I've seen some people advocating a season-pass but this won't happen as BW stated multiple times they won't do a season pass because they don't want their hands tied when developing DLCs so I doubt this will happen.

 

I can see them doing something similar to Dragon Age. Hopefully without D1 DLC BS. I really appreciated that from the DA team.

 

I think a Collector Edition could be

 

-A special steel box for the game

-An art book

-A small DLC with a weapon and  an armor

-An MP booster pack

-The game soundtrack

-A poster/map of the Andromeda galaxy (in game galaxy).

 

What would be cool for me would be a dvd called "ME:A behind the scenes" where key BW devs speak about the origin of ME:A as the game main idea and what made them chose that direction for the franchise, how they felt, what were their intentions and possibly some nice background infos about the game characters and their development. This disc alone would be worth purchasing a Collector Edition for me.

 

In any case please BW avoid D1 story/characters DLCs and pre-order exclusives to selected retailers (like Gamestop or whatever it will be). These two things are the worst.

i think the whole box should be in the same size like the ME2 and ME3 collectors editions. so please:

-soundtrack (digital or physical, i dont care)
-special steelcover for the game, with enough space for all the discs, not a crappy bluray box for the PC version like in the inquisitors edition for DA:I
-no statue!!!

-maybe another dog tag, that sounds great and i already have the N7 dogtags

-physical artbook! its alway great to have some insight to the games design

-posters are always great, i really dont like the tiny litographs, they are just too small!

-in game items are not so important

 

oh yeah and dont overprice it like the Mirrors Edge Catalyst CE. and dont forget to bring the god damn PC version to europe from the beginning

I didn't see this topic in the forums (unless it was buried way, way deep in the 'dead and gone' pages) but it's pretty much a given that there's going to be an uber-collector's edition of Mass Effect: Andromeda. That being said, what would you like to see in it? A scale model of the Mako? A poster-sized map of the Andromeda galaxy? A CD soundtrack? Ship customizations? Unique planet colonization modules? Feel free to share them here.

 

I'm hoping that the powers-that-be at BioWare can check in from time to time for ideas...as well as to learn from the issues that plagued the collector's edition of that other BW title.

Ok maybe not wearable but it could be similar to Halo 3 Legendary Edition which wasn't also that expensive to buy.Never had it but I 've seen it and I have been looking to buy that Master Chief helmet from someone off Ebay.

Assuming the CE is in the same vein as the previous ones, I want it to have this:

 

1. a behind the scenes DVD/Blu-ray disc. It really sucked how 3 lacked this. let it have both behind the scenes documentaries as well as any promotional stuff that doesn't make it into the final game [commercials and what-not]

2. a soundtrack. But actually give it to me this time dammit. In the ME3 CE [which I bought new by the way], when I registered it on BSN, it registered as a regular edition instead of a collector's edition so it wouldn't let me have my soundtrack [I had to torrent it]. Put the thing on a card with a code instead of relying on BSN to give it to us.

So to all you gamers out there who've been down the Collector's Edition road before (this is my first rodeo folks) when will it be out?  Approximately?  Like.....a few months before?  The Deus Ex MD was announced less than a month ago and it's coming out in August, so perhaps the ME:A one will be announced somewhere in Dec/Jan?

 

I've saved the money I got for my birthday just in case it's awesome.  Tho after DAI I'm preparing myself for disappointment.

Well since there will most likely Armor/costume dlc in the collectors edition, I just want it to not look like a design that was scrapped from the main game and saved just to make a buck(all the CE armor in ME3)
