Bioware please fix the games sound fx

One of the weakest points of DA:I is the games sound design, mainly with the games sound effects. There will be a delay  of the sound fx on your current action and when the sound fx for that action play.

 

It's most noticable in the menu sreens that have sound effects (mainly the character record menu when applying skill points) and when using the attack button (started a few fights that were all to silent with no sound when the weapon impacts)

 

There is also an annoying glitch that appears when your influence level reaches 20 and you spend all the inquisition perks, the sound effect when your influence level goes will play when ever you exit any menu screen.

By far and away the weakest technical aspect of this game, for sure. That and how the ui gets stuck and breaks the game if you tap down on the dpad right as you open the character menu, with the wrong timing.

But yeah, the sound being gone for dozens of seconds between every transition is beyond incompetent from a supposed AAA developer, even granted that they have lots of bugs and I polished rough spots.

Sound delays also happen when you whistle for your horse. The animation happens but the sound delays to a couple seconds after the animation.

This game is still bug ridden and not properly patched. It's almost a year since release and they haven't fixed these problem. Hopefully the Descent DLC will come with a patch that fixes such issues.

I thought it was my PS4 that was messed up but I've played other games on it and realized its DAI sadly .I barely hear music at all and when it does come its never lasting.

That's not as bad as banter still being glitched on PC.

What seems to be happening is that the SFX are not loaded until you use them, and even then, they're queued to be loaded individually.  So if there's already a string of I/O requests to the drive pending, the SFX requests get backed up, and then hilariously all play in rapid succession, and way too late.  It is abysmal design.  There is no excuse for this.  All the short sound effects required for any setting should load quickly as one data stream.  At the very least, they should load up front ASAP, not piecemeal, minutes later, when the player fires an energy barrage or the horse decides to whinny.

 

When entering a new area, I'll often use all my abilities against nobody, just so I can get my SFX loaded up.

speaking of broken SFX why can I hear Blackwall's attack grunt in battles when he currently isn't in my party.
