Darkspawn and old gods are not the Inquisition affair, are the GW and the legion of the dead business, yep getting tired to see the Inquisition snoop their nose everywhere.

I think Hawke would agree with you on that point considering what he/she can loose when they travel there.

Well, the place is right on top of an old god prison, with a sleeping archdemon-to-be right beneath your feet.

I will kill him(if possible) just like the one of DAO ,this time i will not give to him the chance to open the eyes,oh yes i will sacrifice Blackwall and reedem him, dejavu kinda like Loghain!

Oh oh we will get to see an  untainted old god.

Check out the mod of Blackwall without a beard. He kind of looks like the younger Loghain.

Beardman: "Show yer selves!!"

Companion: "Are you sure thats a good ide-?"

*Fire wall illuminates*

....

Beardman:" Nice darkspaw-."

Ogre : AAAARGHHH!!!

(We were planning to give you a surprise party, as decent guests, but because you attacked us, and ruined everything, your going to be dinner!)

Inquisitor: "Uh oh"

*Minutes later*

Beardman: "Oof, oof, oof "

Ogre: (Punching dinner scum is fun, and also a great way to make the meat real tender)

Bearman: "Please, sto-oof!!"

YES! I've always been a huge fan of the deep roads and subterranean exploration in general. I hope its going to be a little ''journey to the center of the earth''-like.  :)

Not sure if I want to see darkspawn again though, they have been in every DA game so far and they are not only boring,  they're getting on my nerves too.

Wouldn't that archdemon awaken by now? It's practically surrounded by Darkspawn. I think it was once the prison of the second old God and hence why the approach is scarred by the blight.

Cool, should be hilarious having Blackwall in your party BSing his way through the deep roads (pre-revelations).

Hopefully. But most likely he simply won't have any dialogue pertaining to it.

You know for some reason expecting to find a dwarf  titan ot whatever the dwarves losts now

That's what I'm thinking.  Dwarves/Lyrium/Titans link.

Maybe some elven link too cause underground green vegetation all over the place.

Remember, its always the elves.  :P

As to it being an Archdemon prison, I could see that too.  Maybe there's some type of force still actively protecting this prison which was bypassed or long dead in the others.  Maybe the Titans were the prison wardens of the Old Gods?  Maybe the seismic activity is a Titan that's actually alive to defend the prison against any Darkspawn breach.  Which is why there's a powerful Darkspawn hoard going after it, I presume (since it doesn't sound like an attack on the surface).

I know! Lol I jumped down there so many times to see what's hidden, but it's just rocks and a weird red glow. I like the other entrance to it with the skeleton. Feels ominous. You hear that same creaking sound that's heard when you walk to the mine.

The faint red glow could just Dwarven fire

Legacy and Mota addressed DA2's problems, but Hakkon didn't address DAI's problems. Do you think this one will? Maybe Hakkon was being made before the main release so feedback came too late. If that's correct then we should see better sidequests this time.

Yeah it had the Deep Roads feel to it. I suspect that when the Wardens got out of there all those years ago, they never looked back and tried to seal it.

There's a discussion about these "darkspawn" in reddit. At 1st I thought that they might be a special type of genlocks, maybe even Ghoulified Legion of the Dead members.

They're armor and general appearance is too polished and sophisticated to be mere ghouls. Maybe intelligent darkspawn?IJkA9RP.png

It looks like they have Legion of the Dead armor.(and also their very own beige pyjama)+ some kind of lyrium decoring the armor.

I doubt they're darkspawn , probably dwarves who did something funny to protect something.

I'd go with Legion of the Dead ghouls.

They're wearing armor, looks like the Legion of the Dead, mottled skin. They're probably ghouls still wearing the stuff they had before being tainted.

as interesting as the DLC might sound, I guess I better get the pitchforks ready since this will probably cost 30 AUD

Considering JoH actually brought in more lore and hints to where the series could be going, it only added to the immense possibilities that DA:I already hinted.  It's like people aren't paying attention to some of the things and discussions that happen in the games at all.  Most of it isn't in your face "HERE IT IS!" but a subtle glance at what actually might be a "truth" to the whole situation.  There are so many little things in DA:I and JoH that, together, start pointing to a certain build in regards to spirits.  Many people seem to be missing these little hints though.

But DA has been doing this since 2 and even a little in Origins, though that had to be more self contained in comparison.  Ever since DA2 there have been hints that all is not as it seems in the fade or in regards to spirits and gods.  DA:I only furthers it.  I am absolutely engrossed and am enjoying delving into all the lore to build theories as to what is actually going to happen.  So JoH was perfect in those regards.

Ever get the feeling some of the old elven gods might be down there also, given one set of them was banished to a abyss... Can't recall how it was worded in da 2 when everyones favorite blood mage was given info, even if that lore is half true...could spell bad things

I have a feeling we will find out the Legion of the Dead was conveniently "neutralized" (resulting in the Inquisition needing to be called as the Wardens are indisposed, as well as Orlais) and their ghoulified selves will be an enemy group, having to do with the main villain of the story arch who corrupted them being revealed later.

Kal Sharok dwarves, calling it now! :D

EDIT: too fancy for darkspawn + the codex about Kal Sharok dwarves appearance and mysteriously surviving blight

Kinda like legacy for dragon age 2? But would be another like cory or the artitech also, or something worse

There seems to be a connection between all the gods (elven, tevinter, and avarr) based on all the lore and hints.  I think there might even be some subtle hints that the Maker, or at least Andraste, is also tied into it.  What that connection is, has only been hinted at, but spirits, gods, and the fade/black city have had a heavy presence lately.  More so than just "yeah spirits exist", but actual "not all is what you think or have guessed".  I am stoked to see what this DLC might reveal.

I have also been getting the feeling the dread wolf was the peace keeper with all those gods, and why he wanted his orb

It's unlikely that any of our companions will contract the Blight, seeing as how it isn't a post-game DLC, but that doesn't mean that nobody will get it. There are 2 dwarves in the first bit of footage, but they're gone toward the end. If that is their fate, I hope they get enough character development early on to make it hurt. That was the big issue I had with the ogre in DA2's intro the first time I played. I didn't care enough about Bethany or Carver to be gutted by their death. But in Leliana's Song, Tug's death had me on the verge of real tears. And Maker, I will never bring Carver on the Deep Roads expedition again unless I am also bringing Anders. I was a wreck.

That is possible.  But the similarities between Corypheus' body hopping, spirit possession in general, Cole, and Mythal/Flemeth's taking of the Old God Soul then seeming similar fate at the hands of Solas also raise some interesting questions.

Then of course JoH came along and meshed the cyclical nature of Avarr gods with what sounded very much like what Solas described with spirits re-manifesting over time.  It's making me wonder how the Maker might tie into all this.. maybe he is gone, not because he turned his back on the world, but because he either has not manifested again or possibly took a physical form.  There is just so much about spirits, the fade, and the gods that has started to bubble up since 2 that it would be one hell of a coincidence if they aren't all interconnected.

I wouldn't even be surprised if lyrium somehow ties into all of this given its ties to magic, and thus the fade, as well as the revelation that it is possibly alive.  I think the fade and spirits play a much more central role than just forces that sometimes intersect with the "mundane" world.  There are several theories I've started toying with, but given how slowly the world is opening up, I wouldn't be surprised if it is some time before we get any definitive answers, if any true "this is the TRUTH!" answers at all.

Wonder about the "blight" and some of the hints about dragons and even others, like Leliana, being capable of resisting it to a degree as well. Gah.. lore overload!
