No, but it's one thing to hide your worst qualities and quite another to completely lie about your core ones.

It honestly doesn't matter. I've seen this song and dance before in lots of guys I've known... you'll go around and chase tail and then, one day, you'll meet a girl who knocks you on your ass, puts you in your place and you'll fall crazy in love. I've been a groomsman in too many weddings to not see it coming at this point.

So the problem is... People suck

Not at all. People want to believe in the best self, whether themselves or someone else's. People see jaded reality all day, every day... but if you can get someone to buy into the ideal? The higher concept? You sell a piece of yourself that is true, that is the most pure aspect of who you really are, how you really view yourself, deep inside.

And the best thing? Everytime you sell another person on that concept of you, of your best qualities distilled and your worst qualities expertly managed, you get one step closer to believing it yourself, through and through. And once you truly believe you can be the best form of yourself, then you will BE the best form of yourself. Sure, with slip ups, with mistakes... but those just serve as proof that you have more work to do, more steps to take, to become that version of ourselves we always hoped we could be.

Yeah you are going to have to explain that one to me, of course you do have to keep in mind I am not at all religious and do not subscribe to silly belief systems that suggest that a consensual coupling between 2 individuals (no matter their sex or sexual preference) out of wedlock is somehow immoral.

I honestly can't think of many groups that have less right to call the moral high ground than the Catholic Church.

 

Actually I think the Virgin angle could have a chance to work on priests and bishops within the Catholic Church but I am afraid you might be a little too old for them Bunz.
