Not that our character's physical appearance will matter due to the fact that prolonged living conditions on a giant sanitized space ark has weakened everyone's immune systems turning them all into Quarians who have to wear exosuits at all times lest they die of infection, but if the main character's likeness is based on some famous model or actor as was the case with Vanderloo Shepard who would you like to see provided the likeness and voice?
Likeness and Voice of the main character?

Ah. Nice post. I think the PC will be modeled after someone. I wonderwhat traits and characteristics they will give our PC. I wouldn't mind seeing a person of color, Like Denzel Washington or Will Smith.

But, I don't really care who it is, I just want an iconic looking person were I can play the default version if I wanted to, like I did with mShep.

I think that version of Clint Eastwood would be AWESOME! Imagine during the trailer the character we saw takes off their helmet and it's that face of Clint Eastwood, then you have "Ghost Riders In The Sky" playing in the background. That would be epic. I love it. That's the iconic look I was talking about. lol.

No, it's not very deep, just questioning where you got the fact, where we have generations exposed to the sterile enviroment, so we end up like the quarians.

That wouldn't be bad. I believe Clint would be more suited for this

Oh for **** sake, it was meant as a joke, I honestly did not think anyone would take it so seriously nor did I think I would have to explain that but it seems I expected a little too much from you.
But honestly isn't the living conditions in sterile environments a big part of why Quarian immune systems are so weak?

Quarian's never had a strong immune system to begin with, then having to flee their homeworld and living in a sterile environment made it worse

So are these people providing the voices as well or would you have somebody else do the voice acting?
Also having a hard time imagining Zoe Deschanel as a rugged pathfinder fighting off space pirates and scoping out and exploring uncharted planets for viable colony locations.

But now that there's the Idris Elba option, all other options are made of fail. It's really a waste of resources for Bioware to have a non-Idris Elba option.

Vanderloo wasn't a particularly famous model when they used him for ME1.

He was famous enough to be recognized by the folks at Bioware who said "hey this guy looks pretty good, lets use him as the model for our protagonist!"

All we need are decent voice actors. We're creating the look of our characters ourselves anyway.

That makes no sense. You have to be famous to be good looking? Some of the people they used for face models are so unknown that fans still haven't figured out who they are.
And it actually behooves BioWare to use someone who isn't very famous since a highly recognizable face would always draw thought and comparisons to that famous person's other works.

The point is that it does not matter how famous these people are, the point is that Bioware used the likeness of a real person for their protagonist, how famous they may or may not be is so irrelevant to the conversation it boggles the mind that you would feel the need to bring it up, seriously what were you hoping to get out of this line of inquiry?

And yet... how does a no-body become famous? By getting picked at random, because they're what the game/movie studio was looking for. I never heard of Shepard's IRL model until Mass Effect., likely you haven't either.
