Teacher Unions are the devil and THE bane of our public education system. There are so many scrub teachers, I'd say nearly half of them are BAD. I've never had respect for public teachers, nope. I had terrible teachers in high-school and it impacted my ability in math, fortunately I have a high IQ and love to read, so I excelled in College. But I directly correlated my ineptitude in mathematics to my scrub teachers I had. Furthermore, I grew up in a rather affluent area, so I can't imagine how awful teachers are in poorer demographics and places.

Our public schools and teachers have FAILED our children. They get the F.

How do we get better at math and science again?

Easy.

Fire the millions and millions of derptard teachers that are protected by the Unions.

Kids and technology aren't to blame. I tutored elementary kids in an after school program for nearly 3 years. I was always astonished and surprised at their willingness to learn. Ipod, Ipad, Iderp or not. The kids just wanted to be TAUGHT and have someone TRY.

We have so many lazy teachers, just lazy.

Maybe if we provided them resources to do their job, found a way to effectively and accurately measure success, and paid them enough to make the position desireable to top talent that would change.

Relevant.  And hilarious.

Haha, sucks to be you males. GG indeed.

I've been watching anime since I was born. My parents didn't care as long as I didn't watch full-blown hentai and I turned out to be okay.

It's complicated.

The way I see it though is that it's me, not the technology. I seek cognitive overload and have been my whole life, the technology provides.

If it weren't for the internet, it would happen some other way. Perhaps in a more positive manner, although likely not.
