Seeing as the end of the Golems of Amgarrack dlc showed hundreds of Harvesters pouring out of the ruins of Amgarrack, is there going to be a follow up because the Harvesters should have a massive impact in the future of the Dragon Age universe.

The reason the Harvester are going to have a massive impact is because the Harvester appears to be able to replicate itself from the flesh of the dead and with Amgarrack no longer sealed the Harvesters will be able to feast at will rather then feasting on only those who stumble into Amgarrack.

At some point there will be no Darkspawn at all in the Deep Roads because the Harvesters would have eaten them and then turned their greedy eyes to the rest of Thedas.

It would also give an explanation as to where the Hunger Demons went in DA:I, as they were possesing piles of corpses to become Harvesters in the Deep Roads.

Maybe in the descent DLC. The tremors might be caused by the harvesters.

Golems of Amgarrak had no slot in the Dragon Age Keep, if I remember correctly. Granted, it wasn't like there were really any options to make in there, but its lack of presence makes me uncertain that the ending wasn't just a smack of messing around (the gist of the scene is a pretty common sight in various horror and sci-fi movies).

If they did include it in Descent DLC, I suppose they would make the assumptions that a living Warden traveled there, and if the Warden died in Denerim, than the Orlesian Warden.

Fun thing of note: one of Varric's war table missions (I'm afraid I don't recall which one specifically), references a favor owed to him by House Dace for funding an expedition of theirs, which I believe can be assumed to be Jerrik's Dace's expedition into Amgarrak. So perhaps we will see something from the Harvester's again. It would be a fun idea.

There's already a followup: it's called "Dragon Age 2's penultimate boss"

I doubt it. There is a couple of nods to GoA in DAI, though. The dwarves in the Winter Palace mention House Dace is blocking all attempts to explore Amgarrak and you can enlist Jerrik's help during Varric's line of War Table operations.

No, that was, "We need to put a boss fight here. What art assets do we have lying around?"
