I would like a New Game +, preferably with an increase to the level cap, and level scaling in all areas to increase the challenge. I used it all the time in the ME trilogy (Especially ME3, so I could get the VI-X weapon upgrades) and Dark Arisen.
New Game +.....seriously.

Next DLC may raise the cap again; unconfirmed.
I don't believe JoH raised the cap, but I could be wrong.
Hey, I didn't say I was against it. I said that I didn't understand it. I don't understand why people watch The Big Bang Theory, but I don't have a position on people watching that either.
And yeah, I equate the person's mind with his character, not his face. You don't?
I have no personal interest here as long as Bio's not diverting a ton of resources to this. Since DAI doesn't have robust scaling -- unlike, say, NWN -- NG+ would inevitably result in curbstomping the enemies without a massive restructuring of encounters. I'd be against that unless it's a paid DLC that doesn't interfere with other useful paid DLCs. But if a curbstomp is what you guys want, or just a way to copy the face codes, I've got no dog in this fight.
I do, but my main point was that I'd like to reuse a face in some way, and newgame+ is one way to do that. I know you said you don't understand why someone would replay a character in an RPG, but I'll give you my 2 cents I guess. For the same reason I would reread a book, or rewatch a movie. If I enjoyed a story, I'll want to experience it again. You could also replay multiple characters if you enjoyed multiple versions, or replayed "the same character" with a couple of minor differences, say, templar quest instead of mage quest, or a different class.
I also think a lot of the arguing here comes from different people having different ideas of what their newgame+ would look like. I don't want it to carry over level and abilities in this case, but would like it to carry over schematics, collectibles, and faces. That's all. I don't know, but I wouldn't imagine my version would use a significant amount of resources to implement, but I could be wrong.

I doubt that even if they wanted to add NG+ it will be for free
It will be paid just like an increase in level cap would be and anything related to it

I honestly don't understand the point of having a huge world and don't have enemies level scale with you.
If you complete one area, pretty much two or more others become weak areas with no challenge.
With TW3 it worked because in every area there are a lot of monsters much stronger than you.
That's the best way to do it. I don't want every single enemy in the game to scale with me. Sometimes I just want to be able to go into a place and be able to annihilate things. I also want to be able to walk into a place and have something do the same to me if I am not high enough level. The only enemies I am okay with scaling to my level, are ones that are involved with main quests, or the most important side quests.

At least I would like an answer as per why this feature gets vetoed besides that is actually a CONCRETE explanation from BW as opposed to a generic handwave.
Perhaps they simply take it for granite, as mineral too motivated by combat, and simply ignore all in quarries about it....

Given that ng+ wasn't a popular feature in the West I don't think dai should get flak for not having it. I play jrpgs often enough to appreciate ng+ so I wanted to throw my support behind the suggestion. An optional ability to have very collectibles, schematics and little shards with each play through. Optional. Something someone can toggle on or off. It'd help myself, and others that choose that option.
If not this game then I suggest it for the next one. it'd really help me out and a few others that enjoy the prospect of repeated play throughs without missing a thing!
Really???
Ok...TW3, Mass Effect 1 2 3, Baldur's gate 1 and 2, Baldur's gate Dark alliance 1&2, Dead Space 1 2 3, Darksiders 1 (kinda) and 2, Crysis 1 2 3, Dying Light, Dead Island (sort of), DMC (western developed one....just so I am not quoting a Jappo game), partial in Shadow Complex, Deus EX HR (added because players wanted it and asked for it), Deus EX MD, Thi3f (half arsed but present), Akham knight and City (idiotic implementation but present), Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo (like Thi3f), Diablo 1 2 3...
And those are just the ones I played.....HOW exactly is it not popular in the west given even Bioware used it aplenty in BG (actually that feature was even better than NG+ as it could be initiated at any time) ....which DAI is the spiritual successor of???

Does NG+ carry over experience points (i.e you start out as level 5 instead of 1) because if so you're going to be horribly overlevelled as there is no level scaling

yes...only issue is parts of DAI already scale. So just let the rest of the game scale...or not....just up the difficulty one notch for NG+.Does NG+ carry over experience points (i.e you start out as level 5 instead of 1) because if so you're going to be horribly overlevelled as there is no level scaling

No other Dragon Age game has had NG + so why would Inquisition? They are following the same pattern as always. Level 24 if you do everything and extend into level 30 with DLC and a possible expansion,
"They're following the same pattern as always" really? Then where's my tactics list? Or why can I only use 8 skills? The other 2 games had tactic list, and I could use more than 8 skills. So please, they're not following a pattern. NG+ isn't there because of the same reason so many other things from the old games are not present. They just didn't want to do it, period. NG+ would be welcomed, I hate losing all my progress after I trotted through Nightmare and the only thing I want to do after is experience the story with all my same gear without worrying about leveling it up again. It's a horrid process.
1. Find the specific schematic. If it's a good one you're looking for, you'll either have to kill a dragon for it or find it in a higher level area which you'll have to wait to unlock.
2. Find an abundance amount of the specific type of materials you'll need to recreate the awesome armors you had on your nightmare run. So you'll either have to do one or two things. Farm for gold to buy the materials or scout through the lifeless areas for hours looking for them.
I do not want to do that again. So NG+ yes please.

Also. I'd love, as I said, to hear the reasoning behind the lack it...because so far most devs who TRIED to argue it...failed.
Also....NG+ is coming to dishonored as well....after it has been asked for ad nauseam.

More power to your post then? I am not against NG+. I'm just saying I don't see it as a default option for RPG's. Given how grindy this one is in comparison to others, I freaking hope though that they at least add it in for DA4 if they plan to go with the same MMO elements.
