Well, first thing first, i need to make clear a couple of things before starting to say what i say...
The first thing i feel i have to say is that i was one of Bioware's hugest fans. I played EVERY SINGLE GAME developed by that publisher more times than it would be wise to admit, and i enjoyed every second of it.
The second thing i need to mention is that i played all the games like 8-9 times, or even more, and i have read the comics and the books (just like i did for dragon age, but here i will talk about mass effect, even though what i will write here i could write for that game, too), so i am not a nwebie to the lore, but, without modesty, i could define myself a ''quite expert''. Last thing i think i should mention, is that i always thought what i am going to say, even though i am writing this only now, after i played the trilogy for the 37268th time, because i can't bear this anymore.
Ok, that was the introduction, now i can start saying what i wanted to say.

MASS EFFECT 1

Basically, a masterpiece. Probably it is because it's pre- EA.
Nonetheless, it HAS its flaws, but they all regard gameplay. And since it is a roleplaying game and not a FPS, they are absolutely irrelevant. WWhat a RPG must have is a good story, not a flawless gameplay. If you want challenge, go play call of duty.
Also, the DLCs were exactly what they should be: OPTIONAL, irrelevant to the plot. I think there is no more to say, perhaps i will edit the post later if something else comes to my mind.

MASS EFFECT 2

This game is basically stupid and nonsense from the beginning to the end. There will be much to say about this, so let's start from the lore. Let's talk about OMEGA first.
Omega is some sort of future ''Tortuga'', an equivalent of ''Nar Shaddaa'' from Star Wars. And since it is so, it should be a notorious, (in)famous place. Then why in Mass Effect 1 it isn't even mentioned in the whole game, and apparently, it magically appeared in ME2? Same thing i could say about the Omega 4 portal. All galactic civilzations are based on those portals, and so an unexplored portal should be very very very famous. But no, not even a mention in Me1. This is just plain bull****. Also, the collectors magically appeared out of nowhere, too. Everyone knew they existed, even though they didn't see them, but shepard didn't. Maybe the character was a retard?
Then the thermal clips. I can't even start to understand how moving from a technology that allows an almost infinite amount of ammo to a technology that has limited ammo is a progress. Not even a single decent explanation about this was given. Stupid indeed.
Then, Cerberus. In Mass Effect 1 (2 years EARLIER) it was not even the half of what it is in ME2. All this happened in TWO YEARS. This is plain stupid too, and again, not a single explanation of this was given. Also, the fact that the so called ''canon shepard'' is a SURVIVOR is not even ever considered in the game. In ME1 you discover that cerberus exterminated all your soldiers and almost kiled you, and when you meet cerberus boss you don't even mention it ONCE? Are you goddamn kidding me?
Also, renegade and paragon points are just so random i could laugh. A perfect example of this is the legion's loyalty quest: when you enter the area you gain paragon points because you say that rewriting geth is unethical, but if you choose to destroy them you get renegade points. Apparently, whoever wrote that part of the game is a retard, i cannot find any other explanations.
Let's talk about the plot now. The game starts with the normandy being destroyed. Apart of the nonsense of making shepard die (which makes no absolute sense, if not for the -crappy- endings of ME3), that cinematic was kind of idiot. There is a ship that can ONLY fire straight forward, so, whoever is nnot a retard, would have just moved laterally. But no, that ace pilot of Joker firstly avoided the shot, then moved onto it without a single reason. Retard alarm sounded all the way. Then meh, what happened next is acceptable, i guess.
Until you meet Miranda. She kills a guy in front of you, and apparently the character didn't like it, since he/she aims miranda with the gun. But when she gives stupid reasons for having killed him, the reply from shepard is ''if you say so''. I guess whoever wrote this dialogue also wrote the dialogue with Hackett at the end of the Arrival dlc: shepard killed 350'000 people and all Admiral Jackass has to say is ''at least you tried''. This is all kind of retard. And i really mean ALL kind.
Freedom Progress is ok, i suppose. Then you meet joker, get the ship, and whatever. Ok.

Now, something worthy to be said is that the Normandy is supposed to be the one most advanced ships in the galaxy, and it is constantly said, since ME1, that it is basically undetectable. This is rather funny, because when you approach someone you ALWAYS get identified. Like, as i was saying, on Omega. Then you go to the citadel, mett the councillor, and whatever. Do some quest, get some items from the shop, and back to the normandy. Back to the recruiting spree, which is basically 85% of the game plot.
I mean, what the hell? The whole game is no more than a gigantic side quest. Are you kidding me? Do you even call this A GAME? Jesus christ, guys.
Then, the collector's ship. Which basically appeared out of nowhere, because you apparently have no clue on what to do, so they throw it in with a reason that made very little sense. Like ''damn, ok, i will recruit people, but how to get to the enemy base then? i have no clue...MAYBE the clue will appear some time soon, though, or the game will not progress''. And i think: ok, well, this is not the best thought story event but ok, if it happens once it is acceptable. Except it will happen again, later, with the dead reaper. I mean, a dead reaper. And NOONE found it before? And NOONE explains how it died, when, who killed it? People found it RIGHT IN THE MOMENT you needed it? Are you f***** kidding me, bioware? Is this the best story you can think of?
Then the human reaper. Which made ABSOLUTELY no sense on so many levels, i cannot even decide where to start. In the ME3 ending the catalyst says that AT THE END OF EACH CYCLE a new reaper is born. Then why the heck was it being developed even before the cycle started? Also, when you meet it, EDI says that every reaper has the looks of the race used to build it. Then why the hell in ME3 EVERY. SINGLE. REAPER. looks like the sovereign? NO SENSE!
Also, i like the concept of ''choices'' they have at bioware: you choose Anderson as councillor? Perfect: you get Udina in the end. You chose to destroy the human reaper? Perfect: you will find it in good health in cerberus base.
Then the dlcs. The important ones, i mean......Zaheed and Kasumi ones were exactly what dlcs should be: optional, not necessary for the main plot. Except for the fact that bioware used Kasumi dlc to make the Felicia Day dlc in Dragon Age 2 which was 90% the same as Kasumi's. You guys are very ridiculous, i hope you realize it.
Anyway. Shadow Broker dlc. It is NEVER explaind who, when and/or how cerberus got the intel you bring to Liara. Also, another race noone ever spoke of before jumps out of nnowhere (Yahg). Also, the council told shepard to stay in the terminus, then shepard kills a spectre, and NOONE has NOTHING to say about it. Well written bioware, congrats, very well written.
Also, it is never explained how Cerberus knew where the shadow broker ship was: i mean, i hope shepard was not idiot enough to go and tell illusive man that liara was the new shadow broker and where to find her.... Also, here the bull**** begins, because they made so that a dlc became a part of the main plot of ME3. Pathetic way to raise money, pathetic indeed. Same goes for the ARRIVAL dlc, which, as i stated before,  has retarded dialogues. Also there is no goddamn reason why shepard would have to go alone.

Now i should write something about ME3, which is a lot better than ME2, but it still sin't a good game, but i have no time at the moment, i will probably add something later.

As a conclusion, though, EA bought one of the best (probably THE BEST) publisher of RPGs and corrupted it to the core, destroying everything that made that publisher so renowned, to morph it into a fan-servicing politically correct abomination. A perfecct example of this is Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is basically an Offline MMO. I fear Mass effect Andromeda will end to be exactly like that, definitevely breaking another good saga. About Mass Effect saga, i bought it twice, for the xbox and for pc, with all collector's editions. But aafter playing DA: I , i seriously doubt i will buy other Bioware games. It is no wonder EA was worst US company for 2 years, and that all bioware foudners resigned.

If you look hard enough you can find holes in anything.

There's already a thread about Things That Don't Make Sense. Post your rants there.

So just because it is an RPG, Mass Effect 1 can have as crappy gameplay as it wants? Sorry, but I call BS on that. Mass Effect 1 is still a video game, so gameplay indeed is still really important.

I know it's just your opinion, but that is a silly reason to ignore problems
