Depending on how you play it, play length should be between 2 and 4 hours. It is based around a short adventure from dungeon magazine that I have greatly expanded.

I can recommend one called ''Not my first choice''. It's not all that dark or gritty and has a great story. It's only a shame that the series was never completed.

I would like to recommend Udasu's creations(mostly pnp/game conversions): http://neverwinterva...tribs?uid=udasu
Just stay clear of Lankhmar Nights an Ill met in Lankhmar - those are about Lankhmar, the city of smoke and can be depressing(though still pnp conversions).

Sorry, RL called me for a bit. I will check out all of these modules later as soon as I get the chance. Thank you all for recommending these to me.
