Let me start by saying that Inquisition is my favorite game I've greatly enjoyed playing since Skyrim. This is an excellent turn around from Dragon Age 2, well done Bioware. That said, I think everything is pretty good, little to no changes for the most part.

But, I feel this game lacks a couple things, and hopefully my suggestions will fuel a debate, and that said debate will hopefully persuade the employees of Bioware to make changes before this game is done for good.

To start will be the last quest in the main story, "Doom Upon All the World." This was a great quest, the final satisfying moment when Corypheus died, knowing he'd been bested by a mortal with his fade anchor. But the quest seemed a little too rushed. Once it began, you go straight to the boss fight, nothing else in between. For this I recommend an extended cut dlc. When you guys made Mass Effect 3, you made the battle against the Reapers longer, included scenes in one place and another, and even heartwarming words from Shepherd and his/her love interest. The final battle against Corypheus seemed really short in my opinion. Perhaps you could include additional scenes during the last mission, a struggle before the final confrontation, maybe final remnants of the venatori and/or red templars and demons, trying to stop the Inquisitor from reaching the magister, and additional cutscenes and battles in different places, maybe having Corypheus' army attack Skyhold, and for a time you command another party to fight off the Inquisition's enemies at home, sort of something like the last mission in Denerim where you face the Archdemon and it's darkspawn minions, and control another party for a time to defend the city gates in Dragon Age Origins. And also maybe include a final romance scene like for Mass Effect 3, spending time with your romance choice alone before heading into battle. If something can be done for this quest, it would be a tremendous turnaround.

I also feel that this game lacks Origin stories for your Inquisitor. This is one thing I've always enjoyed since Origins, playing your character's background story before the prologue. .  It gives you an idea of where your character came from, how they act, and giving you chances to be a good or bad person before the Conclave. If you could find some way to incorporate that into the game, I feel it would make this game better.

I really feel that this game needs a dlc companion, and more cameo appearances. It would be nice if we got to work with an old friend from as far back as Origins, like Oghren or Shale, maybe even bring back one of the Hawke twins if either one survived, or maybe bring in a new person like Harding into the inner circle. A dlc companion was provided for the first two Dragon Age games and last two Mass Effect games, and I find it unfair that Inquisition doesn't have a dlc companion of it's own yet. That should be rectified.

The outfit. I cannot stand the same outfit over and over and over on all the Inquisitor's that you can make. A new wardrobe is needed. It would be nice if the Inquisitor was given new outfits to choose from while roaming about Skyhold, or make it more colorful so it matches the Inquisitor's origin. Maybe black and yellow for a Tal-Vashoth, green and purple for a circle mage, blue and grey for a carta dwarf, something like that. Skyhold also has some additional space that is not open to the players yet. Maybe some additional things that have never been added to the game yet could fill those empty spots?

And last, but most certainly not least, this game needs more voice actors. Most voices in the game are exactly the same as previous characters we meet. We should have people who haven't provided there voices yet like Troy Baker or Sean Bean, Robin Atkin Downes, Ellen Page, people like that, maybe hearing old voices like Felicia Day and maybe give Laura Bailey a bigger role in a dlc. And a celebrity's voice would be a nice change as well. Maybe incorporate Robert Downey Jr or some other actor into Inquisition? The game would be more interesting with voices like that. And maybe add two more voices for the male and female Inquisitor? The voices we have are good, but a few more is a bit better. If so, perhaps get Wes Johnson  or Kratos' TC Carson and other actors for the Inquisitor too.

These are my suggestions for Inquisition. Hopefully some of you will agree with me, and hopefully this reaches the bosses of Bioware and they work with some of these, if not all of them.

I disagree. Don’t get me wrong I love to hear dialogs voiced by talented actors. But in the same time this is the problem with games today, they hire expensive voice actors, composers, musicians, instead putting this money to refine gameplay mechanics. Now add to this useless marketing tricks to flood people's minds with false promises, bribed reviews, and you get half finished with bad animation, short story lined and buggy as hell game which costs a lot of money to make and we buyers have to pay for all of that. I say stop hiring famous actors, hire a student from acting school, I'm shore beginners can voice act as good as famous actors you just have to pick the right one. Enough with overhyped campaigns, open channels on twitch and youtube show us your work in progress, interview with devs, people will come to listen and give feedback for free and bam! this is your promotion no more spending millions on internet rotten magazine reviews we all know they bribed and we stopped trusting them long time ago. Fire your marketing team, the one you have right now is bad anyway, and hire good programmers right now you code is abysmal. Be close to players not to some lying hucksters, spent your money on project you working on and not on promo events.

You do know that there has been quite a bit of backlash against DLC characters in earlier Bioware games?

I can certainly agree with the rushed feel of the end mission, more voice actors (at least for variety's sake - I personally have trouble maintaining interest with either of the male VAs), and the awful Skyhold outfit. Extended DLC for the ending could do it, but at the same time, I almost would prefer they just make a story DLC that properly ties up some loose ends (Particularly for any Lavellans that choose Solas as their LI).

As for this DLC companion point, Bioware is probably never going to do one again, because too many people didn't realize that including the structural code for additional companion DLC was not the same as cutting content and selling it later. It's a PR thing they don't want to deal with again, I believe, so it's unlikely additional companions will appear mid-game.

Also not sure if I agree or not with the cameos. I personally am not fond of them because I find that too many of them are either frustrating or pointless. Frustrating, because I hate reintroducing my PC, and because it makes me miss my old characters too much (If I'm going to see Alistair again, for example, I'd rather see him with my Warden, who actually has an established relationship). Pointless, because occasionally there's just no reason for them to reappear (I hated seeing Leliana again. I think she's a fine character in her own right, but I'm honestly sick of seeing her after Origins, because she shows up in Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Masked Empire, and Asunder. Also, she has her own DLC. Enough already.)

I will admit though, that if a cameo can be done well, I wouldn't mind seeing an old character. If our future PC have reason to travel to Par Vollen, for example, it would be reasonable to expect we might see

I've been playing Dragonage from the first instalment and have been waiting for Inquisition with alot of excitement.

I've just finished the game, really took my time and explored the massive world you have built.

Commendable:

- Appreciated that the many different world was a departure from the 2nd Dragonage where maps were overused and recycled.

- Fight scenes were simpler (but also a con below)

Cons and to be improved on:

  • Old games and its decisions were just not imported well
  • Tactics were extremely buggy and characters either go to the wrong place etc- it's hard to be really strategic in the fight scenes- I almost wanted to shout at the characters to HOLD THEIR POSITIONS!

Maps:

- Places sometimes are too big and no interactive ability. For examples, the beautiful quarters for the inquisitor was pretty useless.

Conversations:

- The script was seriously unexciting. Little risks were taken to be more candid nor were the characters eventful... leading us to the next one:

Characters in your party:

- Oh my goodness I cannot say more that I struggled to continue playing the game because the party companions bored me to bits. There were little character development which was what made the game fun to bring party members along and fighting with them. They have some interesting dialogues while on the road, but nothing that is interactive while back at Skyhold.

Final battle disappointment:

- I felt really short changed. It felt like a very direct normal quest battle that had no excitement, nothing to really grip you emotionally at all. A lot of games today bring the character through the entire story and really tie you to the main quest (as players may veer to many other side quests). I could only choose ONE party to go with me to the final battle- in the past dragonages, I was in battle together with my companions, maybe I had to deploy some soldiers to another place, and maybe I needed some party companions to hold the fort in another place- there was NONE of that!

In conclusion, I feel that the game lacked imagination to engage the player. It does have great maps, alot of detail- really beautiful. (I even bought a new laptop so that I can enjoy the game's beautiful maps), but the engagement and interest level of the essence of having interactive AI (cool party members) is lost. I did not feel as satisfied as I did in my previous games and I doubt I will be excited or interested in the whole Solas story next. HE IS SO BORING i was bored out of my mind in my conversations with him.

Hopefully the team who did make Dragonage so successful in the first one somehow find their way back to the team because it's getting so mechanical to play.
