You can try repair, however, I've had it fail to repair obviously damaged files because what ever checks it makes doesn't catch everything.
So I feel like I'm doing knight enchanter wrong because it sucks?

No way I'll be able to be a support character (which sucks as it's the sole reason I made a KE) and I'm kind of at a loss.
Sure you can. Specializations are optional -- you can absolutely beat the game without taking a spec, or by using it just for the passives. Just take the key support stuff in Barrier and Winter and you're good.
Your skill bar could be something like Barrier, Dispel, Barrage, Winter Grasp, Chain Lightning, Fade Cloak, (free slot), Resurgence or Mark.
Suppose you've got 12 skill points when you unlock knight-enchanter. You can respec into
Barrier, Peaceful, Dispel, Rejuvenating
Spirit Blade, Clarity, Fade Shield
Winter Grasp, Stillness, Upgrade Winter Grasp
Chain Lightning, Upgrade Chain Lightning
Your next few points can be stuff like mana surge, fade cloak or step, guardian spirit->mind blast->strength of spirit, or Lightning Bolt -> Gathering Storm.

So I fixed it around a bit. SB is still being weird but I didn't have time for a full uninstall. I'll give a full reinstall a go tonight though.
Fade step+ down to Ice Wall
All base spirit abilities + passives
Flashfire down to Clean Burn
SB Combat Clerity Fade Shield Resurgance and Knight Protector.
My bar is Fade Step Ice Wall Flashfire Barrier Spirit Blade Mind Blast Revive and resurgance. (I slapped Dispell on Dorian)
That look ok? Gonna upgrade Ice Wall and Mind blast and maybe barrier. Not sure if the only CD reduction is from a barrier generated by me casting it. Otherwise I guess focused Teamwork.
Edit: Maybe Flashfire's upgrade instead of MB or Focused Teamwork.

You're not using a controller by chance? Or Keyboard and mouse?
I found that for KE (well most of DAI really), I was able to control my angle-of-attack and facing much more accurately with mouse and keyboard. But yea, as some people have said, Fade Step/Frost Step is a MUST-HAVE for KE's, synergized with Fade Shield/Fade Cloak. I've actually been able to 'steer' my charges along curves and turns to hit adjacent enemies with mouse/keyboard as I'm Frost Stepping in.
It also might be as others have suggested and you might be throwing up too many visual FX on screen for your video card to handle. I actually find that of all the graphical settings, even with a kick-ass PC, FX is the one setting that is best to have at low-medium, because the additional 'juice' isn't worth the squeeze, it just clutters up the screen and makes things harder to see.
As someone that loves Crowd Control, I recommend using Frost Step to freeze one or two of your first-line opponents as you charge in, then immediately throw down Searing Glyph (Improved Fire Mine) centered on yourself. The enemies that will beeline for you will reach you just as the mine sets active and they will be launched into the air while burning to death (it's enormously satisfying!) without ever getting the opportunity to move or recover before they incinerate into ashes. If there's elites/bosses in the front line, make sure you Fade Cloak before the Frost Step so that you're inside them as you charge. Usually all I have to do is hold down my key for 2-3 Spirit Blade swings after laying down the mine, and everything is dead-dead-dead.
The thing for KE's is that you oughtn't throw out range/aoe spells BEFORE charging in, cause you want to conserve mana for spirit blade attacks afterwards. You're really at your best using AOE CC/damage spells that automatically or can be centered on you, like Mind Blast, cause the nature of the KE is very aggressive 'in your face', even if playing a support role. But bang-for-buck, the best spell that does both CC and Damage is Fire Mine/Searing Glyph, it's just ...effective as heck, you gotta see it to believe it.

but...fire mine doesn't feel like CC >.>
Edit: Yeah I've said it before on here that it might be having 2 mages that's the major problem. AI is fine surprisingly enough but it's AI so it's inherently bad.

I know, I know!
Like you, I was originally REALLY resistant to the idea of even getting into Inferno School at first. But wow... when I was advised to just give Searing Glyph a try, I was really sold. It's nice cause you can really see the way it controls the immediate area, through the initial 'boom' that launches everyone up into the air, them burning as they fall, down through them landing and trying to stand back up. Most foes I hit with that, almost always 'ash' right after they stand up. It's a great way of seeing how one spell not only denies them any actions, it's killing them as they are helpless.
I usually have Solas or Dorian backing me up, and Solas is a BEAST as Rift Mage with me setting things up, he throws out Pull of the Abyss and between the two of us, honestly most fights are over before Iron Bull even has a chance to swing more than once or twice. So I don't think having two mages is a detriment. It might be noteworthy to check what Behaviors and Tactics you have set up though.
PM me if you want, or we can continue to talk shop here in this thread, might be helpful for others too.

I meant 2 mages as in it's a lot of visual effects. My laptop is below all of the standards to that probably is it. What's odd is that I don't remember vivien having this problem when it was a human archer cass viv and solas. Turning off fire wall actually helped a lot. Fire wall static cage and elemental barrage along with my spells is a lot at once I'm sure.
I'm just...used to horror and stuff. I really like playing a support character like the creation tree or the entropy tree. Not having that really makes the game almost boring for me. I like rouges the most because they usually can't be a hard support type anyway >.>''''

Oh yipes! Yea, that's a lot of ongoing FX.
Well it seems like you are getting a rough idea of the culprits behind the delays. Burst spells would be better off than things like Wall of Fire, Blizzard and the like. Definitely lower your FX settings to lowest, and try some of the other suggestions out, let us know how things go!
And let me know if you try Searing Glyph out and if you end up liking it! :-)

The ice effects seems to be easier than fire effects if your curious. I turned off wall of fire and grabbed wall of frost and it doesn't hurt it almost at all. I'll slap it infront of some ranged guys and force them to move ![]()
I might try out fire mine but it just...feels wrong to be a support spell. A support doesn't usually kill everything >.>'''
If a healer's top dps then something is very wrong.

I used to use a lot of Wall of Ice and Ice Mine, but it felt like I had to spam it a lot more, cause the DPS was slower and the enemies would recover from freezing or adjust around, meaning I'd have to throw it out once or twice more. I eventually ditched them. I guess I just prefer dual-use control spells that also whittle down or setup Detonations so enemies are gone that much faster while they are controlled. Different preferences I suppose! :-)

I use three Mages, so will recommend setting Graphics Quality to Low; helps FPS, gives a more natural look to the spells and FX, and lowers the shine and reduces smoke density.
