Having just played it last night, I'm going to have to chime in with the Luna AI mission. There are no tactics, no strategy, just shoot at stuff till it blows up.

This! I played on easy and died waaayy to many times! And the AI turned out to be EDI, that b*tch xD

Hammer head missions. Specifically the ones with combat. Fighting the instant damage reduction/regenerating Krogan on ME1 on legendary was annoying. I'd rather face them again then do hammer head missions.

Getting stuck to the floor by Joker's seat in the cockpit of the Normandy in ME3!

Honestly, I'm a bit concerned about what goes on up there when I'm leading away teams.

For me it's in ME1 for the Geth incurision (doing the favor for Tali). I do not mind planet exploration, but they should have done it like the Cerberus sequence that dealt with the Admiral (finding his body) in multiple sites within a plant versus 5 separate planets; for me have it like the Cerberus  quest line but expand to 3 planetary sites. That part when making new characters does put ME1 off to the side for a time before finally deciding to get it done and then go on with the whole trilogy.

*plus, not related to the Geth Incursion, but hate Nodacrux after Feros... hopefully all resources/items need to be found at that point are done as that planet is a pain to navigate to get to that side mission's site.

The Luna AI mission is annoying, those rocket drones can take you out fast if you're not careful. (And if you forget to save you'll restart at the very beginning of the planet again <_<)

They weren't to bad unless you are on insanity difficulty. Then  yea had to replay that part about 8 times before I killed them all.

Hard to rank them.  But...

1. Rannoch Reaper Sequence - it was a cutscene they turned into gameplay, although the gameplay has nothing to do with the gameplay in the rest of the trilogy.  It is like an extended one off minigame (laser) proceeded by a turret sequence with a single invincible enemy.  Rule of Cool gone amok.

2.  Priority: Earth - I'm just going to lump the whole final act of ME3 together.  Has a bunch of irritating things, and isn't particularly fun to me.  Hades Cannon starts with a shuttle portion where it is hard to move and you can get shot before you can do much of anything.  Then there is massive screenshake.  No Man's Land is the same old little Reaper units on an ugly map.  Missile Battery isn't completely terrible, but then you have the Beam and Citadel portion where you can walk extremely slowly.  Compared with Suicide Mission and Illos / Citadel from the first too games, this endgame portion was poor.

3.  MSV Estevanico - This is the only thing from ME2 that really rates for me, and that is partly because of the "float" glitch.  Seems like nearly half the times I play this mission, it would happen and I would have to reload.  And reloading a mission where you just have to walk and there is 0 combat is annoying.

Stuff that didn't quite make it in for me were Firewalker / Overlord Hammerhead stuff because combat is largely optional.  On Artifact Collection, you might be able to do it without killing anything on the island at the second, but definitely you can skip all the enemies at artifact 1 and 5.

Won't put the Mako on here either since I have driven it enough and take relatively efficient paths on the side missions.

Husk rush or one million sniper side missions on ME1 aren't as grievous as the top three.  They at least involve core gameplay.

Likewise, Saren's Assassins starting from Level 1 on Insanity are pretty hard with some classes, and if you beat that you have nearly got past the hardest part of the game since at this point you can't hardly have any decent talents.  Therum Battlemaster is hard if you don't have Battlemaster neutralizing abilities, but this occurs late enough (even at plot world 1) that you can definitely have them.

I can avoid the floating glitch 99% of the time by just looking at the floor for the entire mission. Of course I avoid it these days as I hate the continual stuns every few steps.

When dealing with the reaper, stay in the middle that way you have enough room on the left or right. I recently faced the thing on insanity mode and only ran a couple steps left or right avoiding the beam

I just completed that laser target section on Rannoch on insanity without dying once.  Just go to one side target a little, then once the beam starts to light up, run top to the other side.  Target a bit more, then run back again.  Takes a while, but works every time.

The Krogan Team mission in ME3 is completely mediocre.  The combat is really plain and the non-combat sections where you have to burn eggs and nets is boring and pointless.  The Banshee introduction mission too.  Both of those missions are used entirely to introduce an enemy type and are really dull.

The sections that are normally an okay or good level of challenge but become huge walls on Insanity: Krogan Battlemaster in ME1 is ridiculous, as many people have mentioned.  Lunar robots killing you instantly and watching Shepard fall over in slow motion while a hundred rockets continue to fly past.  The last fight + Praetorian on Horizon in ME2.

Does Thane's loyalty mission count?  Once you've done it once, there's nothing else.  And it shows you all the nice little sections of the Wards you'll never get to visit.
