Pretty much self explanatory, and please excuse me if this has been discussed before.

I think it would be a pretty cool addition. The kid could easily have been either male or female, given that you don't see their face and children that (presumably) young have very similar voices. Although the ark (if we're going with that theory) would most likely have left the Milky Way before the end of ME3, there's always a chance that they somehow picked up some knowledge of the fate of galaxy before arriving in Andromeda, so the story still could have been passed through the generations. Additionally, it would only take a couple of lines of dialogue and maybe a short flashback to implement this as canon, which isn't a lot of work but, to me anyway, would add a pretty cool twist to the protagonist.

The only question I have though is the timeline of things. The final scene implied X amount of years in the future. So how long are we in the future now?

The moment Bioware said that we will be human only, I immediately thought this. The child grew up on hearing stories of The Shepard, was young enough that the voice could belong to a boy or a girl, and they wanted to explore space when they grew up which our protagonist is doing.

- Very humanoid shape, limiting it to Asari, Human, Drell, or Batarian. I doubt an Andromeda origin race has stories of The Shepard told to them when they have a different galactic culture and species-specific culture of their own. Who cares about 'some human' when they have their own stories?

- Batarians drastically low in overall population in ME3 and voice modification is not used on either voice to give them the 'Batarian flare' vocal effect.

- No Noticeable head frills, which give the Drell race a more horizontally ovular shape. No voice modification for the 'Drell' characteristic sound effect.

- Silohette's have no color, but the presence of a male parent implies either a Human-Asari pairing or  a Human-Human pairing. . .or there are Asari that sound like Buzz Aldrin.

- Andromeda's protagonist is confirmed human, not Asari.

If the Stargazer child is our protagonist, then the Stargazer child is human. It also would say that Refuse is in no way canon, as the refuse ending Stargazer features Not-Buzz of an Alien species talking to their alien child, also not human.

Also I don't care either way, I'd rather The Shepard not be an important part of the story.

No. The kid in the stargazer scene is the one wearing the N7 armor. He's the head of The Church of The Shepard. Shepardism is the main religion in the cluster.

The Extended Cut really makes that entire Stargazer scene entirely stupid since they retconned out the technological dark age and made everything go back to normal 15 minutes after the Crucible fired.

I would absolutely love this. I made a similar suggestion some years ago and while some other ideas of mine are less fitting at this time, i still would really like to see the Stargazer scene among the very first moments of ME:A.

Besides being the perfect way to introduce new players to ME story and a great way to provide the main motivation to the protagonist to get involved(being inspired by stories of the Reaper War and Shepard), i remember this sequence as immensely soothing after the catastrophic ending to ME3(my reasons are slightly different than of the most vocal majority, i won't explain it now, though) and as a few of the good things about the game in general.

Uh, well, I could see that happening. Maybe BW was trying to tie it in with the Stargazer scene?

 

There's a scene in that teaser trailer where the ...Not!PC..?..finally stands up on the rise of that desert area. In the sky box you can see these double planet/double moon things in the sky. It reminded me of the same skybox in the SG scene. I just chalked it up to them reusing assets.

 

Ofc, the environment looked different, but that could just be because the two scenes are in different regions of the same planet.

 

Only problem is that would necessitate them actually being that detailed and long term purposeful. Even the potential tie in bit with SG scene and the Not!PC..?..would say that they're planning that far ahead.

 

From what Ive seen, however, it seems more that BW kinda lives in the moment just trying to keep their head above water.

 

So, yeah. I could see it happening, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

The kid would probably grow up and realize it was just bedtime stories afterall.

 

Unless the kid gets weird, and grows up...cosplaying that they're an N7 soldier..just like "The Shepard". And is possibly stalking the PC to find out if they know, and have let "The Shepard" into their lives as their personal saviour..?

Well, technically old man doesn't need to know fate of the galaxy, he can just think up some weird crap like ultimate unification of Man and Machine or Shepard becoming Reaper God and so on, to impress kid with his tales.
