Hunter's skill trees reworked

Is there another way to make those traps worthwhile, a way normal user will be able to use, not just elite players?

 

Probably not unless the devs make changes to the core skills or if we start adding really powerful passives that only work with traps.

 

Poisoned Weapons as it is would already be good enough for the Hunter to pick it up so I don't think it needs any changes. Poisoned Weapons also makes Elemental Mines better.

 

Toxic Cloud could be fixed in a couple of ways. We could just buff its damage, perhaps by making the poison effect stack or something. Other way to buff it would be to add some new effect to it. If we could make Toxic Cloud more like the Lightning Cage or Disruption Field so that the enemies caught in it will actually stay there. That change would make Toxic Cloud in to a great crowd control ability. Or just make it a really effective Caltrops, 90% movement speed slow or something. Lots of possibilities.

 

Both Elemental Mines and Spike Trap have the same problem that they are very awkward to use. They would probably be okay if we just buffed their damage so much that they would seem broken on paper.
