Please make ME:A 1st person, like Call of Duty!

FPS would make things more visceral, but I think ME3 has already hit the sweet spot.
Plus I still have feverish nighmares of the whole Deus ex HR FPS/TPS disaster.

I hated the way DE:HR did it. It felt awkward and constraining. It's actually a part of the reason I've yet to finish it. I don't want any of this hybrid crap. It should just go with one or the other, but I don't see the point in changing the gameplay design like this. Nuts to FPS entirely, toggles and all, I say.

And to reply, I hate first person perspective because having hands floating in front of my eyes all the time is annoying.
Pretty much this.
I like to see what's going on.

I can't play FPS since I get motion sickness from it. That's why I won't and can't play any FPS game regardless of how good it is. Maybe it will eventually change with virtual reality, but for now, I'm against it.

If you want a first person perspective get yourself a sniper rifle and zoom.

And Bethesda's third person control really sucked, too. My vote is for Bioware to leave their third person perspective alone. It's just fine as it is.
I played Skyrim about 50% in third person. I learned to aim ok as an archer, but first person was indeed easier. I like looking at my characters, though. Taking screenshots of them and all that silly stuff.
I did enjoy discovering new areas in first person though. Kind of like a virtual hiking experience. So I could imagine a first person toggle being fun for ME:A exploration. But combat I HATE in first person. I suck at it, too. It's claustrophobic to me having such a limited field of vision. I want to see as much of the surroundings as possible, especially when exploring pretty places.
Deus Ex was a nightmare for me. Would have enjoyed the gameplay a lot more if it had been third person...
What I'm saying is that as long as my character isn't really doing anything besides walking, I do occasionally enjoy imagining it was me. But when I play games I don't actually pretend I'm in that story. That is just silly. I would die on a battlefield within a minute. There is no way I can pretend this super-awesome extremely capable warrior is me. And I don't make them look like me, either. In fact, I want them to look as different from me as possible. I enjoy games as interactive stories about other people, not as a fantasy extension of myself. I get really really fond of the characters I create. They are their own person. My femShep was like one of my friends, not a sci-fi version of me, though we did share character traits.

But I can't shoot blue alien women with it. ![]()

No, just no. I would most definitely hate it if ME:A was turned into something like that. BW should keep the game playing perspective as it has always been.

1st person sucks. No peripheral vision. When we start playing these games in VR I'll support that POV.

No. The game is already too much FPS style for my liking. And I'm still hoping for a less bang bang gameplay.

I wouldn't mind the option, IF it's well done as, say, the latest Thief game. Not 1st person-only though.

Sure. I'll even save you a parking spot.
Hell will be a smooth transition, then. I already know I'll have to keep the same car I'm driving now.

have it [...]so you can switch back and forth
This,
I don't mind the option to go 1st person. I have zero interest in seeing it go a mandatory 1st person. If a toggle isn't an option, it needs to stay 3rd person.
that, and
I think a hybridized view, similar to the aforementioned Human Revolution and in the popular Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 would be the better approach rather than a full-on First Person Mode, should a first person toggle option be featured.[...]
that!
A toggle -option would definitely be interesting.

A toggle -option would definitely be interesting.
The problem is, just 'slapping' a new camera option on is a horrid idea. The game would have to be made with both in mind in order for it too look proper, which would impact both perspectives. Hence the described Hybridized camera over a pure toggle.
