So the other morning I reported on how I found a Reaver busy soloing Nightmare.  I luckily managed to become friends with the dude and somehow found him with his buddies in a public lobby.  These guys were all beasts and I felt fortunate to run with them.  I just finished a 5 hour marathon in which we slew around 6 Dragons and completed a host of Threatening/Perilous matches.

 

I have heard people mention how the Dragon is downable immediately, but never seen it.  Here is a vid for those who may be interested...

 

 

 

3 Archers can down a Dragon by virtue of the instant cooldowns they share between one another via Payback Strike (edit to "Leaping Shot") spamming.

They must each be at least 100-150-150

 

For all my efforts I can afford to smile as at last I have a second Hakkon weapon

No actually it's still standing at the final round of Nightmare, so considering beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it can't really be that bad now can it?  Meteor Shower has no place in Nightmare, so I went with the abilities I felt might be useful.  The Elementalist is all about his passives and I ran with every one.  I doubt I should have wasted points on zipping forward with ice at my feet and look like an idiot

Porky you may ridicule me if you wish, but my willpower is 20, I couldn't cause DPS in Nightmare if I had a nuke.  Before you scoff, bear in mind that you are being presumptuous and only end up ridiculing your own self.

You had three good Archers to carry you. And Firestorm is very useful on NM, especially on Zone 3 against RTs and Venatori. It's also CC and not DPS.

Using archers to kill a dragon quickly is like using an AW to solo perilous.

 

Also....I am impressed with OPs abilities in trolling.  A little prep can really make the difference.  I hope to see you go far.

even if you had 150 willpower you wouldn't be providing dps support with the elementalist. the whole reason people even use firestorm in the first place is so that you can at the very least provide support to your team via knockdown crowd control. same thing with firewall, crowd control via panic. your energy barrage is literally tickling enemies on nightmare, for gods sake help your team out a little with something other than barrier.

I shielded like crazy, used a crit ring, spammed my spells and got the job done.  What kind of a workman laments the tools that just finished the job in a manner as apt as any other??  -  A fool, that's who....

 

 

 

I froze the shield guys, set fire to the assassins, stayed alive, wasn't a burden and I got a Hakkon weapon.  You claim to want to teach me what exactly.  Seriously after only 2 weeks here I can tell who the half-witted morose nobodies are on this forum.  Nothing better to do than descend like rabid vultures and cackle at anyone and anything that doesn't conform to their own self-centric world view.
