Is there ANYWAY that to do an upgrade of my PS3 version of DAI on the PSN to change it to PS4 without having to rebuy the whole game all over again; like a $40 charge to change from the PS3 to PS4?

I bought the delux download think that this would have all the dlc like ME3 but now that the next one is ONLY on ps4 is ther anyway to do an upgrade?

I don't think so, unfornately. They should do it though considering they dropped the support for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Nope, there is currently no way to get a free upgrade from last-gen console to current-gen. ea wants maximise the milking of the consle market.

Hello unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade, if you are located in the United States, Amazon.com is offering DA:I for 29.99 http://www.amazon.co...Age Inquisition

In the below link, Bryan has given several reasons why offering a free or heavily discounted upgrade is impractical.

http://forum.bioware...-going-forward/

Essentially, Microsoft and Sony control distribution on their platforms ... and that complicates matters.

For those who desire to play newer DLC, I think the best option is to buy the next-gen game used, so that Bioware does not get additional revenue from last gen DAI customers buying DAI twice due to the fiasco of discontinuing support after only 7 months.

Although Bioware's devs say it's impossible it shouldn't be since other games have done that. Like Battlefield on PS3 to PS4, though you had to have digital copy of the game.

I guess Bioware just doesn't see last gen players important enough to try to even damage control. They pretty much offer no compensation over what they have done.

Battlefield was a launch title, and the offer was good for 4 months. You could easily make the same argument in this case for Diablo 3 or any of the remastered titles that exist out there.

Also what one title does, does not guarantee all titles can or will follow suite, if that was the case well then we would have seen more than Shadowrun as a Xbox360 cross MP platform.

Anyways this is outside of OPs question, so please use one of the existing threads for this.

It's on topic though? OP was asking about upgrade from PS3 and PS4, other user pointed out that Bioware won't due it and linked yours and other devs comments and I made point that other companies have given free upgrade from PS3 to PS4 so it should be possible for Bioware as well. It's part of discussion.

Point on my comment was that other developers have done it so it shouldn't be something impossible to Bioware if they wanted to make some damage control and come half-way with old gen players that got screwed and mislead by cross-gen game that suddenly transformed to new-gen one.

I can see from EA/Bioware point of not giving out free upgrades. I will use myself as an example. I purchase DAI for PS3. I wasn't sure when I would upgrade. When I finally did upgrade I had to rebuy the game. This is likely true for a lot of gamers who were in a similar situation. We would be deserving a free upgrade/refund as well.It shouldnt be limited to those games who got left behind by Bioware recent announcements to shutdown support of last gen.

As you can see it just create more problems because those of us are just as deserving as the ones who got left behind with the recent announcement. Take the PR hit which honestly isn't much a PR hit anyways and just move on.

Situation is not similar. Cause you didn't have to upgrade- well unless your game was completely broken like some players game, but you should have gotten refund then although Bioware didn't give those either- your choice was to upgrade. That would be like saying: I had game on XBONE, but want to play it on PC now so I want it free! It's because drop of support: DLC and patch support that Bioware should give free copies to people, because the game that was supposed to be cross-gen game isn't it anymore. You have already bought the game for some other reason than dropped support so your situation is different.

Situation is completely the same. I had to rebuy the same game on upgraded console. Basically what gamers now are being ask to. So yes those gamers in a similar situation as me would be just as deserving of refund/upgrade as the ones who recently got left behind. They are being ask to rebuy the game on a new console. How is this any different from our situation? The answer is there isnt a difference. It just timing is different.

Situation is different because it seems that panda and many other gamers are not ready to upgrade and to be told the only way to finish your adventure with your inquisitor is to jump to next gen is rather upsetting. Your situation is more akin to mine, I bought a xbone because I thought it was next gen only but the copy I had became bugged like hell from patches 3 and so on, I couldn't get a refund because it was past the 30 days I had to return it.(even though I didn't break the game but the patches did) I sold that copy then bought the digital copy for 20 or 30$ to see if it ran any better than the physical copy and it has with little to no bugs.

Sorry got a little off topic but what I'm trying to say is you and I upgraded because we wanted to but other gamers that love the DA franchise that play on old gen have to upgrade.

Your situation would be similar as someone not wanting to play game anymore on XBONE and buying PC version and then wanting PC version free.

Bioware's lack of future support in patching and DLC's is what makes PS3 and XBOX360 versions of game something that shouldn't have happened. If the support continued as long as other consoles situation would be different and no free upgrade wouldn't be needed (though I'd still complain about lack of fixes in the patches cause game is still so broken).

So difference is that old gen version of the game is dropped now and it wasn't before.
