I realize that it may not be the easiest to accomplish from a programmers point of view, especially with the limited staff that works on the MP aspects of the game, but I feel as though the game would benefit greatly from these two additions. Considering the fact that I'm on PC, one could questions the applications and efficacy over all platforms. However with the Xbox and PS players, there are attachments that enable or allow the use of a keyboard. However such platforms are obviously more limited than the PC in such aspects, the addition would not go unappreciated, I'm sure.

The problem(s) I'm finding is that for the PC users (at least), those without mics, whom are still quality players, are forced to minimize their games and/or halt entirely accessing the Origin chat system. Not to mention, you have to form a chat room if you want everyone to read what is being written, which is impractical for pugs and even groups of players who find themselves playing together often.

I also would like to see a basic combat log so I'm able to report bugs, glitches, and basic problems. I for one have fallen victim to Venatori mage traps, well after the npc has died, and disappeared. This is not my only concern, but happened to be a problem tonight in some NM runs. Above all else, this would help aid the players in decisions in regards to their class specs.

Of course an in game chats and in game combat logs could also be monitored by BW themselves, searching for common hit words, or validation in certain technical workings related to combat.

How do you all feel?

Try Shift+F1 - the Origin overlay can do a decent in-game chat, although you still can't chat while being chased by four shadows or some such.

I certainly wish there was a combat log for a multitude of reasons...one of them being making it easier to figure out what killed me at times.

In-game chat wise, Bioware was vehemently against it existing in ME3 MP, presumably for potential console cheats or something...so I wouldn't hold your breath even if every other MP game I can think of has a chat function (sans ME3 MP and DA:I MP)

Aren't you supposed to use Alt+F4 (while in game) for this?

I was playing with three friends a few days ago while we were also hanging out on Mumble.  We were joking about the "COME OVER HERE TO STRIKE A POSE IN A GROUP HUG IF YOU GET OVER HERE" spam you sometimes see in PUGs.  So the next treasure room we find I start spamming F4 as we're opening/looting it.  Then I queue my microphone with my push-to-talk key to say something.

My push-to-talk key is Alt...

Not going to live that down for a while.

Brilliant Robbie. Did you get all two-thousand of your posts by making the same old joke that's been around since the internets? #golfclap Bravo.

White Knight Chronicles, the multiplayer part, had an ingame chat system. On PS3. It was pretty awesome. Wish we had something similar here. Personally I have a wireless keyboard connected to my PS4 to tremendously lower writing times. Pretty sure i could write pretty fast ingame without disturbing the flow of the battle with a proper chat system. Would be definitely be a cool to be added. Still, I believe it's near impossible in the game's current state.
