Well, you can guarantee that he'll probably stick with the Inquisition if you save the Chargers.

Yeah, I had dialogue where Iron Bull implies the romance his relationship with the Inquisitor is a 'job' to him in the final romance scene. It differs to the one where he is no longer serving the Qun and the conservation is more cheerful. He also states (if still with the Qun) that you helped him understand who he really was.

I never get tired of saying this: If you're going to romance Bull, SAVE THE CHARGERS. If you don't, you'll regret it for the reasons mentioned by Champion Aldreic.

You can still romance him if you side with the Qun but the implications are that the relationship is pretty much doomed because if you basically tell him to lose his individuality and dedicate himself to the qun fully it means that your relationship with him can stop the instant its in the way of the qun. He also really seemed numb and just not as happy when I made him side with the qun in an unromanced playthrough. It just feels wrong, at least if you care for the character. Iron Bull was never fully happy with the qun, that much is clear from the first conversations with him.

That's precisely why I had my female Qunari romance a Iron Bull following the Qun
. I'm intrigued to see what fireworks kick off from his conflict of interests. It creates a potentially great personal dynamic that Bioware is almost certainly forced to deal with, especially if rumour is true and the Qunari under Sten happen to invade Thedas.

There is no dynamic. He treats the romance as more of a job than an actual romance. You might as well romance a robot

I can't agree or disagree since my comment is speculating about something that may or may not happen.

Nice. That will fit perfectly for my dwarf IQ's playthough. She's a chilly character, and impervious to heartbreak.

I think that depends on the kind of romance people want. People who want the perfect prince charming of all things+and fluffy happily ever after, go with Cullen
(no lyrium). Same kind of idea for no-Qun IB. ![]()
My dwarf IQ went for IB romance, but she's pretty self-interested and looks out for number one in the end. A Qun IB romance is fitting for her. ![]()
I also decided to make another character romance Blackwall specifically for a bad ending romance with him: Dumping him, and making him a lap dog essentially.

Honestly, the fact that the romance is almost entirely identical either way is the most unsettling part. Bull is more frank about how he feels about the Chargers dying in party banter than he is in the romance scenes. It's like everything he does with you is just an act, not even for the purposes of no-strings-attached pleasure, but just for "the job." There are no fireworks, no confrontation, because there is no honesty in the relationship to begin with.
