Why does everybody jump?

Something just occurred to me and it had to do with thinking about ME 3 multiplayer. Every character in DA:I multiplayer jumps. Is there a reason for that? ME 3 had dodge. The Tevinter enemy assassins have that sweet flanking dodge. I'm not sure if new dlc agents will break the mold but it would be nice right? To have a class with built in dodge?

It was mostly intended for SP, as you'll often be scaling rough terrain and some collectibles require you to jump on top of objects. It would be nice if there was a dedicated dodge button though, but that likely won't happen with this game.

bahahahaha   no lag reported!!           routine is none      threatening is good        peri is tolerable     nm is horrible  no one reorts it because its usually slow psn servers

I like that about ME3MP, most of the characters have an inherent dodge.  Would love that in DAIMP (ie Hold jump button + direction to dodge).  Dodge could be upgraded to remove debilitating/damagin effects.  Bit of a irk for me in Halo too; futuristic soldier who can only jump around.

lol @ eCs - I actually do jump for joy when my team extracts...they all probably think I'm either suffering from horrible lag or having thumb spasms, but that's okay - I make my own fun.   :D

most of the time i'm jumping i listen to music, and i do try to jump with a rhythm

I believe jumping forces some kind of sync check with the host, so there's that. Also, how else you gonna get acrobatics up?

I like that idea but I would also add an inherent taunt to all the characters. Just a button to make you character say "Hey you with the stupid face!" Or whatever, have fun with it, and have it affect a single targeted enemy. Give it a 5 second cool down and a clunky animation like challenge has... In fact, lets just remove challenge from the warriors skill trees and give it to all characters (use up those d-pad buttons) and make it so its taunt doesn't work with cutting words and that'd be just dandy if you ask me.

Yeah, no more chasing after a single enemy that franticly chasing down a rogue barley clinging to life or an AFKer at the beggining of the zone.

Because for some bizarre reason, jumping seems to combat lag. This only makes sense in a bioware game. Where the netcoding is so bad that mashing jump is the fix.

Because Bioware cant code stairs or any form of elevation for that matter. Which means that jumping is necessary

You better keep it down or ea overlord is gonna hear you, as it charges its cuntomers extra money for having fun in games.
