Lash if for playing the range game (why lash works on the adept). You don't want to be playing the range game with smashguard. Ever. Always close ground, and always charge>bonus power smash or just smash. This is the style that finally made me see why so many folks prefer the smashguard over the adept.

 

Lash also doesn't have bonus power evolution, so always better to charge over lash. (Sure lash has very fast cooldown, but also has very long animation)

Although I go 6 ranks in fitness for the melee boosts.  Instant CC.

I used to do that for the 'Dept too but not anymore.  He's more mid-ranged.

Why would you link this prehistoric video? The smash nerf doesn't even make him the same character.

Yeah I just meant most of the time.  Melee characters definitely need the fitness, and maybe a few other select kits.  Most classes I'd just rather have all the powers and rely on my skills to stay alive.

SmashGuard -> I skip lash, I tried to use such combo and thought it be efficient, BC -> heavy melee -> smash -> BC..., but seems I cannot play him very well..

I was called a cheater once because I would constantly do the smash / heavy melee cancel    ..I was told I hacked my xbox in order to give him 6 whips at once...     what??????????????????

FWIW...

If I'm charging into CC/CQC action, I usually won't whip out a Smash until the end...to finish off a Ravager or Phantom or something of that nature.

Else it's a flurry of BC --> HM --> LM/Shots --> BC --> LC/Shots --> HM/BC -------> SMASH

 

But I will Smash my brains out wall-hacking at a choke point.  In those cases it's usually BC that serves as the finishing move (detonating the BE primed by Smash)
