Sunday, August 9th, the 2015 off season will officially end with the 1st of the pre season games. This will be between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings at the Pro Football Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, as noted in the 2015 off season thread.
http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2015/PRE0

It is time we started thinking about our picks for that game. This exhibition shouldn't pose a problem for the steel curtain. I'm picking:

Pittsburgh Steelers over Minnesota Vikings

Please post your choice before game time, Sunday.

Last year about this time was when I finally decided to improve my very surface understanding NFL Pro Football. I owe a lot of thanks to the more experienced NFL fans here on the BSN as well as my real life friends and other Seahawk fans. I'm sure I'll learn more each season.
Last year, I wasn't real clear on the significance of the preseason games in the overall scheme of things. I've since learned that they are not a huge indicator for regular season success. These exhibition games are used to try out newly acquired players, acclimate rookies to bigger crowds and generally experiment and raise morale. The time 1st string players spend on the field during these games is usually kept to a minimum. For the audience, the tickets are the same price as regular season tickets, but statistically, they have no significance for the teams or players. But it sure will be good to watch football again... :D

There are a lot of NFL fans on the BSN, many of whom are more football savvy than I am, so please feel free to share your wisdom, like so many wonderful folks did last year. Or just boost your team, it's hard to have too much of that.

I remain a humble scribe as needed.

And Go Seahawks!!!

I think he will just play in a quarter there is no reason to leave him out to get hurt.

I got to disagree with you. Here are my predictions

     A.F.C                               N.F.C

1.Steelers                           1. Packers

2.Colts                                2. Cowboys

3.Miami                               3.Seattle

4.Cheifs                              4. NFC south winner(I have no idea I feel like they are a really lackluster division and will probably have the Worst records in the playoffs)

5.Patriots                          5. Cardinals

6.Ravens                             6 Rams

My super bowl predictions are Steelers beating the Cowboys 31 to 28 in a Superbowl rematch

about  8 teams instead of 6, sure.

I'll remove the Rams and Bucs from the NFC and leave the rest

I'll remove the Jets and Titans from the AFC and leave the rest

I want France to win.

It's always the US that wins the Superbowl, it's boring ... you already know how it's going to end.
