Hello Hello,

Thanks for the great game! It's a great new chapter for the series, and with the flattery aside, is it possible to edit the camera position?

I was actually rewatching the pre alpha footage of the game back in e3 two year ago now and the venturing actually looks better since, I could see the whole character, the ground and the sky at the same time compare to the current camera position in which the character is on the middle of the screen. When looking up, you miss where you're going and if looked up more, you just pass your PC, when looking down, in which gameplay is majority, you look at the ground, missing the scenery, in which in this game is supposed to be the highlight, and we don't want that, and it adds more cinematic feelling when adventuring.

I'm just hoping you guys will see this.  This is my little feedback and suggestion, looking forward to your next dlc.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but...

...like this ?

It's possible on consoles at least, with resizing the screen to the smallest possible on the display options.

When I was playing on a PS3 I found it to be better for the graphics (less blurred you see) and the added effect is that the camera is pulled back a little..

The other good thing is that some of the cutscenes don't put you so close to the characters while they are speaking (you essentially see more of what's around them).

The only downside is the map, ability menu etc. moving inwards... it doesn't look bad, per se, but menus and the war table look a little off if the gamma setting is too high - it's like dark frames on screens. And you might want to turn off subtitles if you have them on, they sometimes cover peoples eyes cause they are at the top and not the bottom.

I didn't mind, it doesn't affect real gameplay... and now that I tinkered with it with the PS4 version I might actually give it a go again.

EDIT:

Pictures of the menu and war table - depends on which is the bigger nuisance to you I guess.

More like this:

and this:

The center of the screen is right of his shoulder, so that even if you close in, the center screen won't be blocked by your PC's head.  This is a plus when you're exploring because it would mean that you can still see your target person/object when you get close to it and you don't have to cover it with your PC or when you're looking at an object under you, you can still see it and the controlled PC is not covering it, it would be on his right side under the reticle located on the middle of the screen.  This would also mean that you don't have to zoom pretty far to see what you're looking at.

Like look at this, if you're watching a TV you'd be like; "dude, scootch over just a bit to the left or something. You're blocking the screen."  And we don't want that.

I'm sorry I couldn't directly post the images that I want here directly.  If there is a possible way to make my camera looks like the top two image link, that would be really helpful.

That's because you're really far away for the bottom two, that you can see the front but if you zoom it in like the first one, boom right on the middle of the screen. Show me the the lake, not you're beautiful elf butt, I mean, it's a nice view but not for the purpose the game. It would be nice to see the center of the screen with the View, not the view.

Also, for the bottom two, don't you think it feels like it's MMOish? and when viewed farther more, it's like you're a kid, also that distance is really close for it being the tactical view, in which, zooming in to that perfect thing to see what is in front and everything but not blocking the view and not tactical view mode is really thin.

Also when zoomed in, it would feel like you're walking beside the character not looking at the back of the head of the PC.  You're also on the PC so it's easy to zoom in and out with that wheel.

what's your set up by the way?

Yes I am, cause that's what I do when I want to take screenshots from the scenery. And I also always move the cam, when I'm not running around that is. (also the first pic was actually taken to show the "fake trees" to the right)

I have no idea, I never played a MMO. Before DA, I only played Final Fantasy and there I was able just as far away. Those pics were NOT made in tac-cam.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean with set up?
I play on PC, Win8.1, start the game over Origin and don't use any mods.

Okay here three screenshots from a fight.

This is the clostest I can get with the cam.

This is the fartest I can get away with the cam, without ending up in tac-cam.

And this is the distance I usually play in, which is somewhere in the middle.

Okay... have to say I'm an inchy winchy teeny tiny bit jealous over that... The PS4 does zoom out for combat but other than that the camera is practically sticking out of the inquisitors backside on a selfie stick unless you adjust the screen position (which doesn't come without a cost as pointed).

This is what I meant that I want to be fixed!

Yes.

This photos are in combat, so they still look alright because you should be focus on your opponents, on the ground.  What my concern is when exploring, we don't want to see the immediate backside of the main PC when playing, when you play this game you put your camera down more to see over your head to the ground, missing the vista.  I know that from exploring to combat, the camera defaults to zooming out and then when combat is done, it zooms back in.

When in combat sure, make it look like an RTS or chess is fine with me, with the ground as a board but when exploring reels in, I would like to see in front of my inquisitor rather than the pimple on the backside of my inquisitor, or butt crack without angling the camera downward.  So if anyone knows how to adjust the camera position, that would be cool.
