I have played DAI now about 20 times and I can't figure out how to get this piece of Stormheart in the underwater cavern in Crestwood.  You can find it right before you fight the huge Rage Demon (image one). Its clearly in a room/cavern but its blocked off so why put it in there?

 

I have also been able to use the map and its the same cavern/room (but in the opposite side(image 2)) that you can look into when you come across all the nugs right before you exit the cavern. I think the nugs and boats may be a hint otherwise why have them there at all, especially considering a companion will always point then out?

 

Thanks! I looked all over online and can't find anything about it.

There's no way to get to that node (it's not the only area where resource nodes are placed out of bounds).

I've been in there with a fly cam, theres no way in or out of there. The resource node was likely put there by a random process that populated the resources in the zones.

Wasted a lot of time trying to get up in there, but never succeeded. That said, I haven't tried the Sera Flask of Lightning glitch. That's pretty good at getting through any obstacle as long as there is a legal area close enough on the other side to land. Works best on locked doors. If the whole area on the other side is instant-death-OOB, then no dice.

Hah! I did it. Doesn't need Flask of Lightning. It just needs a simple Jump-then-Tactical glitch. The trick is to go to the level above, glitch through the stones, then fall to the level below.

This is what it looks like if you have done the glitch correctly. This is the OOB area on the level above. Walk in the direction of the Stoneheart and you will fall off through the floor.


Unfortunately, once in that area, you are kind of trapped. If you grab the Stoneheart fast enough, your party members might not have teleported to you yet, and you can switch to them to get out. But if your whole party is in that area, I wasn't able to find a way out.

On the second attempt to confirm, the Stormheart was not there! I had to have a party member die by falling through the floor before it would appear. Weird.

Or you can just collect every node in the Arbor Wilds. I think ı got 200+ Stormheart just from that mission alone.

Yeah, but on your first PT, you don't know that. I busted my a$$ farming Stormheart in Crestwood and Emerald Graves, and THEN I did What Pride Had Wrought. Doh, (face palm)!

You know by the time you get to the Arbour Wilds you really don't need it any more.  I know when ever I go there I get like 200+ myself but never need or use it. Even if you do JoH afterwards the material there is just as good if not better. Now if I had 200+ Stormheart around level 8-10 now that would be something.

BE is level limited. You have to be a certain XP level to get Tier 3 mats in the store. According to the wiki, you have to be at least level 16 to unlock Tier 3 mats.
