Ok i want to know wants is happening at 1:00 in this trailere is it so kinda old magister I am not sure it seems like it might be friendly

Looks like a dark spawn Emissary.

If that massive thing is just an emissary (An emissary Alpha, maybe?) and not a magister I'll be resubmitting my theory about emissary's being the first breed of darkspawn, separate from hurlocks and genlocks rather than a derivative.

If it was a magister, they were pretty nonchalant about slipping him in there.

It doesn't really feel like it's focusing on things I'm interested, though obviously we don't know much yet.

You guys ready for some grade A first world problems?

I can't play The Descent when it comes out, because it's releasing two days before I head to Disney World for a week.

Disney's still better than Dragon Age will ever be. You'll be fine. :) I'm going to Disney World for a week in October!

I won't worry about the dlc until I get a ps4 and that won't happen until October when I get it for the Uncharted trilogy

Oh man I wish I could go during that time of year. I went in late May/June and it was hot as balls. Really fun but still, hot as balls.

They forgot the most important - price. Let me guess, 15€/$? No thanks. I'll wait for a sale.

Can you not take the time to smile and be happy we're getting new content? Seriously.

Can you take to the time to realize that not everyone just nods and smiles at whatever is offered while acknowledging the possibility of disappointment if the DLC is similar to Hakkon?

I'm glad you're happy with it but expecting people to all universally be pleased by new content with disregard to the possible quality is stupid.

As stated, it might be great. I just haven't seen any indication of quality storytelling based on what I have seen and read. I might be wrong.

However another "save the world from deadly threat" in a row from a Inquisition DLC is starting to get tiresome.

Outside of Spoils of the Qunari, I don't recall any DLC being disappointing. I don't expect to sit around and love everything Bioware ever produces, but this is something I think we should be happy to play.

JoH was actually a really cool adventure that provided us some insight into spirits and the Avaar. Also found out what happened to the original Inquisitor

I think Bioware has MOSTLY done okay with their games, I would of liked some deeper involvement in the main story line for Inquisition, they could of done better with developing Corypheous but oh well.

I think we should be optimistic until we have a reason not to be.

This whole dungeon vibe seems to indicate that this is another grind-fest DLC where you have some cool game features with some story bits to satisfy but nothing much after.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm glad we got DLC... just hoping it's not just another Hakkon.

Look, they're billing it as a dungeon. It's a dungeon crawl. It's a great big dungeon crawl.

That means there will be combat.

They're limited with what they can do in in-line DLC. They can't change the plot of the game because there's no telling when the player will do the DLC, or even if they will, so if you're looking for major in-game relevance, you're going to be disappointed. There seems to be a plot - stop the tremors that are opening up holes in the ground - but my guess is that it's going to be like JoH where you get the War Table operation to open the area and head out when you consider yourself sufficiently leveled to survive it.

But none of that means that there won't be a story. From the look of it, we'll be meeting two new characters, too. I wonder if, like JoH, you can return to the area after you're completed the DLC. I often miss things on my first trip through an area, so I like having the ability to go back later and look around or whatever.

JoH wasn't terrible. It was a nice self-contained adventure with pretty scenery, decent loot, and a fresh look at a culture we've been hearing about since Origins. The overarching story - the quest for Ameridan - sometimes got lost among the warring Avvar tribes, unnaturally aggressive poisonous spiders, and parrots, but it wasn't a bad story, as far as that went. I got more out of it on my second playthrough than I did on my first.

If it's another combat, "exploration" and codex delivered lore focused DLC, then I won't be getting new content because I'm not paying Bioware DLC prices for it.

Actually the HOF is needed for the archdemon. Killing darkspawn is for the Legion!

Once again, I appreciate your opinion.

Unfortunately, I generally play Bioware games for the story, character interactions, and choices/consequences that we generally see in their DLC.

Think Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, Citadel, and Mark of the Assassin.

Hakkon had interesting story elements but suffered from being filled with filler gameplay and extraneous lore (beyond meeting the Last Inquisitor). If you like the gameplay, I can  see why you would enjoy Hakkon but for me it wasn't the typical DLC I enjoyed from Bioware.

I want more story elements that hint beyond what we've seen before.

Give us glimpses of what the future holds for the Inquisition.

Look at how Legacy sets up Corphyeus to how Mask of the Assassin gave us a glimpse of the Qunari's strength and reach... All which helped us understand where the world of Thedas is headed.

Hakkon just didn't really advance the world much beyond telling us some details of the past.

I would hate to see Descent to be similar.

Let me state again:

I don't think it's going to be bad.

I just hope it's not just "descend a level, you fight tough monster, descend another level, you fight an even tougher monster . . . now check out the possessed dwarves  . . . descend another level, you fight a boss . . . now reveal a small story bit about darkspawn . . . game ended."

The Deep Roads look pretty awesome in this, though, which actually excites me more.

Hopefully they'll do the same thing there that the base game did with The Fade: make it vastly more bearable to experience.

That is what I am hoping for too, but I am sure they will do an awesome job with it.

And the secret, I must know what that is!
