330m isn't bad but even my old 540m didn't get 60fps on lower settings and I'm using integrated graphics now, but I don't get the hate for 30fps, I'm sure 60 is like non stop eyeball secks but 30 is perfectly fine.
Agree, 30 is totally fine.

My two 980 Ti are capable of getting 300+ fps in Mass Effect 3. In case you are wondering that is 10-12 times more powerful than a PS4.

Don't go swinging your damn graphics card dong around in here. Someone will have an eye put out. ![]()

I once, as an experiment, put ME3 on a 6-year old laptop with an ATi 5k series chip. It ran ME3MP at about 24fps and it was perfectly playable. The variation in fps is more significant than the absolute value. A steady 30fps is better than an average 40fps that drops to 20fps regularly. The laptop I'm talking about never dropped below 24fps and occasionally went up to 32fps.
And no, before you all jump on me, I prefer more fps, but it's going overboard to say that the game is unplayable at 30fps because it really isn't.

My capture software says that I have 25 fps and, I swear, I manage to play.

I'm sorry, but your post makes it clear that either you don't understand the whole issue or you're intentionally arguing beside the point. It really isn't about visuals at all. Higher framerate makes the game more responsive, fluid and precise. It allows for better shooting accuracy and raises the skill ceiling. It's not how the game looks, it's how it feels - and when you're used to 60 fps (or higher), playing at 30 fps feels like being drugged (and not in a good way).
Honestly, if the framerate in ME3 was locked to 30 fps, I would have stopped playing a long time ago. I'm not joking. I would've endured that for a while when the game was new, but today I'd rather play without texture mapping than at 30 fps.
It's a shame that while most PC games allow the player to tweak graphical settings to their liking, console players aren't so lucky. There's no sane reason why console game devs/publishers couldn't offer the option to sacrifice visual fidelity for higher framerate.
And no, before you all jump on me, I prefer more fps, but it's going overboard to say that the game is unplayable at 30fps because it really isn't.
Uh... has someone said that? It's not unplayable, it's just less enjoyable - and anyone who denies that either doesn't know what they're talking about (no shame in that) or is simply lying.
Reegar is a FPS.

1v1 me thunderdome, Shuriken Volus with explosive ammo and medigel transmitters, at 20fps ![]()
back in my day we used to go into Platinum pugs armed only with a Shuriken with Explosive ammo

I see a pattern here, Mark. Is there something you want to talk about?
Maybe a childhood trauma about you beeing forced to use a Shuriken with explosive ammo?

that makes me think i should try me at 60 fps asap. Well, no idea how ill do that.

oh, did they release ME3 for PS4 and does it run with only 30fps on it?

lower the resolution to 800x600 or upgrade your graphic card, but this will be impossible if you have a notebook, which i assume because you said you have a GT330M.

More serious response than the previous one: Yes, people do say that, although no one has yet in this particular thread.
My claim to know what I'm talking about is based on playing the game rather a lot on various platforms: WiiU, Xbox, and several PCs. Of the latter, my desktop and laptop both run ME3 at FullHD at 60fps with antialiasing and dynamic shading on, and neither even break a sweat (I don't like getting into the hardware peen discussion myself). As I said, I've also experimentally run it on an older laptop that struggled its way close to a burnout to play the game at about 24 fps. The WiiU runs at a totally consistent 30fps at FullHD, the Xbox runs at 30fps but only upscaled to FullHD, and occasionally drops frames when the action gets intense.
Yes, PC at a steady 60fps is smoother, more responsive, and has the best graphics. The Xbox experience is lower quality and slightly ragged at times, and yet the game is perfectly playable. On PC at 24fps, the game was still playable, and the only issues happened as I gradually cranked up the resolution, because at some stage the frame rate started dropping to about 18fps at times, which was actually mostly unplayable.
TL;DR If the gameplay is good the hardware only needs to be adequate.

You know Dr Frank, you might be right about that. Maybe this is why I find small round Volus to be so intimidating ![]()

You already have when you played on my host.
LOL reegar pls...I hate the range limit on it...there are 5 better shotguns

Not on glacier or on certain kits. Just for an all around gameplay perspective I can think of four off the top of my head which I consider better.

Let's guess: Katana, Scimitar, Eviscerator, and Disciple?
there are more things in life to spend money on other than new hardware
Lies and slander!
I only say that because I'm about to upgrade to a GTX980. That said, ME3MP works perfectly fine on the GTX660, which is my current card, and when I was using my lolintegratedgraphicscard laptop, I could get 30 FPS even with FRAPs running. It's a surprisingly low impact game, probably runs better than almost anything else I have installed at the moment.

lol, my laptop was still at 30, so, no use for my "experience". Most host i play with are at 60 fps.
Glacier hazard cerb plat was quite mad at 60 fps on Agceyx host
