I disagree. There's only one place I want to see the Wraith



like they could reintroduce that space trash compacter from Zaeed's room in ME2, but fill it with tincans

Is a good gun, it is, but... I prefer Claymore.

Not perfect but still without any doubt the best gun in the game:

 

1. Light as a feather

2. 80% damage of Claymore

3. Superb accuracy for a shotgun

4. 2 shots in a clip

5. Fast Reload with or without reload cancel

6. Amazing synergy with all powers

7. Gold and Shiny

8. So badass that it is banned in Citadel Space

9. Criminals like to use it

10. One shots all mooks in the game as well as Ravagers

You do have very valid points here. The 7th isn't less important than the other : the Wraith looks like a gun we could see in a gangsta rap video, isn't that awesome ?

 

More seriously, I actually rate it in 2nd position, behind the Arc pistol :

 

1- Arc pistol

2- Wraith

3- Talon

 

Those three are the trinity of OP unbalanced perfect weapons in ME3 MP, guns without real weaknesses.

I agree with that trinity if we're talking about players who can actually aim. Otherwise I offer the l2p trinity (which I am still guilty of using from time to time):

1. Acolyte
2. Venom
3. Reegar

Reegar third, because although it is most damaging, it takes a bit of skill to get in and out of close range encounters without getting dropped.

I somehow agree with this "L2P" ( ) trinity, though actually I'm wondering if I would not put the Venom in first position. Acolyte weights nothing, has a 5x multiplier versus shields and barriers, can hold a power magnifier, etc., but the stagger the Venom offers... (while still remaining relatively light). A few months ago, when I was soloing plat with some characters I didn't really care about, I found out that the ultimate crutch combo was more Venom / Hurricane than Acolyte / Hurricane, actually.

 

I agree that the limited range of the Reegar makes it suboptimal in a lot of situations.

Yup I just find it more fun to use, im not saying it's better in practical terms than the Wraith (although it is better at staggering).

I... Fail to understand this. It can't have 80% of the damage of another gun and still be the best gun in the game. It simply doesn't compute.

 

That being said, unlike many believe, I don't really dislike the Wraith per se. I just really dislike its tincan sound. I think, if they replaced its sound, I might actually pretty enjoy the gun.

 

Now my question to the tincan lovers is this: do you really like the sound of the tincan? Or do you not like it, but put the gun's "on paper" qualities before its sound?

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea where you're getting this "tincan" thing from (and frankly no idea what you even mean by "tincan" in this case). Wraith's sound is perfectly in line with other shotguns in the game. It sounds like a slightly meatier version of the Eviscerator, which is exactly what it is; there's some nice bass in it and it certainly sounds much more substantial than the common/uncommon shotguns.
 
I could just about understand this criticism if you were talking about the Scimitar, but Wraith... that just baffles me. The way you keep going on about it makes me feel like we're playing a different game sometimes.
