I occasionally check these forums, and each Friday I have yet to see anyone really make a fuss/mention of these being absent. So am I just somehow missing these announcements, or did I miss the announcement that they would stop supporting this feature?

Because from what I can tell, there hasn't been a new weekly update in at least a few weeks (if not more). Or at least not that I've seen anyways (not counting the random routes, or actual patches).

So am I just oblivious? Or haven't they actually been happening?

By the way, this is in no way meant to berate/slight Luke. I would just like to know if I should keep checking back every Friday or not :)

Thanks for reading/hopeful enlightenment.

As near as I can tell, there's a lot of content that they can tweak and change on the server side, and most of these are so minor (like creating the uber-nugs last week) that they can be pushed live without having to go through Sony or Microsoft's rather laborious certification process (which has to happen whenever major content is issued.)

No your not missing anything as there have not been any balances changes in a long time. While there are probably several reasons and I can't speak for Luke I would say that the biggest reason for this is due to the team working on DLC and updates that have happened or will be happening. Also, Luke has been looking into making some potential changes to skills trees/skills/skill mechanics, etc. So to me it makes sense that no balance changes would take place until the new content comes out and potentially any changes he may be working on to the aforementioned skills/trees/mechanics.

For now I'd say checking every week is not needed if doing so seems like a waste to you. Not sure when the next multiplayer DLC will come out, but I doubt any real skill changes will happen until it does. (Just guessing of course)

These are the type of changes as to which I was referencing. Such as nerfing/buffing skills, enemies, etc. Also I do think there's definite limitations as to what he's able to change, but I wouldn't consider the majority minor personally.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be stringent on that he called them weekly balance changes, or you consider these http://forum.bioware...hanges-to-date/ not worth considering? Bit confused.

Those seem like potentially decent reasons as to why there haven't been any balance changes in while. Glad to know I didn't miss something, and that indeed there just haven't been any recently.

It's not too much of a hassle for me to check every week, and honestly unless confirmed by Luke himself saying that it's stopping, I'll be checking still. OCD and all that lol. Thanks though.

I think bioware has given up on the idea of weekly balancing update only after like 2 weeks of trying, approximately 2 months ago.

Yah, maybe the Uni interns responsible for DAMP are on holiday. Honestly some of the stuff in DAI really makes you wonder whether it was done by an intern. Cough, Spoils of Qunari DLC, cough.
