What would be the best heavy armor for a knight enchanter qunari?

Yes you read that question correctly. My aesthetic demands knight enchanters wear heavy armor and I'm stuck between full defensive or some offence via things like crit chance or stagger on hit.

If it's critical chance you want, go for the Superior Prowler Armor Schematic.

The Superior Battlemaster Armor Schematic is best for stacking elemental resistances since you already have high armor.

Have not tried this myself, but using Silverite might allow for Mage heavy armor. Or was this already the plan?

@OP, most heavy armor ends up looking like light armor even after removing the class restriction with Silverite. At least all the ones I tried. The aesthetics aren't all that different.

Difference rating in top end light armor and heavy armor with silverite isn't much. 269 for a Refined Battlemage coat made with Dragon Webbing versus Heavy Armor (take your pick) crafted with Silverite is 280. And you'll be sacrificing Magic and Willpower. As a Qunari KE- you'll already be eminently indestructible. Heavy Armor is unnecessary, IMHO.

In terms of appearance- they all look pretty much the same- as Qunari can't wear Templar Armor or Legion of the Dead.

But the slots for Mage armor may aid a Mage, as Warrior armor slots could be better for that class, I believe. This might be where Silverite could be advantageous. Pls seek confirmation.

On KE, offense is also defense, but defense is just defense.

Crit Chance will be good assuming you are using spells that crit.

edit:  as alluded to above, the issue you are going to run into with Heavy armor is getting metal slots for offense or utility and then whatever defense slots (leather probably).  Metal utility is nearly useless on KE, IMO.  Metal offense can at least buff attack with something like Everite.

Nooooooooo!
Wouldn't the addons be more armory?

Edit: I understand that offence is also defense but I must sacrifice for my aesthetic. After all it's not a real aesthetic unless you shed blood in it's name.

There is one minorish difference. The heavy versions have mail under shirts/arms/leggings as opposed to the rogue and mage versions.
