I am very certian this will be a drungon crawl and not open world like JOH. So I'm sure it will have more story, anyone we really are going to find out "soon" and I mean real soon.
So will the Desent DLC actualy have story?

I'll wait until there are reviews by community (not online journalists)
Distrustful are we?

I'll wait...
...because I don't get paid till next week. It's more of a lack of funds than anything else...I am looking to purchase unless someone comes along with a compelling reason to NOT purchase though. JoH wasn't bad, actually. Except the friggin' spiders. THAT I could have done without...

I have plans of upgrading to a PlayStation 4, and Inquisition will be one of the 4 games I plan to get for it at the moment. Like Jaws I'll want for info on loot before buying, because I do love Jaws' loot.

One of the better experience's i had recently in gaming was playing Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen, if this Descent DLC is anything like that BioWare be onto a winner, very very fond memories of Bitterblack Isle, obviously it not to everyone's tastes but hey im no screaming for return to Baldurs Gate days so im easy.
Either way as i said im easy so if it another JOH type dlc i still buy it, it wont be the most over joyed purchase but it keep me going for a few hours anyhow

Yes. Dont get me wrong I loved previous games but Inquisition didnt make much of impression on me. Witcher 3 did huge impression, like previous games. But if reviews about the DLC are positive, I'll buy it immediately ![]()

i agree i'm gonna wait. I will probably get it eventually, but it's not a 'story' that I particularly give a crap about. If you can even call these dlcs stories.

Hmm yes, I'll be waiting too. It's always best to see what other players say about the DLC and make a decision from there. I'm not one for dungeon crawling and mob mashing without a very good plot behind it I buy Bioware for the story and characters more so than the combat, which other games tend to do better IMO.

Personally i think that it will be a GoA lc. Not much story but only an extra extended mission
Only four trophies on the PS4...same amount for achievements I guess? Disheartening. Previous DLCs on the other games had far more content. Lets hope I'm jumping the gun. Still, a larger area SHOULD mean something...not just empty space and twenty bear butts, right?

20 bear butts, 37 deep mushrooms to collect because you found a note that told you to, 6 tents pitched, and 14 new rifts to close.

Why would the Mass Effect team write a DLC for DA:I ?
There's Bioware Edmonton x2, Bioware Montreal and Bioware Austin as far as I'm aware. Edmonton has a team that made Dragon Age Origins-2-Inquisition, as well as Mass Effect 1-2-3 while Montreal has just become self-dependant enough to create an entire game (ME:A) and Bioware Austin was behind SWTOR, the cancelled (and indeed awful-looking) 4v1 online RPG and now this DLC for DA:I.
Given that Austin was always (seemingl) makers of MMO stuff and really multiplayer-oriented gameplay I'm suddenly not as interested in The Descent, particularly not since the two main writers for Descent are Austin-exclusive *cough* female fangirl *cough* writers whom I have no faith in.
But we'll see, of course.

I don't see what their gender has to do with the quality of their writing.

A woman's hormones make it obligatory to insert romantic squee into everything they write, whether it belongs there or not. Clearly Linkenski is simply aware that we're running a high risk of getting a lovesick genlock companion whom reminds the Inquisitor, over and over again, that love is all that matters in the end. After you beat The Descent, the fade mark no longer emits green light but floaty pink hearts, and every square inch of the Inquisitor's quarters will be covered with posters of the Inquisitor's LI in various stages of undress.

Ah yes, women are evil, keep them away from gaming companies... or they might just mensturate all over eveything. I mean, we love blood, but not lady parts blood. Yuch. Anyway all they care about is love. I mean, ignore Mary Kirby, the writer of Loghain, Vivienne, Sten, Varric etc. as we know, these are all love obsessed characters who spend all their time in game tripping romantically over everything that moves. Awful having lead female writers. Just horrible. Hope we get to burn them as witches like we could in the good ol' days.

What a controversial post I made, shame there's no "dislike" system in here, huh :3
I probably have too many prejudices about it, but just reflecting on what I saw in the past I don't like Sylvia's writing for neither Liara nor Josephine and I think she writes like a fangirl. (and one instance = all instances) I saw one picture of those two female writers for this one and they really struck me as a bunch of fangirls.
Okay, I admit it, I'm actually afraid that women will overtake not only gaming, but the world some day.
PS. I just wanna say, I fully see how silly it is now that you point it out. So shame on me, I guess.

I'm judging the book by its contents, and whilst I enjoyed JoH, this is stronger.
