Only one would throw off the entire spectrum of things because then they'd have to release two more in a stagger so we'd have the same number for r/w/m. That might be what they're planning to do. I just hope it isn't Oghren, I've always hated that guy with a passion.

If anything this just proves how stupid it is to have normal people test your game and sign an NDA. I'm not in the beta, so i see a picture pop up on reddit a few hours after a new trailer and i post it here. I'm not sure what you expect someone who has no idea what is and isn't part of an NDA, he didn't even sign in the first place, to do.

Thinking that we'll get an MP announcement soon, maybe next week after Descent is released, my reasoning? Just a hunch, I think we need to finish Varric's book first & the last chapter comes next week.

I really feel for BioWare, it's quite clear that there is a value to beta testing.
The Destruction DLC's Key glitch is a prime example of not catching something that is not tested 'in the wild'.
But identifying a trustworthy pool of beta testers appears also to be challenging.
When I beta tested ESO I had my username watermarked on-screen, perhaps that's the way to go.
I'm not convinced that it's wise to plop content clearly not of BioWare's release into the site
and the moderators are now clearly out in force maintaining the silence.
All such leakers achieve is even less comfort in sharing information pre-launch on BioWare's part.

I think ME3MP had a similar trickle-feed approach to DLC, at least at one point. So, it wouldn't be entirely out unexpected (if I remember correctly, lol).Only one would throw off the entire spectrum of things because then they'd have to release two more in a stagger so we'd have the same number for r/w/m. I'm all for beta testing. Beta testers can do great work. I've been in different beta's over the past years, but i don't remember ever having to sign an NDA that said i couldn't talk about the game in public. Asking people who don't work for your company to do free work for your company but not be allowed to talk about it is asking for trouble.

You decided to take a picture from Reddit / social media and post it all over BSN for the fun of it (Combat Strategy, Scuttlebutt sections). You're well aware of what you're doing.
I agree with how stupid it is and there isn't much that can be done to prevent leaks, except stricter selection criteria for beta participants. I know nothing will be done but please don't make fun of it?

Bioware didn't allocate enough resources for DA:MP and this is what it is. The NDA is there because the patch beta may contain sensitive information about new upcoming content for MP/SP. If you want Bioware to stop the program then make sure to spread the leaks.

I remember in one of the Twitch streams they said that animals forms were very unlikely because the new engine has trouble with them. Something we see play out when hyenas/wolves run around in circles or get stuck in walls.
Wouldn't that be more of a problem with the AI instead of the model though? A player controlled Mabari shouldn't have the same problems right?

You'd think so. I didn't understand it fully but they said that while not impossible it would take a lot of work to make a playable dog. Given the limited resources I'm thinking that meant they wouldn't be doing it.

I hope that's not the case. I really want to see 'outlier' characters and unique playstyles/mechanics.
IMO, I would prefer a single playable Mabari 'class' over 10 new warrior/rogues/mages with just slight variations on existing powers and abilities. I mean there are only so many variations you can have on the same three archetypes before you get overlap; at least a Mabari would be unique.

The exact reasoning is that they would have to develop animations for dogs to do things that players do that don't already exist (looting, picking locks, reviving(teabagging), etc). It would be too time intensive wheras a humanoid already has these animations readily available.

the DAMP DLC has to be around the corner
I think they always stagger single DLC and multiplayer DLC to be at least a month apart from each other. So not exactly around the corner.
