I'm writing a little blurb about Elowyn at Cassia's wedding, just to give a view from the peanut gallery.

Cassia's Wedding

Elowyn danced with Publius at Cassia’s wedding. Strangely enough, they’d become friends since his engagement to Miriel. Perhaps becoming part of the family made him feel less threatened by Caius’ favoritism toward Elowyn. It was a welcome change – Elowyn actually found herself enjoying his company, since they were both interested in Tevinter history and esoteric matters.

 

“So,” Publius murmured, “you and the Master – what’s going on there? The slaves have been talking.”

 

“Nothing, Publius. Whenever a woman and a man work together, people will talk. I’m surprised there aren’t rumors going around about you and me!”

 

Publius laughed and pretended to be taken aback, “Oh, no! The broodmother strikes again! Who will be her next victim?”

 

Elowyn laughed and playfully swatted at him, though his comment was a little too close to home. It seemed impossible to her to stop the rumors. Even young women who became Chantry sisters in Orlais generated gossip. An attractive woman gathered rumors like flies, and an unattractive woman languished in obscurity. Sometimes that state seemed preferable to Elowyn.

 

“I hope Batzas and Cassia will be happy,” Elowyn said, changing the subject.

 

“I don’t envy him. Cassia is every inch the Magister’s daughter.”

 

“There was a time when I thought you wanted to marry Cassia, Publius!”

 

“Maker forbid! I got the best of the bunch. Miriel may be a soporata, but she’s sweet, intelligent, practical and beautiful.”

 

“And not crazy, like her sisters!” Elowyn laughed.

 

“That, too! Zera has really lost a wagon wheel. I can’t believe she’d sacrifice everything for that… that Rivaini abomination. I have half a mind to alert the Templars.”

 

“Please don’t!” Elowyn begged. “Monkai means well. People can’t help falling in love, even if they’re expected to marry the person their parents choose for them. Even Caius had to marry Mucia, and we all know how that turned out.”

 

“The Master is sure to disinherit Zera if she disobeys him and refuses to marry Tiberius. Perhaps he’ll pick a new heir for his seat, since Cassia inherits her maternal grandfather’s.”

 

“And you hope he’ll pass the seat to you as Miriel’s husband? Is that possible if you’re not from an Altus family?”

 

“But I’ll have married into an Altus family! Even though Miriel isn’t a mage, our children could still be talented.”

 

“To an outsider like I am, it’s a bit confusing how members of the same family can be different classes,” said Elowyn.

 

“Well, you don’t have to worry about that, being an elf,” said Publius with his usual sensitivity.

 

“Ah, I was starting to miss the old you, Publius. Glad to see he’s still alive and kicking,” rejoined Elowyn.

 

“What? Elves can’t be magisters. Don’t get any ideas in that regard!”

 

‘I surely won’t, with you here to remind me!” Elowyn laughed.

monkai waited in Aurelia's study dragging his fingers across the books in her library each one were originals, kept pristine condition.

"You may read them at your leisure I am quite fond of the tales from the bush.. a sultry novel but the writer is phenomenal in her words" Aurelia said entering the study. She sat down in the chair across from him gesturing him to sit.

"You said you had business with me" monkai said careful not to let any inflection of emotion show in his voice.

Aurelia chuckled at his direct manner, impressed by his lack of fear despite having fought before. "Yes it's regards to your proposal. You seek to become my arcane advisor for a considerable stipend, why would jepordize my begrudging alliance with house vallinous and taken in a known exile from said house who has the potential to start a fued... besides darkon is already my advisor " she said crossing her legs over the other.

Monkai sat in the chair across from her. She made fine point he thought as he adjusted his posture. "The key word being begrudging. Caius has taken not only your apprentice that given her gifts was not cheap to aquire her,but your son as well. I know people like you and him, you vie for power beyond your grasp thinking you can control everything and crush those who would stand against you. "

"Cassia loves my son... I see the glint in her eye " Aurelia said growing irrate by monkai's assertion.

But I digress from my point, in return for my services you retain possibly the best medium in the city and one of considerable birth, I know you search for the tomb of nardeth.. I'll give it to you ,even lead a expedition to it, all credit will be yours and I a mere mention. " monkai said clenching his fists "a man can have anything if he will sacrifice. " caius words echoed in his mind.

Aurelia pondered at his offer she had been searching for proof of nardeth for her own reasons and the offer was intriguing at the worst. "How do you know of it."

"I am a descendant, that's all I'll say for now." Monkai said taunting her with what she desired, feeling scorn press her claws into his mind telling him what to say how to say, desire is what exist for beloved soon we will take back what is mine scorn echoed.

Aureila took papers from the drawer handing them to him "cross me on this matter boy and I'll end you regardless how much my son sees you as a friend. "

"Stop fussing over me and entertain a young girl. Your in your twentieth year i expect grandchildren some point" the woman picking up her book from the nightstand.

Hotus took a apple from the basket ,carving the skin off as he gave it to the woman who doted on him. Her name was justfina Hotus, she was a oddly somewhat within the city having never married and acquired a considerable fortune from writing dirty literature. She took him in since he was a infant,raised him as her own despite the obvious difference in their race he a elf she human.

"Mother hush I intend to give a bountiful litter " hotus teased wiping his hands

"Don't hush me young man what of that girl... um the one with the unkempt hair " justfina said prying into her son's life. Hotus looked at his pinky remembering how he had lost the tip, he could still feel the ice from her lips from months ago.

"Ah miss Louis yes she's a bit odd " hotus said rubbing his mutilated finger.

" I want to meet her." Justfina said patting his hand scolding him for not bringing a girl for her to meet

Coldi listened to monkai and zera engage in what they called "study time " and were more explicit with saying they want privacy. She went in galatea's room freezing the lock until it shattered, she found her room riddled with expensive nude statues of men and women wondering when did she buy them and how did she fit them all in her room with space to spare. "Young miss it's not wise to snoop in others rooms" hotus said appearing behind her. Coldi jumped back knocked over a statue shattering it.

"**** shit **** no no no no no! " coldi said putting back the pieces trying to repair. "She going to be back in a week from antiva she's going to kill me!" Coldi thought to herself.

"This is a narvis frentis piece yes... come along I have a friend that deals in pieces like this." Hotus said

"Its a one of a kind!" Coldi said panicking. Hotus chuckled at her dismay "take heart milday all things will fix themselves. " he said waving his hand reassembling the statue

Coldi looked in amazement at his magic "oh aren't you full of magical tricks" she said teasing him by making her voice sultry and more experienced than her age would imply. Hotus merely shook his head at her advance "Milady please and tell the master and lady dinner will be ready soon... and bring your manner milady "

Act 188: consolidation

Hotus rang the dinner bell calling the housemates to the table. They gazed upon his expert crafted dishes each made to their specific palletes.

"For you lady zera I've crafted a roasted bronto mixed with deep mushroom gravy" he said to zera putting her plate down "for you miss Louis ... just I don't know what this is but based on your description it fereldan based on the colour.. Lamb I believe " hotus said sliding her plate to her. He noticed monkai was not at the table,he wanted to be friends but realized he had at some point crossed him and began to wonder why.

"This great hoats what's your secret" coldi asked after savagely eating her mystery meat.

"A few spices and roots my mother taught me" he said only enough to enlighten but not be questioned. "Where is lord ragin I made his meal already"

Zera wiped her mouth " he's in the cellar. All you need to know but you are welcome to join us " she said keeping her tone warm but stern she didn't trust him due to his allegiance with her father but she prided herself on the manners he instilled upon her and began to see the relationship between her mother and father and her untimely passing.

Galatea winced as monkai poked her skin with his needle making sure the ink saturated her skin. He rubbed oil on her back to make the blood stop. "There ya happy your part of the family " monkai said tossing the needle in acid.

"I figured since I live here and did that favor.. it's owed... sides I still hunger for round two my fury" Galatea said pressing her breasts against him, kissing him tenderly. "Think about it if you lose zera but you gain me and I know more than her"

Monkai got up from his chair he looked at Galatea " woman you play a dangerous game..." he said shaking his head but smiling at the offer.

"Well if we are going to have fun what's my next assignment.. I'll just add it to my fee... I wonder if little zera likes leather and odd objects" Galatea said annoyed by her friend's indifference, she saw how he was losing parts of himself due to the situation, becoming cold and aloof always planning for something but it didn't mean he could be ass

" see a woman named sufin we will need her as bait to draw out our next target. No killing, in and out discreetly. " monkai said leaning against the wall. "We have little time. So leave first thing in the morning... after family breakfast "

Galatea waved him off tossing her shirt at him. "Work work work fury it will make you a dull lover" she teased walking to the kitchen.

Monkai heard hotus shout at Galatea telling her to put her clothes back on. "Maker I hate him I hate hate hate hate just hate him" monkai said stifling his laughter

Galatea scaled the balcony of her target's home. She saw a guard moderatly garbed in armor, she made a sharp whistle calling the guard to her. Hiding in the shadows she grabbed his neck cutting his throat careful not to let the blood fall on her hands.

A young woman slapped her attendant throwing a tantrum having not getting the doll she wanted. "I wanted the blue one not green "she said throwing the doll at him

"Forgive me lady sufin it was a honest mistake... I'll head to the market and get you a new one.." the attendant said cowering in fear of his mistress.

"No no no I will have you skinned and made into coats for the other slaves for this travesty " sufin said beating the man with a whip.

"Nothing I hate more than a slaver with ill manners and being ungrateful...and being a slaver that throws tantrums over a cheap knock-off of a Ghislan du vont doll ,is just a added insult to my morals..." Galatea said jumping into the room from the window.

"Who in blazes are you! Guards I demand assistance " sufin said shouting for her guards but found none came to her aide.

" deran sufin, current heir to the sufin shipping, known to traffic slaves from fereldan and and the anderfels. Impetuous, entitled and a degenerate... miss sufin you've been on my list for months now... but my cousin would love to speak with you.. but please don't come quietly.. I despise slavers that treat people like commodies. " Galatea said drawing her daggers from her belt.

Sufin ran from Galatea twisting her ankle as her intruder threw a chain that wrapped around it ,Galatea heard a loud snap as she fell crying thinking her ankle was broken . "Who sent you the vallinous', the grapha's who I demand you sow!" Sufin shouted.

Galatea's eye twicthed when she heard the insult. " you called me a what?"

" a sow,it's a pig like your masters " sufin repeated, Galatea grabbed the whip from the floor and put sufin over her knee

"THIS IS FOR BEING UNGRATEFUL, THIS IS FOR MISTREATING YOUR SLAVES AND SERVANTS ,THIS IS FOR RUINING MY DAY OFF, THIS IS FOR BUYING KNOCK OFFS, THIS IS FOR HAVING BAD MANNERS ,AND THIS IS FOR CALLING. ME. A. SOW " Galatea shouted as she began to spank sufin for her transgressions on her rear. Sufins cries were heard throughout the manor, Galatea heard the servants, slaves, and guards that remained cheer as their mistress got her dues.

Galatea walked with a bound and gagged sufin to the entrance of the manor the guards letting her pass. Galatea wondered if she had just asked she could have saved time.

"See how your guards are unloyal... it comes from being a ingrate " Galatea said opening the door. Sufin muffled obscenities at her with Galatea holding the whip to her face reminding her to watch her mouth and manors
