Having just played it last night, I'm going to have to chime in with the Luna AI mission. There are no tactics, no strategy, just shoot at stuff till it blows up.

Isn't that pretty much all of ME1? :) Actually, the tactic to use is to retreat back into the first room and draw them all into the tunnel and shoot them while they are bunched up.

This is exactly what I always do when playing on 'insanity'. On every other difficulty I just run in guns-blazing and not give a flying f-ck.

Unskippable ending cut-scenes in ME3. That's about 15 mins and they get boring if you just want to finish a playthrough. Actually i stopped playing through - ME3 has probably the most careers started and terminated prematurely for me.

I might be the only who didn't mind the ground shaking

I don't mind it either :)

Since you guys mentioned the tedious shooting in ME1. It's the same for Saren and the Human Reaper in ME2. Tedious. Boring. Taking the Reaper forces in ME3 over these two anyday :D

How the hell has no one mentioned the Vasir fight yet?

**** that fight. **** everything about that fight. Especially Vasir. I would pick synthesis to do nothing but shoot Vasir over and over until the pulpy mass that is her worthless corpse is not even recognizable as meat, then resurrect her to rinse and repeat. I would pay $20 for a DLC that lets me do that.

**** ALL of that.

Otherwise, stuff after the beam run sucks for gameplay too. You're slow as hell and have an infinite ammo pistol with nothing to shoot except 1 marauder and two husks. The mechanics for choosing the ending are bullshit as always of course. And now you can't even vent your frustration (and your clip) into the holokid's face anymore. And yeah, Rannoch Reaper and Hades Cannon groundshake are also pretty annoying.

1) ME3

2) Peak 15 on Noveria in ME1

2) That ventilator room in Mordin's recruitment mission

What do you find annoying about it? I must admit, I find it a tad bit boring. Unless she charges right into you though she is pretty much a wuss. I find the parking lot fight before that to me much more difficult and potentially annoying when those guys come running right at you at top speed firing their guns and never fricking missing. If you can't get them right as they're coming in it can turn into a real problem as they spread out.

It's mostly just shooting at the terminals that I hate. After the first one I count shots so I can move on as quickly as possible. And when the room starts to ventilate gas there's no noticeable decrease in health. No rush to get out. Just, "here's your warning but still take your time." And then the freaking barriers come up just because. I know the AI was only just becoming self-aware, but I had a more interesting interaction with the credit-stealing AI on the Citadel.

Huh? How are those two boss battles tedious? Both can be defeated in less than 5 minutes even on 'insanity'. Hell I think I've once managed to beat the human reaper in less than 3 minutes (again, on 'insanity').

Unskippable cut scenes at the beginning of ME2. I wanted to see how an import would look and forgot that it took something like 10 minutes to get to character creation. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

In ME2, usually before you start a fight after a cutscene, you're likely to be standing like a dork for a few seconds which give enough time for five or so mercs to shave your shields and health bar before you could cover.... its like I'm the only person in the room.

Oh... default Miranda's boobs and butt shots...... very classy.

I am SO glad that I looked up how to enable speedup in Mass Effect 1. You can go into your BioInput.ini file and map a 10x speedup to the middle mouse button. Makes all that frustrating walking around the Citadel far more tolerable.

There are a lot of moments like this that are kinda dumb. If you're in a conversation and someone is meant to "interrupt" someone else, the first person just stops talking, wait one second while the camera switches, then the next person starts talking. Or whenever a conversation is over and it shows you or the person you're talking to just wait, then very slowly turn to walk away.

I am very happy that they put the character creation and class selection right at the start of ME3. Not that it makes the courtroom scene any more bearable.

"This isn't about strategy and tactics. This is about survival. Each of us must be willing to die to stop the reapers."

Um, Shepard, I agree with the defense committee:

"That's it? That's our plan?"

Well, what else can you say at this moment? They asked Shepard when the attack already begun, with no information about the situation at all.

What's worse is when Shepard asks the committee what's the situation, the guy says "We were hoping you would tell us".  How would Shepard know being locked up for the last 6 months?

Boils down to

"What´s happening?"

"Dunno?"

"What shall we do?"

"Dunno?"

"Why are we talking to each other?"

"Dunno."

"Dunno"

Sounds like political committee. ;) "Not our responsibility, we asked that Spectre for advice and he just said some useless stuff. No we didn´t tell him anything, because of regulations." :)

Yeah I get it, Shepard is pissed off. I know I would be. That's probably why he gives BS answers like "we fight or we die". The Alliance and Council are acting like morons, so Shepard treats them like morons.

Still, with so much at stake, I'm not sure if it's the right moment to hold grudges or act pissed off. At the very least Shepard could try to give some helpful advice, or just flat out honestly say: "Hey, I don't know what to do. I tried to warn you folks 2 years ago and you didn't listen. Now we're totally unprepared and you rely on me for answers that I don't have. I'm sorry, but that's just how it is."

Because all you do is shoot. Maybe throw in a power, then back to more shooting. I found it boring, sorry :) That's just me.

The ME3 Reaper forces just have more variety in them imo.

Isn't that true for the entire series though? :P (the highlighted bit if your post)

And you're comparing apples to oranges.

Also, I disagree. The reaper forces are not that much more varied than the collectors.

You haven't seen fraggleblabla play. She hardly shoots at all in ME3. (Neither do I.)

Link a nig.

The only case where I barely shot a bullet was in ME3 as a vanguard. ME3 vanguard = charge > nova > nova > repeat.

I'm curious to see how you or that person you're talking about plays through ME1 and ME2 without shooting a lot.
