Act 97 : a brother's payment

Coldi awoke in her bed feeling like nevarran corpse her body was stiff and sore. "Am I dead.." she wondered aloud.

"No but you will wish you were " monkai said tapping his staff on the floor. It had skull that looked like it was smiling it honestly mortified her,she'd never seen his real staff before he always kept hidden from her.

"Crap" coldi said closing her eyes. "What in fade were you doing at a mage fight! They are illegal! " monkai shouted,she could feel her wounds reopen.

"Technically mage fights are only illegal if property is damaged and somebody important dies.."

"Don't get smart what were you doing there "

Coldi tried to remember but could only receive foggy glimpses. "I was drinking with dramis and elara.... then I remember entering the ring and fighting the twins... the rest is a blurr"

"Twins?" Monkai asked "susa and gend?

"Yeah.. know any others that hold a grudge"

Monkai rubbed his chin hair wondering if he would have to deal with them. "See zera about your punishment for breaking curfew and this incident. "

Coldi dreaded seeing zera her master was mostly bark even when threatened at forced to fight.. but zera was the disciplinarian of their family "crap"

Monkai walked the slave market watching the slaves be sold from one to another. He understood how the economy functioned off the slave trade and even understood the chance to avoid poverty in return for one's freedom. It sounded like a fair trade, but it made his stomach churn watching it happen. He was approached by two large qunari women. They were very robust even for their race and their steel skin and horns gave them a alluring mystic, monkai always had appreciated the qunari's women.

"You with us" one said pointing to a office building.

"My my such forceful demands"

"Glibbness does you no credit" another qunari said

The office was elegant and well maintained despite it's outside appearance, monkai was led to the main room.

"Ah Mister fury... I knew you'd find me" Galatea said tossing her feet onto her desk.

"Cut the Bullshit I know who you really are. Galatea,former slave now slaver, propriater of the underground mage arena, dwarven provings appropriated for mundane versus mage fights to draw coin." Monkai said. easy beloved.. she's dangerous Scorn said growing interested

Galatea cocked her eyebrows in pride. "Ohh found all that in one night... my c*nt is moist now... but your not the only one who is well informed. Ragin Monkai heir to Clovis Ragin of house Ragin former son in law to caius vallinious but was exiled taking his daughter into his house.... currently bonded " Galatea said letting the last word linger...

Monkai bared his teeth at her "pashara are we done? We have each other by the throat ."

Galetea moaned at his assertiveness "lovely that you speak qunlat but I actually have you by the balls... does caius know that you married his daughter again, does he know of the relic you failed to regain... I know more if you wish to play some more..." she said licking her lips seductivly.

"So if we are down playing who's dick is bigger I expect my payment. " Galatea said dropping her flirtatious tone. "I need a slave procured from a magister within three days and you must give him passage to Qarinius "

"I'm no slaver..." monkai said clenching his fist.

"Easy my fury it's simply a smash and grab... I'll be sending my associates to assist if anything goes wrong... " Galatea gave him a envelope " directions, instructions, and descriptions... do this right and I'll keep my lips sealed... well the top lips anyway " Galatea said chuckling and allowing him to leave.

Monkai walked back to his house furious by how much that slaver knew. He owned no slaves not even servants , coldi was a exile and hadn't talked to her family since being exiled... so how did she know so much and knew had to cover his tracks better...

should he be? he keeps a low profile and few know his condition canonically since I cleaned up the continuity Before I started the story

Caius, his daughters, elywon, coldi, darkon, Aurelia, alessandra, and now Galatea very small list

Sides most just assume "he's just powerful enough to bluff his power" explaining when outsiders see him glow.

I don't know if you took the comment as criticism or as just a comment on the story

Criticism is my bread and butter the more I get the better I know my audience (long as it's well worded and constructive ) I was just explaining the reason "he's not concerned about the chantry "

I take my work quite seriously making sure my story doesn't stomp on lore completly (take liberty yes of course due to interpretation ). I make sure every scene is plausible in universe . I pride myself on originality not using characters in game or in books(not even references), to give myself creative freedom. I mean if I can't enjoy my own work on it's own how can I add it to my dragon age world state to add to the world. Dragon age is isn't about who's the protagonist but the world itself.

So in closing; Lore is important to me and I love being able to adapt it to my story and see other interpretations.

Act 98 :fulfilment

monkai arrived at the location written in the envelope waiting for Galatea's associates in the dead of night . He knew the target. Elf woman late teens, blonde hair, no killing of guards he said reviewing the letter.

"It will be a easy job " he said cracking his neck. He heard footsteps behind him, channeled his mana to his fingers expecting a nosey guard

"Spells down Ragin " the woman said followed by a robust man

"You must be the support... " monkai said realizing it was the twins "Didn't think mercs like you cared about liberation "

"We moonlight... we know how the magisters treat the enslaved " susa taking her brother hand into her own. "Lets move I have a house to repair "

Monkai and Gend scaled the wall running to the bushes the courtyard to the slave wing of the house was lit with lamposts giving them a clear view of the door.

"No guards... this smells off " monkai said looking to Gend for a second opinion. Gend grunted and shrugged waiting for susa to give the signal "don't talk much do you..." monkai sarcastically said.

A loud explosion erupted from the other side the manor monkai could hear the guards sounding the alarm. "That must be the signal" monkai thought leaving the bushes and heading to the door with gend in toe

Monkai and gend pushed through the slaves screaming as they walked the slave quarters ,they were masked and dressed in black leather. They came upon their target. She screamed as gend grabbed her throwing her over his back. Guards who were inspecting the merchandise drew their swords.

"Halt that's property of- " the guard said before gend swatted him into his companion knocking them down. Gend chuckled as they escaped

They met up with susa at a warehouse at the harbour . "Kaffas did you have to be so rough" the woman said.

"Had to make it look real " susa said sharpening her arrow

"Are we done? Monkai said behind his mask

"yeah We'll take your boat in the morning we can handle the rest just see tea later." Susa said shooing him away .monkai left his companions wondering what did he get into

Act 99: even

Monkai awaited for Galatea to arrive in her office. He waited the entire night, he wanted their business concluded as soon as possible , he was dealing with a slaver who had seemingly asked him steal from another noble... but susa's words of "making it look real" perplexed him.

Galatea walked to her office topless showing off her robust physique and buckling her pants, covered in sweat followed by a qunari man and woman . She reeked of sex it permeated the air as she sat down monkai could hear the squishy sounds from her womanhood still savoring her lovers seed beloved your staring Scorn echoed she could sense her man's lust it was oddly comforting to her.

"If your curious about my c*nt you just need to ask.. my fury " Galatea said opening and closing her legs alluringly letting him listen to her sticky moisture . She knew she was desired among men and women,using them until they were spent and sending them off with a smile.

Monkai shook his head coming back to his senses " your slave due in qarinious in two days.. our accord is complete. " monkai said. Something felt off about his words like he was underwater.

Act 100: Game

Coldi cleaned the chandelier in the house ,she had gotten off easy with zera no allowance for three months, no going outside, and no smut. Coldi was glad that zera would be at her fathers for the week so not to receive more punishment.

"Finally done" she exclaimed swinging down. She started toward her room but was stopped by the main door swinging open causing the chandelier to fall

"Bloody mad woman " monkai shouted he felt dirty at how Galatea looked at him he wasn't against sleeping around since zera was open minded on sex and monogamy due to scorns infulence but she was unnerving to him.

Coldi looked at the chandelier heartbroken due to her hard work being tarnished..." I just cleaned that.."

"Sorry kid... just sweep up and do your studies... I need a nap." Monkai said walking to his room

Monkai laid in his bed trying to sleep but was too furious from the meeting. "Maker that woman is something else " he said looking the empty space on the bed for zera, she would be gone a week but she was always around the house felt off without her.

still stewing over that girl beloved Scorn whispered

"How are you not furious if that was elywon trying to **** us you'd tear her throat out" monkai said his anger at her hiposocrasy barely noticeable

elywon is a child that does not know herself and seeks to steal you from me.. so naturally she is a threat... said her tone drenched in venom. I have your heart and soul but Galatea seems like a fun temporary ally.. her desire for you can turn her into a weapon against those who would do us harm .. imagine it a army of slaves at your call... let her play for now... and take her when she least expects it.

"Your enjoying this" monkai said listening to her words. A army of slaves sounded juvenile and nagged at moral compass

He heard the door open in the main hall but not close.. "stupid kid" he said getting up to investigate

Act 101: A new perspective

coldi had retraced her steps the arena, her memory was foggy and her head hurt the harder she tried. But she was successful in finding it.

It was void of inhabitants a stark contrast to the other night, it was being prepared for tonight's meeting dwarves set up the drums and roasted legs of animals to feed the audience that was to arrive. She saw the masked woman who escorted her home giving orders to the herald she recognized her voice

"Hey miss Galatea! " coldi shouted waving at her. Galatea saw coldi wondering how fate left her a nice present, she pointed to a door telling her to go and wait.

Galatea sat at her desk liting a candle blowing out her match. "So the little princess wants to play gladiator again" she said leaning back in her chair

"My conscious was telling me to say thank you for not leaving me to the twins... we don't have the best relationship " coldi said scratching the shaved part of her head. "So thanks"

Galatea chuckled at the young woman she found her youthful indifferent facade to be humorous. "My my you have your brother's indifference ... but not his fury." Galatea said

Coldi felt joy that she was compared to her master. "Well he's often angry at cleaning up my messes"

"And that's alright with you? You play the fool well but you seek his approval. " Galatea said. They wick from the candle cracked in the silence. Coldi felt like she was being examined by lecherous healer

"You don't know me?" Coldi said defensivly realizing she shouldn't have come alone. Galatea folded her hands and stared at coldi eying her youthful body noticing every design choice in attire and where her tattoo was."I know you better than you think princess. You were heiress to the zakum family but exiled due to expulsion from the circle taken by the ragin house to avoid real work. Your selfish, arrogant, and lewd... yet you beg for approval from your guardians hoping they don't throw you out like your family did." Galatea said

"Pfft so what you know my basic history " coldi said turning to leave galatea had struck a nerve and she didn't want to listen.

"Your also insecure about your looks showing off skin and wearing scantily clothes to draw attention but rebuke those are interested. You claim your experience with sex but your actually a virgin who wouldn't know what to do with a man... or a woman. " Galatea continued only stopping after coldi threw a dagger of ice at her.

"**** you! Bi*ch you don't know me so get mounted!" Coldi shouted not controlling her anger . Galatea smiled at her display seeing her conquests fury in her "tell your brother to see me... I'm wet and hungry "

Coldi could see why monkai was furious this woman was a know it all and liar. She wasn't a virgin and i dress cause its in fashion she thought as she left giving her the finger.

"Run little princess tell your master.. of your maidenhood " Galatea whispered

Act 102 : unease

coldie and monkai sat the the dinner table normally they dominated the conversation but their respective days had stressful.

"So where's you run off to" monkai said toying with his chicken.

" I thought you didn't eat meat..." coldi said deflecting the question.

"I eat meat.. but prefer not to but poultry and fish aren't meat... the question stands" monkai said eating his food.

Coldi looked down at her food picking around the green parts of her meal... "am I a charity case.." she asked

Monkai put down his fork folding his hands he looked at coldi seeing her uncharacteristic melancholy. "What brought this on"

She sighed pushing back her plate "I saw Galatea... to say thanks and all... but she said I was basically a charity case"

"Well yes but your still a member of my house..." monkai said his honesty hurt but coldi knew he meant she was a member of his house. "Did Galatea tell you anything you came home a bit mad " coldi asked in turn.

"Just that she wants to mount me"

"Oh about that she said she was hungry and wet.."

Monkai groaned at the message, it was unnerving to be desired like so. Like a piece of meat to be eaten. "Dealing with her will be most problematic..."

"Agreed" coldi said

The two ate their diner quietly pondering respectively who they were dealing with she knew their secrets and what made them tick...

Act 103: Fallout

Galatea paced around her captive man. He was bound and gagged, rope pressing against him as he hung from the air tightening as he struggled to move.

"You've done done our group a great disservice.. telling the magister of us... cost me money.. and men." Galatea said her voice soft but seething with anger. The man muffled words as she dragged her whip against his back flinching as she did.

"What is your defence..." Galatea said raising her whip and striking him. The man swung trying to cope with the pain muffling words.

Galatea removed his gag griping his face. " they threatened my family I didn't know that they we're going to-" the said before she struck him with her whip...

"Didn't know! You got my people killed! We could have protected your family!" Galatea roared her qunari guards could feel I her anger at his betrayal..

"Deal. With. Him " she said looking at her guards leaving them to deal with him. "Make it hurt...if he dies... revive him and do it again... betrayal of our cause is punishable by death"
