- The Titans that Kieran mentioned if you are a dwarf are real and have the ability to shape the Stone around them.
- The Titans may be the first Children of the Stone, similar to the Titans of Greek Mythology.
- Lyrium is the "blood" of the Titans which explains why it's alive.
- The Breach reawakened the Titan on the Storm Coast.

New Questions

- The Titan lay dormant until the Breach opened, are they all asleep?
- "The Stone lies beneath Orlais" might be a reference to another Titan.
- No records of the Titans exist in Orzamar, why wouldn't the Shaperate leave out this information?
- If Red Lyrium has the Blight, then how does it relate to the Titans?
- Did the Titans create the dwarves?

well the one question I want to know is how to access the DLC as it's not showing up on the war table or anywhere else right now?

I first saw it in my journal, then I went to the war table and it was there on the war table Ferelden side, waking sea. It's great so far, David Hayter voices the Legion of the Dead Dwarf who goes with you, and he sounds just like Solid Snake, it's great sleuthing through the deep roads with the 'legendary soldier'.

I think I can imagine an answer for that one.

First whatever connexion the dwarves had with the Titans they lost it.

Second , it seems the dwarves living in the Titans may worship it , the Shaper Lady saw some kind of tower that could be a place of worship.And they live in some kind of symbiosis .

They drink the Titans blood , it makes them stronger and almost immortal.

They also use the Lyrium to get sealed in their armor.

 

Basically the dwarves are selling the Blood of their ancient godlike figures to pretty much anyone with enough coins.

And they have no choice without the gold , Orzammar would just die out.

 

Also well the "Profane" , they feasted upong their gods ,they ate the lyrium.

All of this would look pretty bad in Orzammar memories.

Also if lyrium is titan blood does that mean it's a finite resource? Is dwarven success/existence based off of the fact that they're basically whoring out their (possible) progenitors/creators via selling/using lyrium and etc?

The last question is yes.
I doubt Lyrium is finite, if its like human blood, its a infinite resource.

So was the Primeval Thaig a Titan who got the Blight and its Guardian was aweakened?

I don't know, the DLC let me more doubts about the Rock Wraiths, so, does the term pure is basically a suggestion that the pure are dwarves with blue lyrium infused armors and the profanes were once dwarves with red lyrium infused armors? Or the Rock Wraiths are corrupted versions of the guardian? and What is the Guardian itself? some kind or super lymphocyte or a young Titan that like in the Dragons case is serving to protect the biggest one?

Anyway, I share the disappointment for the final boss, it was barely harder than Corypheus and it's far away from Gurd Harofsen and Hakkon, not to mention the Ancient Rock Wraith.

Oghren mentions how the Temple has pure lyrium in it, and Valta now has the power/magic of pure Lyrium granted by the Titan. Could Valta have used this power to bring Renn back (if that is indeed how Leliana came back)?

I think the Rock Wraith was a Guardian infected by the Blight.
I think the Guardian is some construct made by the Titans to protect it from invaders (powered White Blood Cells and the dwarves normal White Blood Cells).

Nothing said about any of those, only the King is mentioned.

She was not killed, the Lyrium made her have a stronger connection to the Stone and gain some kind of magical power (like those Earthshatter).
Maybe we will see Dwarves Geomancers in DA4.

Leliana's revival is pretty much a major retcon either for being an overrated character or because Bioware was too lazy to find another spymaster, she tried to explain how did she was brought back to life and her explanation made less sense than any other revived character, I really doubt the lyrium has such ability, if that would be the case, the whole bunch of Reavers slain by the HOF would've revived too.

At most what Valta earned is the shocking ability of: Enchantment!

Given WoT2's information about Sandal and how Bodhan found him, it's possible that he's somehow related to the Titan dwarves.

Also, "Now we hunt the Pillars of the Earth" codex entry from the Well of Sorrows makes me wonder if the Elves were trying to track down Titans corrupted by the Blight?

If the Ancient Dwarves were one with the Stone then whatever brought the Blight to Thedas (Anduril's journeys into the Void, the Forgotten Ones) and created Red Lyrium might have created the first Darkspawn.

If that's the case, the Ancient Elves might have sealed off the corrupted Titans. When the Magisters breached the Black City they must have awoken a Corrupted Titan and unleashed the Darkspawn.

So Red Lyrium seems to suggest that somewhere, a Titan is corrupted. I wonder if perhaps 'the void' is actually a term for the space within a Titan.

 

Flemeth's daughter, Yavana mentions that Great Dragons are the life blood of the world. This DLC suggests Titans. The Old Gods are still buried beneath the earth, and being sought out by the corrupted darkspawn.

 

I do not think either statement is incorrect, I just wonder how it all fits together.

 

An additional thought. Because it seems likely that a Titan is corrupted, thus creating Red Lyrium, then Lyrium itself is not the cause of the blight as some theories have speculated. It just seems to be a very powerful transmitter of it.

 

One thing that is interesting is this: - All the things that seem to be missing from the world [Elven immortality, direct connection to the Fade, Dwarven connection to their Titans, Great Dragons] seem to be heavily tied to magic. Then something happened to sever all of them. I wonder if something out there specifically targeted magic and tried to remove it from Thedas.

 

Hence, the great 'betrayal' that Flemeth talks about ? Flemeth on Mythal: "She was betrayed as I was betrayed, as the world was betrayed !" In the opening of Dragon Age Origins, in the cutscene, you see a tree being blackened and fading away. The tree is the symbol of Mythal.

 

That point, Mythal murder coupled with something else, seemed to spark some major reactions in Thedas. Worse still, it appears that the beings responsible for them are still around. If not Mythal would not be working for few thousand years for vengeance.

Perhaps the Titans are important for dwarves life and Dragons for anyone else's, I have to point out that regardless their origin, Rock Wraiths are tainted creatures as well, yet their behavior isn't like any other tainted creature, perhaps I was wrong and their were looking for a Titan rather than for an Old God, it's odd, I know, but being related to something specific doesn't mean they are incompatible, a dwarf can drink Dragon's blood and become a Reaver, a human can ingest Titan's blood and become a Templar, and everyone can be affected either by the Darkspawn's taint or by Red Lyrium's

I don't want everything tied to the ancient elves and Fen'Harel but it's possible that putting the Titans to sleep is another one of the unexpected side effects -like the elves loosing their immortality and the Veil- of Fen'Harel sealing away the other Creators.

Greatly weakening magic with the Veil, and mankind's attempts to stamp it out entirely seems to be a major thing moving forward.

"Everyone will be as they were" in Sandal's prophecy might suggest that the Breach is the first step towards restoring the supernatural to Thedas.

yeah managed to get it to work I wasn't signed in at the time which was why it wasn't showing up on mine not played it yet though as I'm saving it for my next playthrough when I do it. Samke as what I did with Jaws of Hakkon really.

This DLC answered a ton of questions for me lore-wise;

1) Drinking the Titan's blood appeared to make the dwarves who recided inside the Titan immortal. This is a huge unveil! Could it be that the ancient elves drank the blood of Titans to become immortal? This would actually make a ton of sense, as it would explain just how some of these elves became so powerful, that others of their kin would mistake them for gods.

 

2) The Titans were erased from dwarven records by the Shaperate, because the economy of the dwarven kingdoms would collapse without lyrium, the lifeblood of the Titans. A race of super-massive creatures, forgotten, erased from all records. I would argue that the way these facts were presented points strongly towards the Titans actually being the creatures we know as the Forgotten Ones!

 

3) There has been a lot of speculation regarding the Void and its location. I'm now fairly confident that the Void is the realm inside the Titan. The description 'the Void' probably points to the region we reach before, in which Renn was killed and where everything appears to be one inpenetrable darkness, a void. This also means that the Pillars of the Earth are the Titans, and that Andruil at one point was there. Could her armor of the void have been armor similar to the one used by the dwarves protecting the Titan?

 

4) Dwarves can now be mages! The dwarven connection to the Titans and the elven connection to the dragons, seem to imply that all present day races in the Dragon Age universe somehow inherited magic from a predecessor race. Which begs the question; where does the Humans and the Qunari fit into the equation? 

 

5) If the Titan was awakened by the breach, then that implies a very strong connection to the Fade. Even more importantly, it tells us that the Titans and the Veil are directly linked. With the Veil stabile, the Titans remain asleep. Cause a breach to it or remove it all together and they awaken. Does this mean that the Veil was created not with the intent to seperate the Earth and the Fade, as previously assumed, but infact to cut the Titan's away from the Fade, with the purpose to have them fall asleep? Perhaps someone or something intentionally caused the Titans to fall asleep with the purpose of harvesting their blood?

 

6) The reckoning that Flemeth's speak of. Could it be a reference to the awakening of the Titans? A Dragon Age 4 named; the Titanomachy? 

 

7) If the inside of the Titan indeed is the place known as the Void, then this would mean that red lyrium didn't come from there. Unless of course red lyrium is the lifeblood of other Titans that were tained by the blight? What we did however learn is that red lyrium appears to be a powerful delivery agent for the blight, with begs the question whether the blight was originally a weapon of the Titans or simply ordinary lyrium, that were later repurposed by someone or something else.

 

8) It appears very plausible that the dwarves might have been created by the Titans, considering their ability to control them.

 

9) Ordinary lyrium appears just as capable of corrupting minds as red lyrum, judging by the behaviour of the dwarves living inside the Titan. Begs the question; was this 'brainwashing' made on purpose by the Titan, or did the dwarves do it to themselves?

 

10) Did we just learn of Solas motive for giving the orb to Corypheus? Could it be that Solas somehow intended to awake the Titans, using the orb, without causing a breach?

 

Many new questions indeed, but nevertheless a lot of potential holes in the DA lore were just given plausible explanations.

Ofc we knew the Titans were the ancestor of the dwarves and the Lyrium is their blood.

You just needed to connect the dots about what Cole, Dagna and OGB Kieran says about dwarves and Lyrium.
