What does one have to do with the other? Trophy hunters, however people may feel about them, aren't the same thing as poachers. Paying for a permit from the government isn't equivalent to hunting an endangered rhino to sell its horn to some Chinese guy hoping to absorb its horny powers.
Take a look at this thread and then tell me again you don't see the connection.
Not all trophy-hunters are poachers, aye, and not all poachers are trophy-hunters. But equating those to an economical pillar Zimbabwe needs is nothing but self-serving argumentation, no better than firearms lobbyists arguing that in order to prevent gun crimes, you'd need to arm people as a preventive measure.
It's ultimately just fueling the problem, which is the needless killing of animals. And I will emphasize the word "needless" to close this argument. Any moral concerns aside, trophy-hunters don't add anything valuable.
