OK so new DLC is apparently coming out, which looks fantastic. But I have been wondering a while, since before I played Hakkon (Hakoff) whether or not we'll be getting tier 4 versions of the Dragon Items (the Bow/Sword/ Shield) which came with the DE of the game.  What are the odds?  Would anyone actually want/ use the tier 4 versions (or craft them)?

Personally, I don't care for the visuals on any of the Flames of the Inquisition dragon items. Only the maul seems decent to me, but other weapons generally trump its stats.

 

My answer would be no. I don't want them and wouldn't use them.

I personally would want higher tiers of the DE weapons and armours. When I play a casual playthrough I play it to Rp / see the story only and some Inquisitors fit the Dragon gear looks really well, I'm not after the best stats etc but it wouldn't hurt to have a better version then the current.

I'd love a tier 4 set! I especially like the look of the bow, shield, and maul (which I named Molar Mauler).  I don't think the odds are that great, but I'd consider their addition a pleasant surprise.

We have gotten tier 4 versions for a lot of the equipment in game, so why not?

I love those. Staff, dagger, bow, greatsword, sword, shield... Ah, shield. Shield of the Dragon is actually my favourite shield design in game. It would actually make me play s&s again.

THe bow design I think is the sexiest bow design in fiction.  And that is saying something since I have a bit of a bow fetish.

I only think the odds aren't in favor since the dragon items were an extra special, deluxe edition thing.  But I would really like to be proven wrong on that! And I'd like more tier 4 materials to go along with them.

Well on that note we have history to look at.  The ME team released many of the exclusives and DLC items through either item packs or in other DLCs.  Namely speaking the Valk showed up in Omega.  And that was exclusive only to Gamestop preorders.  Different franchises and studious and all, but the precendent....wait no same studio...so there is a precedent for it.

Frankly, I want Tier 4 armors. Faction Armors and "Armor" armors. Why we got Tier 4 Mail armors, but only Tier 3 "Armor" armors, and only Tier 2 Dalish/Carta/Orlesian armors is beyond me.

I got the impression that they wanted the Dragon Hunter armor to become the Inquisitor's "iconic" armor set. That's why they made it so good and why I doubt you'll get something as good or better.

All the Dlc plans (deluxe, Avvar,Qunari) should have tier 4 versions in my opinion, and I hope it happens eventually.
