Oooo, I wonder what the secret is...it will rock Thedas, or the world. A secret that will rock the world? Hmm.
I think it's litteral.
The secret is already shaking Thedas: Earthquakes.
I guess we'll learn more about Rock Wraith.

Once again, I appreciate your opinion.
Unfortunately, I generally play Bioware games for the story, character interactions, and choices/consequences that we generally see in their DLC.
Think Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, Citadel, and Mark of the Assassin.
Hakkon had interesting story elements but suffered from being filled with filler gameplay and extraneous lore (beyond meeting the Last Inquisitor). If you like the gameplay, I can see why you would enjoy Hakkon but for me it wasn't the typical DLC I enjoyed from Bioware.
I want more story elements that hint beyond what we've seen before.
Give us glimpses of what the future holds for the Inquisition.
Look at how Legacy sets up Corphyeus to how Mask of the Assassin gave us a glimpse of the Qunari's strength and reach... All which helped us understand where the world of Thedas is headed.
Hakkon just didn't really advance the world much beyond telling us some details of the past.
I would hate to see Descent to be similar.
Let me state again:
I don't think it's going to be bad.
I just hope it's not just "descend a level, you fight tough monster, descend another level, you fight an even tougher monster . . . now check out the possessed dwarves . . . descend another level, you fight a boss . . . now reveal a small story bit about darkspawn . . . game ended."
I definitely wouldn't want the game to go like that, so if it were, i'd be frustrated. They said they were revealing a pretty significant secret in the trailer, and I think they will deliver. I assume now that this isn't (strictly) post-game DLC, it is unlikely we'll get to deal with anything old god related (but hey I am open to being surprised!).
I like the DLCs you mentioned as well, they were great. Shadow Broker and Legacy have been my favourite Bioware DLCs to date.
At this point, let us hope we have a fun DLC to play next Tuesday.
Oh, is that one female dwarf in the trailer Bianca?
Only if Bianca picked up an axe and shield.
Please for the love of god, let there be no more ****** shards.
Like I said on another thread, I'm interested but at the moment I'm too focused on ESO.

Was she fighting with sword and board? Didn't catch that. Oh, and they did say new characters. So maybe not Bianca.
....I'll have to watch the trailer again.

Just wondering - How? I got really bored of it. I played on PC, have a VR14 DK and a lot of gold.
Lessee, Team DLC for my Lady Cadash PT: Varric, because he's my "Secret LI". So secret he does not even know about it, about us!...*sizzlesizzle*. But he also has nice range....
Cass, or IB. Not sure with that one yet. Probably IB. I would like to take Solas, but this PT I've been bringing Auntie Viv around the most. It makes me feel more connected with characters when I bring them out often. And usually when I play mage, I'm the only mage in the party. But Cadash is dual wield Rogue. Flexibility...
lol.
Oh man, I can't wait for the companion dialogue and banter in this.
I hope this DLC is short at least. Might as well be linear. Not like exploration mattered anything in JoH.
I hope the advisers have a role in this DLC, and aren't completely absent like in Jaws of Hakkon.
Other than that, this DLC looks good. The DA2 Darkspawn look looks great in the Frostbite engine, and I hope those ghoul-like Dwarves are hinting at going to Kal-Sharok.
I just started a new playthrough, perfect timing it seems.
Varric and Blackwall are set, third spot open.
Who knows, maybe those two dwarfs are mini romances? I wouldn't mind. The dwarf guy seems to be voiced by Steve Blum.
How much will this DLC cost by the way?

Probably $15, like Jaws of Hakkon.
So, now that we've fixed the sky, we need to stop the ground from falling apart?
A tad disappointed it's not post-game, but hey, this means I can have a certain someone in my party.

Is it? I'm seeing him next month. If so, I will have him sign more than my DAO game.
Brace yourselves for Broodmothers in Frosbite Engine.
No pasties please, this remains a mature game ![]()
Pretty funny just watching it pick somebody up and just punch them again and again.
Should be epic
due to it not being held back by last gen ![]()
Can we expect more of the chainmail wearing hurlock? I saw none in the trailer.
Any word on the approximate length of the adventure?
user@BioMarkDarrah Hi, is this the last story based DLC?@user nope, we aren't done yetIT'S OFFICIAL! They aren't done yet!!
From the Twitter thread for all those wondering if we'd be getting more.
Also, *Happy Dance* so looking forward to this DLC!
It will be very, very hard to choose my team for this DLC. Solas, because Solas. And Blackwall I think, because he likes killing darkspawns. But then should I take Varric who has already been into the Deep Roads, and may learn some secrets about his people ? Or Cole with his unique insights ? Or Dorian, if we learn something about the Old Gods ?
It will be hard choice. I would love to bring Cole, but I'm a bit obsessive over having a mage/warrior/rogue/rogue range in all my parties. I'm playing a stabby rogue this time, so, yeah.
I'm saving Solas for my Dalish PT because again I'll prolly be taking him everywhere inn that PT.
